I like how they don't depict the NPC as dumb and blind fighters. They actually show the NPC as skilled warriors that can go toe to toe with the main character.
@@declanjones8888 I think they got rid of it cause it’s generally faster killing minions without the animation. Doesn’t mean I don’t miss it though, going dynasty Warriors mode in the center was fun Edit: I mean it’s either that or they cut it as a easier way to NOT make anymore minion animations for Wu Lin and new heroes
Interestingly enough, the developers have said that they aren't actually very tall - everyone is just short due to malnutrition. Apollyon herself is barely over 6ft tall, so most of the guys we see are probably around that range, while the normal warriors are more 4-5ft tall.
@@lmelville280 I was going to say as much, also humanity has been getting denser and denser bones with each generation, making it more feasible to be taller stably (there are still normal biological limits in place like heat dissipation and muscular strain).

I actually liked the story. Wish they would bring back foot soldier takedowns. They could just tweak it for Breach. Hold the button to do one and it might startle the other soldiers to not attack for a moment. I want them back dang it.
I loved that grim dark style, I thought they were really in for a truly brutal experience, but now is just a shit show of lights and effects is really a shame
I wish they did more with this game because I just don’t see any reason to play it. I expected to have like your own clan base and areas where you fought to expand or defend your domain, or to just have the opportunity to have my character scream crap like for Jerusalem during combat. It feels just really lackluster overall.
It really is a shame. They marketed this game as like... Mount & Blade army vs army with nice graphics, but instead it turned out to be a 3D team-based fighting game. If they'd marketed it like that from the get go, I don't think this game would have struggled to find its audience.
that's also more realistic than what the vikings actually wore in armor than in the game. The vikings were still European, so they matched the technology of the knights until the age of plate armor.
It was supposed to be like that. It could’ve been much better than what it currently is, but the alpha testers of the game didn’t like the original gameplay and thought Ubisoft should go in a different direction, thus giving us For Honor what it is today. After they realized their mistake, the alpha testers felt bad and got so much hate for robbing people of how much better For Honor could’ve been.

It’s always talk about the game because it’s mostly a multiplayer game. But nobody talks about the fucking awesome lore and backstory For Honor has. These cinematics are so damn good too, like SWTOR levels of good.
@@CrakusMaximus the Vikings get the shortest end of the stick as historically they died out way before the Knights and Samurai even though both existed, Knights and Samurai both existed for roughly the same period but Knights eventually declined by the Early Modern Period but For Honor depicts them Knights and Samurai from random points in history. Armor and Weapons wise the Knight has more advantages but a Samurai can Kill a Knight, Vikings too but again they are way too out dated compared to the other heroes.
Back in those days average men were five foot five while there were those who grew six and a half feet tall or larger. Their numbers were less but more intimidating on the battlefield rather than now a days where the average height is five ten to six feet tall.
In non popular game modes, tribute has a bunch of cool maps but no one plays it. It would be cool if they took those maps and made dominion and duel/brawl variants
🙈 Bro, go outside. Sick of people crying about good graphics when the game is garbage. Dynasty warriors 2 has 20x more variation and movesets. Honestly go back to board games this is a waste of electricity, waste of plastic, waste of internet connection... For the love of god when will we get a half decent fighting pvp game
At the beginning of this video until 2:25 that's what we wanted for honor. At the beginning we also had the medieval atmosphere, but over time it became more and more childish and unrealistic. I think it's a shame what this game became, it had one like that good basis, you could have done something cool with it but oh well
