when KITT was dumped into that acid puddle and was slowly sinking begging for Michael to help and he was just standing desperate to help but simply couldn't do anything it was so traumatizing and touching to little me way back when. they just do not make things in entertainment as emotionally involving and captivating anymore these days.
@Raxes ! yes I that remembered episode...I felt really really sad for KITT when he needed his human partner's help and Michael wasn't able to help him.....it was really a sorrowful moment there for the both of them and me
Jesus Guerra it was good when they did this back in the 70’s . Showing that women weren’t just there for men to look at and that some women actually have a brain. There was still a lot of work to do back then and the job still isn’t completely done now. Far from it.
@@MrGruffteddybear I would expect no less. And I am deeply touched by that dreamy flashback Michael has of the great times he and K.I.T.T. had together!
paymydues Honestly, if you start picking out errors and discontinuities with Knight Rider, you will be doing that forevermore - the show was riddled with them. It it doesn’t matter - nothing about it was remotely realistic, so just enjoy it for what it was; a fun show with a cool car.
It was a drama that I loved so much during my elementary school days😍 I could not see it on air, and I could not feel my heart all day long when I went to school☺
I don't know if this triggered in me or I was into stuff before, but I really loved this episode of KITT gets basically destroyed and rebuilt, I often reenacted the scene with LEGO and similar scenarios where I destroyed my build and then as the restoration I reassembled it from memory.
@@alfredodistefanolaulhe2212 yeah some things really have stayed with me from a very young age and this was one of them. Of course Knightrider wouldn't really have meant much to me then but always remember the cool black car on TV. I was about 18 before I became really interested in it again and realised it was a Pontiac Firebird. I then bought a black 1985 Pontiac Transam when I was 29.
I think they did this a lot back in the 1970’s and 80’s. It’s kind of a lost art but maybe lawyers and law suits are a bit more sophisticated now, so it’s less easy to get away with blatantly ripping off a well known tune , to the point where everyone knows which tune you’re ripping off . I think it still regularly happens even now. I’m sure Simon Cowell does it all the time. Lolz 😂
watched this episode 2 days ago. although it was sad seeing kitt get destroyed it was great seeing him get rebuilt and in the end him and Micheal caught the people responsible
That common movie/TV show phenomenon didn't get entirely past William Shatner as Buck Murdock in Airplane 2 when on his Moon base he enquires to one of his staff concerning some station 'equipment'. What's the purpose of that thing where the "lights keep moving forwards and backwards" "It doesn't seem to have any purpose what so ever"! Exactly!
I find it kind of funny that here Michael can‘t do anything and doesn‘t know how to help and in Knight Rider 2000 he basically builds one himself with old parts. That times. I likes that movie and it‘s a shame that they didn‘t make something out of it.
That movie to me NON-EXISTENT, as well as anything else other than the original show with the name Knight Rider. Every continuation was SHIT and TRASH!
You'll have to be sharp to spot this but if you freeze the clip at 5.34 & look to the extreme right of the shot, you can see the grey KITT parked up while the black KITT is nailing the test run. Guess they couldn't whip him into shape & replaced him after all, eh? 😆😆😆
@@SA-zoom1 Thank you. 😉 To be honest, I didn't spot it on RU-vid I was watching the episode on DVD on a massive HD TV some time ago & had to wind it back. 'Wait, what was that?' 😁 I've watched some of these old shows on HD TV Airwolf, A Team etc & the things you spot in HD these days that you never would have seen in analogue may undermine them a little but they remain classics nonetheless. ✌👍
The German voice of Michael Knight (Andreas von der Meden, unfortunately he died in 2017), was a very famous voice in Germany. He also spoke Kermit the frog (Muppets, Sesame Street), was often to hear in US series and many audio-plays (on tapes in the 70s and 80s). KITT's German voice (Gottfried Kramer, he tragically comitted suicide in 1994) also was a famous voice in many films and audio-plays.
Feck! 4min 23 - Bonnie's console is the self destruct console from the Tv movie V final battle. It was the scene on the mothership at the end of the story.
Also at 4:02 as the camera pans down, you can see a 1st season dash instalation ,when by this time in the show (and previous shot's) K.I.T.T has the upgraded 3rd season one. Maybe a bit anal but fans do notice these things.

Mit ihren weißen Kitteln sieht das eher aus wie eine Folge der "Schwarzwaldklinik"... :-)) Da fehlen nur noch Professor Brinkmann und Oberschwester Hildegard.
