Where can I find a thin LED scanner for my 4th Gen? And not the cheapo eBay ones that I have been using for nearly 10 years, but break every year from the airflow/weather...
Nice. Do you sell the controller by itself or the circuit diagram/plans? I am making a custom scanner for a race car, ie not a replica so a very different size/shape, but would save me having to make one myself 🙂
Several years ago Mark Scrivani from MCK had the chance to restore a screen used car. In the disassembly documentation he showed pictures of the scanner and it had 100W bulbs. Such scanner was replicated with the same light bulbs by me in the past and it had a trail effect more consistent with the one seen in the show.
@@andreaiannaccone5640 Ah, yes, I know this car well, and have seen it in person. Interestingly, the scanner that Mark saw and documented during his restoration was built and installed by Carl Casper's Hollywood Productions after Knight Rider was cancelled, when he owned the car and toured it at car shows to continue promoting the show. Being the Knight Rider Historians, we follow these details quite closely. You've done a fantastic job here re-creating the true look of the original scanner, and we thank you!!!
@@contactATashleygriffin It is true that with the right programming a very good effect is achieved but personally I prefer how the Incadescent lamps look. Best regards.
