This comp makes me yearn for never say die

The kotrt compilations are like drilling a hole through the earth to get a few pieces of gold

disciple compilations have always been 4-5 outstanding cuts floating in a sea of forgettable sludge, feels like the good is getting even better and the bad is getting even worse sharks and marcix are absolute gold, graphyt and baw are solid. some of my favorite tunes on here are in the back half though

KOTRT comps have always done a good job of highlighting the best and worst parts of the current state of dubstep. There's a good handful of really solid tracks on this compilation, but it also still suffers from alot of producers just trying their hardest to have their own "Svdden Death- Behemoth" moment. I just wish producers wouldnt limit themselves to such a very specific kind of dubstep when its one of the most diverse genres of music out there.

It scares me that vol 5 is already two years old

I don't know if I am just losing interest for dubstep or if the compilation is just meh. That Marcix tune is something else though

that graphyt tune is giving off must die! vibes

Phantom really did it for me, such a great vibe

I cant help but feel like some songs are unfinished but the ideas are all really unique

There won't be a better one than vol 4 and it's a fact

This comp is kinda like having Gordon Ramsay prepare you a big mac Like, it's gonna taste good and everything, but you could've gotten smth that's just so much better

a lot of sq4 on this but even then, there’s definitely variety to be found within it! some of my favourite tracks may not be as loved by others as much as i like them, but the highs on this comp for me are certainly worth returning to

Honestly really like the wooden snare in Phantom, there's just something about it that sounds cool

This KOTRT is better than 5 in skill production and flows in general, but is worse in innovation and interesting ideas like Headflush, FLOW135, Field Splitter or Devil Tech that KOTRT 5 has.

you should definitely check out the rest of BAW’s discography as this track was not a great depiction of his genius imo

Hate to say it, but that Graphite track sounds like a Must Die! track. But that also applies to the quality of the track, so big kudos

The NVADRZ flow is most probably from that viral "shick shack shook" audio that is popping out on reels or shorts nowadays. That's what I remember when I hear that.

Hey Nawty Please do a vid on older dubstep producers, Like Bar9, trolley snatcha, Skism, rusko, Nero, Eptic (older eptic tracks), Funtcase (older tracks), etc....😃

It feels like so much of the sq4 riddim on here was just very lackluster. Tbh 6 Feet Under is the only one of those that sounded fully fleshed out to me. There's much more going on than just the main noise or a screamer on top of it. Bunch of background sounds and the growls are more refined. The lyrics add to the vibe and enjoyment too

I will be 100% honest. For the first time I liked every track on a Knights Of The Round Table album! When it comes to Disciple I can be a bit picky, while I love the label not every tracks hits with me, previous KOTRT Albums were not memorable for me even if there were standout tracks! For the first time I liked every track and that is RARE for me! I do understand that some were disappointed with this album after 2 years since the last KOTRT but I think this album is more for me!

I would love to produce music, while he’s next to me giving me ideas lol

Hot take: this one is the best Kotrt

I've been listening to dubstep since 2013 when i heard Zomboy, Modestep and Skrillex. 10 years later i prefer drum and bass now because that seems to have more variety, i'm a bit dissapointed in this compilation, especially waiting 2 years for it, sounded to similar, the snares are non existent or just straight up wank, and felt like 1/2 of then were half arsed. The IZADI tune was the only one i actually enjoyed. I miss NSD i can't lie

i dont know why BAW's mix is flat on this release when reves de reves is mixed amazingly imo

Can we get rid of rising drill sustains please there are so many unique ways to create them that sound non-abrasive on the ear, that Bainbridge track sounded like a construction site with a sub in the background

I feel like the more forgettable tracks are just to get something out there, you know, sometimes you have to make some mid stuff, and thats ok, come back stronger when you have cool ideas

Resurge has been one of my favorites and I was hugely disappointed by the track here. So much potential missed.

This comp was such a letdown. Lot of middle-of-the-road stuff, some unforgivable stuff, and few highlights. Lowlights for me were the NVADRZ, BAINBRIDGE, and BAW tracks. NVADRZ literally just recycled the drop from Schadenfreude and changed the main sounds a small bit, BAINBRIDGE changed the Genesis sustain a bit & released it as a VIP, and BAW’s percussion was awful. EDIT: Forgot about plinko. Literally just a less interesting INFEKT track

Honestly most of this compilation was just meh, KOTRT 5 was infinitely better excluding the fact that graphyt, sharks, and Marcix absolutely carried this compilation 🙏🙏😭

Listen, dubstep is in a great spot right now but holy shit when you get projects like this it can make everything feel really stale. I hate square4 riddim do much.

won't get lost is literally Schadenfreude but with sounds taken out of it and a shitty intro. Such a disappointment man. When i heard in the preview i thought it was like a Schadenfreude vip or something.

Literaly if you show this to someone with a blind fold and tell them its all one person, they could EASILY think that most of it is. Im over peoppe having to walk on egg shells talking about it. Its almost all so uninspired and devoid of any sort of soul. No disrespect to the artists. They are following the template that the lables set forth. And it creates "compilations" where everything sounds like indistinguishable nonsense.

In my opinion a lot of dubstep/riddim etc is being carried heavily by small artists or labels like halcyon. Im just getting tired of hearing the same idea over and over again with no change whatsoever, pkus the amount of sq4 on this is just too much. Nothing special outside of a few tracks. Theres a pretty big forward thinking culture tho so this stuff is definitely helping that lol

I´m listening to Dubstep and all the Subgenres since 2011 and by now it just feels so empty and meh. I still have some producers which blow me away everytime but 98% of the tunes are just so boring and recycled. Guess I´ll stick with Metal

They have a habit of releasing a lot of poor quality garbage simply because it's being made by artists with a lot of followers. So many creative producers don't get support from these kinds of labels. About 5 of the 30 or so tracks are worth listening to. Disciple only cares about money. Maybe if they get rid of Bandlez running it something will improve.
