A look at the Knipex-branded sheet metal nibbler that I assume is made by EDMA in France.

Have you seen the offset knipex plier wrenches and 20 degree angle 10in cutters? Awesome tool for the arsenal.

Excellent review ! I don't know if i'll buy this one, but i definitely love the quality of knipex tool in general. Not cheap but will last a long time for sure, and very well designed.

I need a handnibbler than actually chips. I like to make negativ holes in material. Any idea what to get? Preferably in germany

Can that nibble starting from a pilot hole in the middle of the material instead of the edge? If so what size hole is required (approx)?
@GermanToolReviews
@GermanToolReviews 5 лет назад
Yeah it can, I failed to mention it. The manual says 6 to 8 mm hole.

I was cutting 1.25mm sheet metal and the tip broke in less than 3 minutes. I don't say it's a bad tool, actually it is very precise and well built, but not for heavy duty use. Knipex tools usually exceed by far the specification limits, not this one. Fortunately, they sell spare blades apart.

Hello I was wondering if you have heard of the tool Company Garant And if so what do you think of them are they of high-quality
@David-wh8zs
@David-wh8zs 5 лет назад
Garant tools have always been pretty good in my experience. They don't seem to make any of their tools themselves though, all I've seen have been rebrands.

Is there a way you could do more tool bag reviews?
@GermanToolReviews
@GermanToolReviews 5 лет назад
Soft tool bags tend to be disposable I have found, even the good one eventually wear out, so I usually just pick up the cheapest ones I can find and use them until they wear out. Even the veto pro pacs only have a 5 year warrenty. I have my eyes on a couple made in Poland that i might eventually review that are rebranded by both Gedore and Knipex.

Veto pro packs are way too pricey in my opinion milwaukee makes almost the same thing for 70 bucks

People will laugh at my upcoming review of a nibbler...(actually it will be posted before) but I ended up using pliers for a nasty corner of sheet metal that I could not get to with the angle grinder. I tried a bunch of things...all failed, except a chisel, and the Vampliers. So...there's that.

these are cheaper than the original, how can it be a rebrand?

I think the first ones made like that were from Werindus. I have one laying around somewhere.

What happen to that fein screwdriver resto?
@GermanToolReviews
@GermanToolReviews 5 лет назад
It ended up being beyond economical repair, I think there is a short in the windings somewhere. Probably just belongs in a display case somewhere.

I own also this plier. The pinching of my hand is indeed annoying. In Europe it costs 44 dollar including VAT. I use it regulary to adjust shelves to fit in office cupboards of different brands. It works fine for me.

You would NOT use a brake (press brake), you would use a shear.

This would have been really helpful if the commentary was spoken in such a way as if you were speaking to an audience instead of it sounding like you were quickly reading instructions from a script - done at such a speed that was too fast to digest the important information. It is clear that you do care enough and are happy to impart your good knowledge on such products - and that is appreciated but please, for the unititated, slow it down a tad!
