Knights in general? Of course the Enforcement Knight that attacked the Civilians, how can I forget him? Seriously though, I like Charli/Karl from Extella Link the most.
Part of the dificulty in judgeing this to begin with is that the arthurian legends have a bad habit of calling whichever knight is the current protagonist the best knight in the world, often multiple times. Its actualy kind of funny, it feels a bit like angry fanfic writers insisting their OC is the best at times.
If I remember correctly Lancelot is an OC created by a priest to promote courtly romance to the Arthurian legend and after a few rewrite of the legend Lancelot and almost all of his fanfic become canon to the Arthurian legend. So yeah most of the Arthurian legend is a fanfic by previous author and somehow most of them become canon.
@@iryu7288 You remember correctly. Lancelot is actually a (comparatively) late addition to the mythos, though he is still firmly in the category where he's pretty much universally agreed to be "cannon" He is also notably French, which is very telling because at the time the Arthurian Ledgends were more popular in France than they were in England. A new character gets added whos the bestest fighter ever and he just so happens to be French. Gawain is the original champion who's a stronger fighter than the King but suffers from spiritual flaws, he goes right back to the oldest oral traditions. Galahad is where real problems begin to emerge, he is such a late addition to Arthurian myth that its difficult to really call him a feature of it and he has many qualities common to Mary Sues, such as being absolutely perfect in every way, beloved by everyone and being the strongest Knight ever who god just straight up declares to be the perfect man second only to Jesus. This general inconsistency and ocasonal propaganda like tone is why Tolkien despised Arthurian myth. For myself however it doesn't bother me. While you need to take Arthurian legend with a grain of salt, and there are definitely characters that are more dubious than others, for the most part the general outline of what we call Arthurian cannon is fairly clear. Its a blurred outline, but not so blurred that we cant put our finger on it. Hopefully that makes sense and doesn't just sound like crazy rambling lol.
It's making me cringe every time some people I know make their OCs some omnipotent beings with godlike power, while I've always make mine at least have two or three human weaknesses. I can't stay away from science, after all.
@@VitchAndVorty well I do something like that but separate character or alternate universe ( one who have many flaw and one almost Mary sue ) Edit: skip this if you don't read my oc thing. @@phantasosxgames8488 I would hesitate as we don't know what his sword in Saber form would do, but we know one of them is the Sword of David, and that one seems to be the one he and Mash have at their waist.
Honestly, I want to see Galahad’s full skill set You know in the Lostroom when Galahad appeared he was covered in an mostly unrecognizable mist that dropped the moment he prepared and activated Lord Camelot to deflect Does he have something similar to For someone’s honor, does his protection extend even to identity Could he summon the sword of red hilt (presumably the second sword Galahad would have) We need the full move set eventually
@@theflyingace611 Wouldn't his Saber form be similar to Galahad Alter from Requiem? Finally my man Arthur getting the respect he deserves. Also, we still don't know if Arthur has Avalon, but it's not wrong to assume that he has since the story of both Arthur and Artoria is the same (except the magic dick, gender of the merlin, reason why mordred turn against the king and personality). He would be fricking OP with full unsealed Excalibur and Avalon.
We can assume he possessed Avalon (or a version of it) at one point, but the difference is the we have absolutely no idea where his version is. He definitely doesn't possess it as a servant, but that's all we know
@@lucaswinsor4469 Actually it's very possible he had it upon summon by Manaka or she gave it to him . Her father asked him for something and it was put into Ayaka during Prototype prequel and it was IT that allowed her summoning Arthur.
Actually, Saber lancelot can still use other weapons as his own. He just... chooses not to. To be fair, arondite is a far better than most anything he can pick up off the ground and it's unbreakable
Unfortunately for Percival, he also lost a deal of his legends to Galahad, whom would later become known as the Knight of the Grail in Percival's place
We come back months later to hear that Percival fought In two to three grail wars. Mans out here fighting grail wars like nothing other than getting it done on a Tuesday Night Shift
Funny thing is that Fate actually nerfed Bedivere as he was much stonger in the original and oldest Welsh myths to such a point that he was outright said to be Arthur strongest knight even through he only had one arm. He even had a magic lance as a weapon that could strike 9 times for even hit he made in his opponents unfortunately it didn't seem to have any fancy name like most of the knights weapons. This was before Gawain and favourite French Oc insert Lancealot took postion of top knight and he become a more minor character in later myths.
I'm so sad there isn't an anime with Arthur being the MC hope at least they include him in FGO story for the next beast fight Arthur definitely deserved first place
@@Comet_373 Arthur more likely. They have similar stats across the board but with different focuses. Artoria has higher Luck and Mana whereas Arthur has higher Strength and Endurance. In fight without Avalon to boost them then I would give it to Arthur simply because he'll likely be able to outlast and out damage Artoria in the long run. If both had Avalon though then it boils down to who makes the first mistake. Artoria's luck might factor into that but at that point it's up the writer than based on their actual stats.
@@tronovonflidder775 If we're talking about both of them at their peak then Arthur's actually still has the upper hand overall. Under Manaka, he's got Strength (A), Endurance (A+), and Mana (A). If it's a contest to see who can outlast the other then Arthur's far more likely to win cause he has firepower, defense, and stamina down pat. This guy survived losing half his body during the battle with Ozy. That's how far his endurance can go. Even at his worst at E-rank Mana, he puts up a fight that wrecks part of Shinjuku and nearly gets Proto-Gilgamesh killed. Artoria has equal strength and mana under similar circumstances but her defense is still weaker. So unfortunately I have to pin my chances on Arthur coming out on top. In an overall fight though it would boil down to who's the more skilled swordsman. I don't see either spamming Excalibur cause collateral damage and all that, not unless it's a fight to the death anyway but like you said they'll just cancel each other out so the point is moot.
If I remember correctly, didn't Arthur also fought the beast VI/666 and defeated beast VI/666 in Fate/Prototype? and then after that it turns out the beast somehow is still alive and now he is hunting for it throughout the multiverse? Then that makes him even more respectable in terms of feat.
Gawain should be higher. Also, its kinda wack to out Galahad since we are actually yet to kow the true capabilities of Galahad. He should be at least near lancelot.
It was implied Gawain was at the same level as Artoria in Fate/Extra, it was implied with Avalon I think it was due to the sun. I didn't understand have Bevidere Excalibur overpowered Galatine either considering their strength isn't far apart
@@nevagongoflawless6340 there is sun. There was a whole bit of story of us trying to beat him by turning off the sun. It's a digital sun but to him it was real. When we beat Leo in the fight it was sunset
Going from the various stories of Galahad in Arthorian legends, he's the straight up strongest there is. There's even a story about him absentmindedly unseating Lancelot in a impromptu joust on a random road. At that point, I don't think Lancelot had ever been beaten before
You know, if we're taking into account Servant feats for Arthur, it should be noted that in his first interlude in FGO that he actually took on Arash, Mordred, and Proto-Cu in a 3v1 sparring match and they were barely doing anything to him. Mordred even had to take pride that she managed to hit him once during the whole thing lol.
Everyone also has to remember, when Bedivere was journeying and doing all these feats in Camelot, he was completely human, and as a servant, he is obviously stronger
17:48 Was a Grand Saber ever confirmed in FGO? I've read theories that a version of King Arthur with Avalon would make him a strong candidate for a Grand Servant.
@saber 1616 if you think about arthur in his true form alive with the core and Avalon plus the seals unleashed he would easily be stronger than most grand servants in fact only people stronger than him would be beasts
@saber 1616 but i think it would be to much if merlin or proto merlin was the grand saber since he's already a grand caster and even his overall power or skills besides clairvoyance are still remain unknown as caster, but if it really is merlin or proto merlin i would not be suprised, but i would like to see if artoria or arthur to be the the grand saber sice artoria had a lot of treasury in camelot like rhongomyniad, prydwen, avalon, etcs even mash shield was made of arthur chair. maybe (just maybe) if artoria or arthur have all the treasury of camelot as a servant would be pretty enough to make her a grand servant to me. i still dont know about castoria since im not there yet in fgo tho, other than that ur theory was really good tho even i would love to see merlin proto to be grand saber lol.
@saber 1616 yes when arthur said he value excalibur more than its sheath merlin scolded him saying "Please make no mistake here. The sword slashes the enemy, but the sheath protects you. As long as you have the sheath on you, you will spill no blood and take no wounds. You should truly value the sheath, not the sword", merlin was training artoria before she pulled the caliburn, but yeah even merlin himself said he prefered wielding sword rather than casting spells since he was so lazy to cast a spell so thats made the point if he might be a really good sword wielder which can made him a saber (grand)class, but seeing 2 same character as a grand servant are not possible for me since every single hero from grand servant are different, as for grand servants theres no way it could be a *4 since the title itself means to protect humanity it will be guaranteed to be a *5. the only possibilities we know is that kawasumi is voicing grand saber. and in fate she only voiced artoria and merlin proto if i remember correctly,
Some of the power levels compared between fate and the 'real' round table are pretty interesting. Lancelot was busted as hell in the original lore. Basically could only be beaten in a real fight by Galahad, who had literal CHAD VIRGIN powers. And then Galahad fucked off with the grail and Lancelot continued being an unstoppable monster until everyone else straight up died and he was all that was left. Agravain is implied to be pretty strong in fate, but in the 'real' lore I only remember him ever touching a sword one time, and it was when he tried to attack Lancelot while he was naked, and Lancelot killed him with a chair. Mordred wasn't really that good of a swordsman either. He gained power mainly through politics, and only managed to trade killing blows with Arthur because he was old and barely able to even get up from his desk the night before their final battle. He basically spent his final day depressed, lamenting the fact that his entire life's work had fallen apart around him, and he was going to die alone not able to fix all of the things he could have done better had he been smarter. Then STILL managed to kill Mordred. Gawain I always thought was a more interesting character in original lore. Ended up being the last knight loyal to Arthur, even though he was raised to believe Arthur was his sworn enemy. He took Arthur's ideals to heart and ended up being the true model knight, something even Lancelot failed to do in the end.
If we’re bringing up Arthur’s feats, do we also bring up Lucius Tiberius? An Emperor of Rome who wielded a goddess blessed blade, Florent, Hindu Demons feared him, has super-regeneration, he was able to handily defeat both Gawain and Bedivere by himself at the same time and Arthur was able to fight on par with him.
@Alex Brockmann But she’s a lolli with a reveling outfit, automatically moving her way down the list. Record of Ragnarok’s interpretation of Jack the Ripper is much cooler, you should check it out, it’s a good read.
Facts, Arthur has always been goated. He may have gotten shafted in fgo, but mans has always been on sight. I'm really hoping we get a lot more of the prototype verse, it's always been interesting to me.
Lancelot. In all the stories he's just the most relatable. His flaws make him more interesting. And that's him from the real lore. Saber Lancelot is my boy and I'm working on grailing him now lol
Honestly Fate Bedivere is actually nerfed from the myths as he was much stonger there and in the older myths was even called Arthur strongest knight. Although this was before french OC lancealot was added to the myths
Mordred had the "too angry to die" passive skill, and I agree that her wild fighting style dismissing normal knight swordplay makes her very unpredictable and dangerous; to her, rubbles, environment, everything can be used as a weapon.
Keep in mind Mordred reinforced with a Command Spell agaisnt Siegfried. Without that, she would have lost. His advantages over her thanks to her dragon traits would have been too much. And another thing; Lancelot can use Knight of Owner as a Saber. It's just listed as a Skill in FGO due to how things are set up there, it's still a NP. EDIT: Like how it devolved into a discussion of Artoria vs Mordred
Also don't forget if we take into account her battle against sieg It was stated she would lose if sieg had been able to transform again and use all of Siegfried's powers Siegfried doesn't get enough credit which is sad
@@Nekogami04 trueee Like most servants were stronger when they were alive(exceptions such as Angra or those that rely on fame like Jason do exist) but Siegfried was just broken in life and was nerfed by being a servant
Also keep in mind that Mordred was fairly injured at the start of her fight with transformed Sieg at it said that the order from the comand seal was too vague, resulting in Mordred only getting boosted back up to her normal, uningured ability. If she had been uningured at the start of the fight, she would have been able to do the same thing without the comand seal.
@@appliepi that is true but that still speaks that Siegfried was just a superior servant to Mordred since she was boosted up to normal and she admitted that sieg would've won if he transformed again and inherited Siegfried's full power
Also, just so you know, Tristan's strongest class is Saber. He's just mostly summoned as an Archer because of Failnaught's legend outshining Curtana's.
@@BoopaKing Well, the extent of Merlin's magic is rather unknown, we don't really know what he can or can't do, the game won't really tell us, the anime won't really tell us either, we know he is a mage of flowers, he can summon and use Excalibur, can create illusions and use offensive magecraft like mana bursts beams and orbs.
I found it funny how in the novel the shockwaves from the clashes between Mordred and Siegfried was shaking the Yggdmillennia castle (that was located *miles away*) to the point where people inside worried it might collapse but then Mo-san herself mentions that Arturia is physically superior to her. Imagine her and Herc swinging at each other without having to worry about their surroundings. Guess HF clash is the closest we'll get to see it in terms of animation.

Putting Artoria below Lancelot is common sense, But Gawain is too low, not for thing Lancelot and Gawain are meant to be equals. Also, actual Siegfried (not Sieg) wouls easily defeat Mordred and Artoria.
If you're referring to the fight that Galahad had against Lancelot, he was barely fighting back and even after he "lost", he didn't even seem to be hurt.
I believe he was referring to the actual legend of King Arthur and not the singularity. Galahad did defeat Lancelot in a one-on-one duel and it earned him a spot on the round table.
The fight you are talking about was Mash vs Lanceelot whitch tells us nothing about Galahad abilities or skills as he is stonger then her so no use trying to scale him from that.
Well the sword itself isn't meant to be a weapon, it's largely ceremonial in the path to ascending the throne, but yes. Her forcefully taking it when she wasn't worthy/right puts it an entire rank lower than what it should be.
As far as I know, proto Arthur also specializes on fighting large enemies and these enemies are dangerous in its own right. That makes me believe Arthur is stronger than artoria
Excalibur was forged to destroy Sefar/Velber 02, who shitted on all the gods that were on Earth in 12.000 b.c. (the only other character/thing that was able to defeat Sefar, was Zeus fused with all the other machine gods of olympus, in the lostbelt 5 version of history). So yes, Excalibur is the goat
I feel like Percy is a lot stronger since he: A. Is the OG Grail-knight and being Galahad's predecessor isn't something to sneeze at B. Wields Longinus, the lance that pierced Christ, albeit in a restricted state C. He's a buff Bro That being said I don't really see him above Bedivere and we know so little about Agravain's strength I wouldn't know where you could put him
@@gypsysprite4824 yes. The lostbelt version was just an ordinary human kid who died after one use of Longinus: Count ZERO. He had black and white hair. The one we get is the real Percy. Melusine confirms that in her my room dialogue for him
Percival is a strange hero because he's appeared in more stories than any other but you don't hear much of him in modern days. I believe he's even on the journey where Gallahad finds the grail.
Lancelots greatest failing in fate zero... Is his master. He wasn't operating at peak power and he couldn't remain active for long. In fact he died as his master did. Meaning he ran out of mana and was no longer supplied with enough power to fight artoria.
In some of the older Welsh myths he was actually Arthur strongest knight and even had a magic spear he carried into battle. It's really odd that Fate nerfed him to such a level that he apparently isn't normal worthy of being a heroic spirt.
I haven't read the novels, but I've heard that the reasons Mordred was able to go toe toe against Sieg, and able to survive Fran's np was because of her master's command seals One to empower her vs Sieg And another to teleport her or boost her magic resistance against Fran's explosion. Are those true claims, or just people making things up?
It’s true in the anime, however I also didn’t read the novels. But during the fight with Fran, Caules commented on how stupid he felt after forgetting the opposing master could use command seals as well. Her armor was destroyed but the mana from the command seal improved her resistance to Fran’s NP. And with the fight with Sieg, Mordred asked her master to use another command seal so she could continue fighting.
@@tronovonflidder775 you are talking a lot of shit here . No offense intended mind you. You should make the difference between fgo gameplay and the actual lore. What do you mean Siegfried is niche ? He isn't. He literally hit everything hard and hit dragon even harder.
@@tronovonflidder775 how is mordred better than Siegfried when she barely could contend with sieg who is a noob with zero fighting experience ? Mordred herself said she can't beat Gawain at night let alone under the sun. Also I want to point out the anime representation of Mordred fight against sieg and frankenstein is BS. In the anime when frankenstein used blasted tree it look like mordred just tanked it and survive. That is wrong Sisigou, mordred master used a command spell to teleport her away. Without that she would have died. However If Siegfried was on mordred position he wouldn't take a single amount of damage from frankenstein noble phantasm. When mordred went against sieg transformed she needed a command spell from her master to help her focus on the fight and be at her best. Regardless she was unable to do anything against Sieg who I want to emphasize is just a noob . Later they both used their nobles Phantasms. Somehow mordred survived the explosion that resulted from it by pure luck but was completely wasted with her armor gone. Mordred herself noted that If sieg was just a step closer she would have died . Sieg however who was still transformed suffered no damages from the explosion from their nobles Phantasms. In the anime they managed to screw that one by forgetting Siegfried is immune to anything that is B-rank and below. Even A-rank just become E-rank meaning mordred noble phantasm would have done nothing to sieg. So do you understand how much you overestimate mordred capability ?
As a Mordred fangirl, I will point out that during her fight with Bedivere she never actually used Mana Burst until she let out CBA. Which is a very notable exclusion.
No one shall know the truth Behind that faithful day Artorigus went forth To where the brilliant sword displayed Twis the first of many feats So great Artorigus, we sing of him The noble and the brave -Two tales of the noble knights
Also, Arthur has the Stronger Excalibur. At best, Artoria's Excalibur is Anti-Army/Anti-Fortress. Arthur's is Anti-world (if he fights the likes of 666). Also, why skip on the other version of Fate/Prototype? Where he managed to defeat Proto Gilgamesh.
@@tronovonflidder775 for the Gil argument, yes, Gilgamesh is stronger than Prototype Gil, but almost mainly because of the lack of Ea on the latter. Although he might not have Ea, Prototype Gil seems to have better speed and skill(especially with Enki) compared to Gil, with Bab-Ilu(his Gate of Babylon) being better used in high speed battles compared to Gil's GoB, even defeating Herc(Yeah, Fate Gil also defeated Herc, but it still a great feat when Prototype Gil is much more focused on close ranged combat compared to Gilgamesh) As for the two Excaliburs, Excalibur did defeat the White Titan that kills Gods and was almost going to destroy the world, it was still weaker than Ea which clashed with it, where Gil held back before he unleashed it's full power, which was negated by Avalon, not Excalibur. Ea's attack power is based on twenty times Gil's strength and the number of treasure he collected, while massive, isn't strong enough to be Anti-World(that is Ea's conceptual nature that sees the Truth that makes it an Anti-World NP, not it's power), while Prototype Excalibur was able to overpower a NP who's power is Anti-World level in the form of Enki's Flood.
@@tronovonflidder775 Gil's Ea can't destroy the world with sheer power alone, that where it's conceptual nature of Truth comes in(that's why it was countered by Enkidu's own Enuma Elish, which was based on conceptual creation opposed to Gil's conceptual destruction). Its conceptual nature would bring the earth to it's Truth and origin, the Genesis(essentially, the world when it was still a big ass circle of lava and rock). Prototype Gil basically defeated Arthur in CqC, only to be defeated when Arthur used Excalibur (but he also did survive the blast). What's great about his win against Herc compared to Gil is that he took him down with CqC aswell(also, slight advantage with his other NP, which makes him the ultimate survivor, but Herc has Godhand and his other NP that guarantees Victory, which Gil was able to overcome without using the Flood), so it's not farfetch that Proto Gil can defeat Artoria. As for the Excaliburs, while, yes, less seals were used on her part during the fight between Gil and her, it's still stated that Ea(only sheer power) surpasses Excalibur and always has been stated to be Anti-Army, Anti-Fortress at best, never above, even when it used to kill Sefar, while Prototype Excalibur's maximum potential is said to be Anti-World (even has the Ex status compared to Artoria's A++). Hell, even 666 has Nega Messiah, which is said to be the same as Taimat's Nega Genesis, which give resistance to NPs(literally was needed to be removed so Ea can finish Taimat off), even with that, Arthur was able to injure it enough using only 6 seals to split it into two and retreat. Arthur, alone, was sent to destroy 666, a BEAST, who are usually tackled by 7 Grand Servants.
@@tronovonflidder775 hm, I can agree with you on the Excaliburs. We will just wait for any potential feats in the future to be fully sure about it. While not saying Artoria would be destroyed by Prototype Gil, this is still Gil, only without Ea but bloodlusted and more CqC focused. He is famously known to counter other Servants, afterall(as seen as to what happened with Herc and Arthur), so it's not out of the realm of possibility that she would lose to Prototype Gil, especially if he would send out Dragon slaying weaponry or Clarent for conceptual advantage.
looking at their parameters and skills, both based on Ritsuka being their master (type moon wiki goo brrr) Artoria's main advantages are in her magic core (and with it A rank mana) and her A+ Luck along with actually having an avalon if she has the opprotuniy to get it. While Arthur has better raw Strength (A rank to artoria's B rank) and endurance (A+) along with stomping big bois and I get the feeling that the two excaliburs themselves are literally the same, Arthur just is stuck with an easier time actually bringing out the full power thanks to the difference in how it's power is sealed. but at the same time that sword has gone through so many retcons that at this point i might be best to not factor it in
Agree. Reason why Arthur is scary to fight against is that he's got much more of a soldier attitude rather than a chivalrous attitude. Stil a fully fledged Knight, mind you. Just fights to kill every time, and rarely if ever pulls punches considering collateral.
Wasn't Kojiro's swordsmanship better? It was stated even in the anime. Of course, she jobbed by not using excalibur or something, but thats most on her end, a fatal weakness. Also, Kojiro wasnt all in on the first fight.
That's not a weakness of her. She can't use Excalibur carelessly cause Shirou is incapable of providing mana, so she has to contain her output, since she can stay in this world only relying on her own mana reserve.
For me, my favorite knight, and Servant has, and always will be Lancelot. It could be how he was portrayed in F/Z, his abilities, his badass appearance, his backstory, or all of the above. But when he first stepped on the field for the first time, and started putting GILGAMESH on the back foot, in such a badass way, I was in love. Add in Knight of Honor, For Someone Else’s Glory, and Arondight, and you have a beast of a character.
How do you justify putting mordred below gawain and tristan but artoria higher than them. Mordred is a copy of artoria. In their last battle they both mortally wounded eachother and died. They are on the same Power Level. The list really should Look like this. 1. Lancelot 2. Gawain 3. Tristan 4. Mordred/Artoria And Artoria is never stronger than gawain. We are talking her about an professional knight against a King. And Artoria doesnt have access to avalon thats just factually wrong. She will literally never be summoned with avalon, she lost it thats a fact.
artoria is way stronger than mordred just compare their stats mordred was already dead when she fatally wounded artoria it was a curse which allowed her to do so not to mention excaliber an A++ ranked noble phantasm
I've always liked Proto-Arthur's design since that old trailer with Shy looking waifu. I adore Saber but I'd kill for a grail war with those two directed by the same guy that did Fate:Zero.
to me bedivere was a gold coin among platinum coins better than normal knight but weak against the Demi god like upper knights of the round edit: also Gawain may possess the belt of the green knight what abilities do you think it would have if they ever use it
We also have some knowledge of Sir Kay as well but its probably not enough to know how strong he is exactly, but he might be somewhere in the lower half of the table -He is weaker at pure sword fighting then Artoria but is not stated by how much -He has beat giants which has been mentioned in both Bedivere's interlude and the Garden of Avalon novel -He is said to be the best swimmer of anyone in the round table which might be referring to a very old and obscure legend about being able to go nine days and nine nights without the need to breathe or to sleep, -He was in charge of the rear guard as well as the overall logistics during campaigns and maybe in general We even have a clue to his Noble Phantasm. In case files he has one called "Camelot Image: Fleeting Forgotten Castle" and from some jp wikis it seems to be a weaker version of Galahads Lord Camelot but with the ability to reflect any attack that destroys it (but its also described as a "Virtual Noble Phantasm" so if he ever shows up in the game it'll probably be different)
So a long time ago my mom told me I was named after the knight of the round table Tristan and while researching this was one of the 1st results. I'm not even into fate(mainly because I don't know where to start) but it still makes me happy that he is a badass apparently.

I would have put Galahad a but higher though since he hasn't been shown as full power and yet Mash could still stop Solomon's attack, and she is only using a part of that power.
MASSIVELY disagree with Gawain. It's literally been stated that Gawain can beat Mordred at night time without his Sun buff at all ontop of Gawain being multiple times compared to Karna throughout different parts of the fate series such as the Foxtail manga where they both fight and Gawain tanks Karna's A++ rank Vasvi Shakti with a vastly weakened Numeral of the Saint usage plus a defense/endurance boost from his master Leo before taking Karna out with excalibur galatine. Karna did have a crap master so he was somewhat nerfed but gawain was also nerfed cuase of it being night time and all plus it was stated that both servants were exceptional so the only reason Karna lost was cuase his master was worse then Leo. Gawain also was so powerful with sun buff that Lancelot could only stall him until the sun buff ended and he could finally beat him since Lancelot only really surpasses him in skill plus he has arondight which is an unbreakable blade meaning he could continuously parry without the issue of his sword breaking.
Gawain: "Hm. Sir Mordred's animalistic instinct has never led us astray...which means this will be difficult. Remember how you were lucky enough to run into me while I was in terrible shape because I hadn't fully healed after Lancelot? I'd normally beat you without even breaking a sweat, even at night. That defeat was due entirely to my own bad luck." Tristan's interlude Here's the proof if someone is still skeptical.
@@patrickstanley1723 Yet you forget to mention that in Tristan’s interlude that Tristan was capable of beating a full powered Sun Gawain. Gawain only beat Karna because he had the craziest god damn master in the entire series, and Karna had one of the worst. Not to mention Jinako is just in general terrible at giving orders.
And Gawain was unable to beat Lancelot despite having his sun buff. Yeah, Lancelot couldn’t beat him either, but Lancelot was able to fight for hours until the sun went down. That gives us a pretty clear view of who the stronger knight is in the story.
@@ruta9044 I don't think they are comparing Gawain to the other knights of the round table, just Mordred. Well, except for the Gawain vs Lancelot one, where they seem to be equal under sun light.
@@ruta9044 and your statement is dumb. I shouldn't have to bring up Tristan AGAIN because the video ALRDY STATES IT. as the other guy said this is more about me saying his claim of him believing Mordred to be better without sun buff then the rest. Also Lancelot COULDNT BEAT SUN GAWAIN until his buff runs out either so SUN GAWAIN and Lancelot should be about relative in power though I can understand Lancelot being one spot ahead or something simply BECUASE he had to stall him till he won.
I understand why Gareth is at the bottom of the list (I’d honestly put her there myself as well), but I honestly think you’re kind of sleeping on her power level wise. While we don’t know if the story is canon to Fate, in the Arthurian mythos, while disguised, Gareth actually did beat Gawain in a 1v1 fight. So while I do honestly believe she really is the weakest one of the knights, she is not that much weaker than the other knights.
They murdered my boy Gawain in the Camelot movies also great video I am glad to have met someone who has actually read the character materials as a lot of stuff regarding skills and states usually are spread through a biased game of Chinese whisper were it turns out that the guy who started it just made random stuff up along the way and stated it as 'translation' from the character material books
When people like artoria because you know... waifu. Arthur can literally defeat all knight of roundtable with artoria in it only by himself. The real king always op. Note: just my opinion. Dont get offended everyone.
@@flamelover1746 Didn't Arthur beat a guy who crubstomped his version of Bedivere and Gawain at the same time? He was fighting equally with him until he brought out Excalibur to nuke the guy into oblivion.
@@flamelover1746 Not sure it was a flash back during his rule the guy he was against was Lucius Tiberius the sword Emperor of Rome. The guy had an army of gaints riding mystical beasts as well as magi and mystics from ever connor 9f the empire. He had the sword Florent the brother sword to Clarent (Mordred sword) it was also blessed by the roman goddess of flowers. He could tap into ley lines for boosts in power, super regeneration, strength like a demonic beast, super speed, master of martial arts, moves like a snake, military genius, Hindu demons fear him. In other wards he was really powerful and a master swordsman.
The Round Table’s power rankings is the hardest thing to gauge because they are a bunch of tales of writers all trying to one-up one another with their own Gary Stu that is the super duper ultra Knight. Amongst the Fate universe itself Artoria and Arthur self-gimp themselves by sealing their super-weapons and we never really know their raw skill level because they are very into self-deprecation (thus will always claim others are stronger). We do know at the end of the civil war Mordred was capable of annihilating most of Arthur’s forces alone but only because of Morgan’s curse. Agravain’s is strong but the guy is mostly into cunning tactics hence why it was very in-character of him to basically cheat his way to kill Lancelot. Lancelot and Gawain are equals mostly and were pitted as foils in many Arthurian tales, with their only true fight in Camlann ending in a tie. Also I do think you are underselling Percival since the man had the inner will to obtain the Lance of Longinus, at the same time Galahad (Arthurian lore’s true Gary Stu) obtained the Grail. I would say he is above Agravain. I am wondering where the other Knights would rank since there are a few yet unknown seats which were the absolutely strongest knights in the Pre-Lancelot stories.
Didnt morderd kill artoria and maybe arthur? Idk about him while artoria was wielding fucking rhongomyniad, the lanca more overpowerd than excalibur and possibly avalon
@@heliosjollywolf9552 He was wielding a sword cursed by Morgan to murder Artoria (or Arthur in Proto’s case). That is why Mordred’s NP carries a conceptual strenght over Artoria and Arthur (even in FGO). However the actual death itself was not caused by Mordred, who was already dead as she was stabbed fatally by Rhongomyniad, but by the curse itself. In fact, in Apocrypha’s novel it is stated clearly that she fell from her wound, and in grief attempted to caress Artoria’s face before death but lost consciousness beforehand. But as she fell her sword hand swung down due to the curse, catching Artoria by surprise and giving her the fatal wound.
@@lenleon3699 my point was that if she could stad arthur/arthoria when they wield rhongomyniad, their strongest weapon, she could easily beat them if they were using excalibur, also if you apply poison to your blade and your enemy dies from the poison you still killed em
@@heliosjollywolf9552 You do realize what I explained right? A frigging corpse magically moved it’s hand to stab her. Basically Morgan killed her, not Mordred.
I didn't know the prototype author was Canon so would u count lancer artouria then? But I feel like if u Started counting each knights different form we would be here all day
@@renown35nuke70 are u talking about him being stronger then lancertoria/godtoria? He's nowhere near her level, that's artoria's strongest version. She was beyond servant level reaching Grand servant power in Camelot (Godtoria)
@@tronovonflidder775 Arthur has Avalon too. It was the catalyst that Manaka used to summon Arthur and the narrative in Prototype does a lot to indicate that it's inside Ayaka at the moment making the whole Sword & Sheathe joke have even more meaning lol.
@@tronovonflidder775 I'm not speculating anything. The narrative likes to play coy by not naming it but the writing is on the wall that it's Avalon. The catalyst used to summon Arthur was a sheathe as confirmed in the Drama CD, and in order to protect Ayaka, said catalyst was embedded inside of her by her father at Arthur's request and it's why she was able to summon him again during Fate/Prototype itself. Second, Arthur's strength is completely beside the point of my statement here???
@@tronovonflidder775 What? Arthur doesn't have a sheathe in FGO. The Restraints of the Round Table (which we see in Arthur's Excalibur in his first and second ascensions until he removes them in his final ascension) are separate issue entirely from Avalon. That aside, I don't know why some people are trying to deny Arthur has Avalon when everything about FSN was based on the things that the original Fate had including the relationship between the MC and King Arthur to which the catalyst used to summon the latter is an important factor of it. Hell, Ayaka gets stabbed outright in the heart by Proto-Cu but once Arthur is summoned she's completely uninjured. Only one NP of King Arthur that's capable of something like that. Really, it's more a matter of how different Proto-Avalon is compared to FSN-Avalon. It could look and work differently just like how Proto-Excalibur visually looks different than Artoria's Excalibur and also has the Restraints completely visible as opposed to hers.
I call bullshit on Bedivere's stats. Thats way too much for a 3 star, but ignoring stars, Bedivere doesnt have the lore to back up those stats. "A strength" alone is an lmao moment.
Something that should be considered is how animated format may not translate properly from what was intended and may just appear some way just for the sake of it. Such as Galahad fighting Artoria Alter and winning. Then there is how context will be given to and after something happens, such as when Mashu beat Lancelot in Camelot for Xuanzang after to say he held back.
Well, yeah we never count the anime FIRST, that goes without saying. Galahad has such little showcase on his own tidbits like that are necessary. Him beating Salter isn't much of a reach anyway.
@@Pridam in either case arturia clapped mordred and it was morgan that dealt the finishing blow on arturia through the curse. in a 1v1 with no gimmicks or curses mordred doesnt stand a chance which is pretty much lore accurate.
@@Pridam yea shes unreasonably overhyped by her appearence in the apocrypha anime which already botched the source material. shes maybe on par with percival and other mid ranking knights but cant stand up to any of the top members. gareth can put up a decent fight against her and shes the second lowest rank among the knights after bedivere.
@@Pridam gareth is a bit of a mixed bag. on one hand she can fight decently well against other knights ranking higher than herself and on the other hand she got her head smashed in with one hit by a raging lancelot (without having her armor or weapon on her but still) and got insta killed by lion king. (befor chaldea got summoned to the camelot singularity) bedivere is supposed to be the weakest of the knights but with just his experience he can go against opponents far stronger than himself. and mordred while being strong has nothing realy going for her. the weaker knights can stand up to her and the stronger ones outclass her even tho shes an artoria clone with similar mana capacity and physical capabilities.
That’s honestly Artoria’s biggest weakness. She fights with honor as if everyone is a samurai or a knight who will respect it but it’s WAY too idealistic. Proto arthur doesn’t have as much hax as her with Avalon but he is wiser when it comes to how he should handle a fight between ending it quickly vs figuring out their weaknesses first
@@TheRedJadex Just because she is pragmatic does not mean she doesn’t fight with honor as in adherence to what is right or to a conventional standard of conduct in terms of fighting. I agree overall though especially since it’s obvious from the fight with fzero lancer that her version of honor in comparison to Arthur’s seems much more stiff which definitely makes it less practical
"She fights with honor as if everyone is a samurai or a knight who will respect it but it’s WAY too idealistic" - She doesn't. Fate/zero was written by different author who decided to portray her chivalrous to the point of being stupid.
I summoned Proto Arthur on my third day playing FGO. He was my first 5-star servant and just having him allowed me to sweep the singularities clean especially when I maxed his level and stats. I was unstoppable which is why he's still in my starting lineup to this day.
Watching this and looking at how Agravain was shown in the camelot movie it's a sea of difference, from scary npc to terrifying mass of destruction and shadow soldiers agravain gained my respect in the movie
This list isn't that accurate. He ranks fate servants by their stars yet forgot that even 1 star servants are op. The stars doesn't say how powerful they are, fate just makes them equal in power
He is superior in sword skill, but that is a nonfactor as per his own words in Garden of Avalon. He states that she is above him. If you take away magical energy and rely on pure sword skill then sure he would win. But it is literally stated that her entire fighting style is based on her magical energy and overpowering her opponents. Even Sasaki Kojiro who is stated to be the most skilled swordsman in existence states that Artoria's strength and power are what make her deadly and that even with superior skill he can only parry her attacks and not clash with her directly and that this is only possible due to high ground.
Glad that Arthur is #1 in this list, no wonder he is called The First, also The First Saber, going as far as fighting a beast (beast VI) even though he might not be a grand servant. He is my favorite servant and I was soo happy when I got him.
15:27 I always assumed that Artoria won because Berserker's master died, depriving him of mana and severely weakening him while Artoria was still fighting at full strength.
Artoria was not at full strenght. Kiritsugu isnt really a good magus like Rin, he is mostly '' average'' like Kirei and also had bad compatibility with Saber which resulted in nerfing her a little in stats... but at least its way better than Shirou or Shinji as a master.
@@Azel90w Honestly they say Saber is weaker under Kiritsugu compared to Rin but I dont really see a difference. Hell in some cases I think Saber under Kiritsugu is better. Saber (Kiritsugu) has a D in luck which is a big rank down but has A in both Endurance and Speed while a B in Strength. Saber (Rin) has A in Strength but B in both Endurance and Speed, but has an A+ in Luck. Overall I think it balances out.
Lancelot will always be my favorite. The existence of his saber ver is his sumbol of redemption, while his zerk version is his way admiting his own sin. Not to mention he only KoTR who choose to oppose Lion Ling in Camelot singularity.
@@joshlariviere152 Isnt galahad refused before pre camelot singularity story? and yeah, I should mention "the only knight who opposed Lion King, not including pre-camelot KoTR."
