When I saw the back of your colourwork section I gasped and said ‘oh girl nooooo!!!’ I would recommend looking up stranded colourwork or intarsia. It takes some getting used to but it eliminates about 99% of the strands you’re going to have to weave in lol!

When knitting long purl sections I use the Portugese purl. There are videos on how to work it. I find it as easy as when I knit Continental stitch. When working rib I use cat continental knit and the Norwegian purl. I use what works for me. Check out the Portugese purl and give it a try. Your sweater is lovely.

loving this type of video !! i have a recommendation for color-changing,, why don’t you try stranded colorwork? you won’t have to weave in as many ends and it imo makes it look cleaner on the inside !

Drops Alaska would be a nice choice for something like this I think! It's super cheap, aran weight ish and 100% wool, so if you're not into superwash wool then it would work great. This is so cool though, I remember originally trying to crochet based on your videos and doing terribly and immediately switching to learning to knit, and now I've been knitting for a pretty long time!

For your continental purl issues, I would recommend trying the Norwegian purl. It is a continental method of purling, but the yarn stays behind like a knit stich, so that may make it easier

Very cool video 😃. I've never knit or crocheted sweaters-except to stitch tog pieces that I bought already made from a second-hand shop. I am in the process of knitting myself a sweater of the garter stitch (all but the waistband). I learned to crochet while I was in junior high[US], by watching my older sister. Then years L8R and years ago, a lady who volunteered at the hospital I worked at then; offered to teach me to knit. She taught me how to continental knit as well. Love that way🤩😍. I don't find rib stitch/patterns (moss stitch etc)tough using the continental method.

if your problem with the purling is keeping the yarn in front you could try a purling technique called the Norwegian Purl, its a little finicky at first but once you get it, you get it

When I purl I dont move my index finger down like yours to bring the yarn around the needle. I keep my index in place/up and use my thumb (and middle finger) to bring the yarn around the needle. My index finger staying place is what keeps my tension. It might be easier for you.

I have the same issue with purling using continental! I end up using my middle finger to push the yarn down. Hope this helps!

For continental purl, pull your right hand forward rather than back to release the parent stitch. Then you don't have to put the left hand/working yarn behind your right.

I dont like the color at all bc im an spring. U r a summer, those colors look horrible on me, i wear blues, turquoise clear colors, not washed out colors. I hate brown and yellow green, it makes me look im ill, so i wear bright solid colors,but those colors look great on you!!!!🌷

Look up twisted stitches because some of your stitches look twisted.

You went into depth about English v. Continental and each part of the sweater....but you never showed how you worked the motif on the front (the unique feature of the sweater!). I have no idea what you did there to get all that fringe in the background! You must have a ball's worth of yarn right there!! This is an intarsia situation -- color blocking. Using bobbins and twisting the colors at each changeover point would have eliminated most of that madness and given you a smoother, neater, finished project. The rest of the sweater proves you have what it takes to be a knitter.
