9:35 I’m glad I’m not the only one feeling this. Chib’s older stuff was goofy and fun with really cool sound design. That vibe feels lost with a lot of the newer stuff he’s put out.

I think this compilation has some gold, but overall it's incredibly underwhelming considering the wait we had since the previous volume. I understand a lot of it has live performance factor too but overall the compilation is pretty.... "okay".

I'd rather have a 10 track comp every year or two with interesting tracks than a fight between DRT and Subsidia to decide which label can fit more filler tracks in their compilations.

As I mentioned in his part one video, this is one of the RARE times I enjoy every track in a Disciple compilation! While I do understand the criticisms with this, especially since many of these artists have done a lot more with the ideas, and it is valid for people wanting more. I for one really like the simplicity of many of the tracks, it just sounds good to me IMO. KOTRT Vol 6 is my favorite album of this series if I am being honest but that is just me, many are disappointed with this and for good reasons but hey more for me! Good review as always from Nawtystep! 😉

What can I say, its kinda of what we expected. A lot of names on this compilation, but not a lot of direction and fresh ideas. While it is true that it is harder to find amazing stand outs in today's EDM, its difficult to find artist that don't follow the main trend of classic stompy dubstep. I think that you could tell this immedately from the 3 part trailer that was realised, how because of how similar and still the ideas were, it felt like one artist making the whole thing instead of different ones. Big ups to Beutnoise and Marcix with some great songs. Sharks and Graphyt with some notable ideas, but beyond that, another one on the list where I will go back to for select songs rather than the whole comp.

Honestly I enjoyed it overall, no hate. Why's nobody talking about how good Gump Town is though? It was the one song I had to repeat because it was so interesting.

Some really really good, but the rest is just... Boring? Plain? 😢

The sooner square4 quarter note riddim loses its place in the mainstream, the better it'll be for dubstep as a whole. I don't think it shouldn't exist, but if it's relegated to a handful of producers who are actually fully passionate and innovative about the style, it'd be best for everyone.

I feel like these labels go to the artists and tell them to make the most generic track possible for this. So many artists that have absolute bangers in their discography with just average tracks. Disciple isn’t the only label to do this, we all remember how Subsidia started.

In conclusion this compilation, is fine, not like vol 5 & 4 type of amazing but it’s like yes and no. My only top tier favorite pick is the graphyt one the sharks one the Beutnoise one & Dyatic & Rettchit one. All tracks well rounded 4 songs imo definitely carries the compilation very well and precise. The other half is yeah straight forward riddim and festival song but give us something different than this. I’m really hope next year I mean the year after next year I wanted to see higher top tier producers like Bossfight, UBUR, Kompany, Muerte, NOROI, Evilwave, Code Pandorum, Ohmie, Nanoo, Au5, Marauda, Nimda, Svdden Death & Even Teminite & MrKoolTrix will deliver a stronger songs on their own to carry the upcoming compilation 7 even further than before

Nawty have you heard AWAKENING COMP? by Ekali, its has some amazing tracks imo, would like to know what you think of it and/or which tracks did you enjoy :) About the compilation tbh im no huge on it, enjoy 5 tracks, maybe 6 but most of them have that feeling of "yeah i know how it goes" so nothing much to say about them. Love your content! :)

Overall, my favourites are Tremble, Can’t Deny, daemones in fenestra, sword logic, Closer and Death Row Good comp but pretty lacklustre Still, the tracks I mentioned are really great and there are no bad tracks in this comp imo

I Don't know why but I really enjoy the first two volumes of knights of tbe round table. They somehow feel fresh to me and have a bigger variety of styles. There's a lot of riddim on them but the riddim in there feels still interesting and new. And after Vol. 2 it feels far more flat imo.

Nawtystep in your videos the music is vary low compared to your speaking voice, could you make the music louder in future videos? Love your vids btw!!!

I'm sorry but this signature round table style that has been done over and over the last 2 or 3 years is so dry and unappealing. I can't get with it whatsoever and I don't get it for the life of me. And so many artists that have otherwise decent to great sounding production and ideas doing the same kind of thing for this label is so odd to me.

Square 4 after square 4

The first half of the comp was really fun, but after Swag Dads there was a severe dip in interesting songs

I was honestly suprised to see the dissapointment of the Pyke track, I know a lot of square 4 riddim can for sure sound the same these days but I definetly feel like the way he does square 4 sounds a lot different and stands out from a lot of other artists trying to do square 4 right now, like he definetly has a distinct style apart from other riddim artists. I did also get to listen to the track in full for maybe like a month or two early before it released on the comp since it was in one of his dubpacks that I bought and it has been one of my favorite Pyke tunes for sure so maybe i'm just a little bit biased 🤷‍♂

Yeah, im afraid that this comp was kinda below the standards considering what KOTRT 5 had set for itself at the time. I think a few songs tickled my fancy such as Beutnoise and Graphyt (both of which are very consistent at what they do) but overall, lots of potential that wasn’t quite used well, especially with tracks like NVADRZ, who I was very expectingly waiting to hear given their last few tracks recently were conceptually unique, fell below expectations in a way that I didn’t like. Given, this was two years after their last one and management of the label was kinda all over at the time so I’ll cut a little slack but I just wished there was a little more variety and uniqueness in the music here. Speaking of the music, I also feel that there just isn’t enough of good ideas or good execution in those ideas that shows anything exciting that it kinda just feels like a turn off of the genre for me and just additionally the ironic fact that dubstep or the edm genre in general is one of the most diverse genres in the music industry. I don’t know, but I’m just shooting the bird with my take because I just feel myself somewhat feeling frustrated in the lack of creativity I hear currently. Considering I’ve been listening to dubstep since 2013 (from a lil wee boy to a college dude), it’s genuinely disheartening when it doesn’t feel like it’s just good to listen to when the ideas are lacking.

I think this comp had some good ones but I kinda have to say a lot of the tracks are just not memorable at all Also please listen to Jorei. Jorei has a bit of a crazy style.

I don't get anything from the vampa drop. Imo it wouldn't even work live because the drop sounds so plain to me. VAMPAs intro aesthetics are cool I guess but there are far more producers that are better - male, non-binary and female.

Completely disappointed, and any hope I hsd left for the mainstream scene is completely dead. Its time to make datsik sounds again. Lets bring back brostep to the idol point.

A lot of riddim haters in this vid.. i dont ynserstand why when listening to riddin you expect variety and bounciness, riddim is supposed to be flowy, repetitive and dark.
