this is the BEST and easiest tutorial i've found to date regarding mittens/hand gloves. super easy to understand. i'm not a beginner at knitting, but i'm not a pro either, so i'll add that thumb-hole technique to my collection of knowledge now :D thank you so much!!

This has been the easiest tutorial for a rib stitch so far, as well as for fingerless gloves. I tried several other tutorials but none of them did it quite as well as you.

This was my first non-scarf project I've done, and also the first time I've purled. Just asking about how we find how many stitches we need to cast on for the glove to fit? Is there a way to do this by measuring the circumference of our hand? Also amazing tutorial, really easy to follow and helped teach me a few more knitting techniques.

Every time i use this cast on method i end up with a string of yarn between my needles as i knit it gets bigger idk if its a tension issue or what

Omg yes I’ve dealt with that before usually with chunkier yarns. I haven’t figured out why quite yet. It never happens when I use long tail. It was a bit harder to learn but I plan to use it for this instead so it’s stretchy in the end.

You definitely could! I would recommend though leaving the Knit and purl pattern at the beginning and end portion - it tends to create a tighter fabric for edges
