The absolute BEST thing about KFO yarn is their range of colors, and they're not gaudy colors either like some yarn companies. I also really love that they keep the same yarns and don't rotate them out every year.

Hi Andrea and Madeleine - I am a first-time accidental visitor on your channel. I love knitting in general and toys predominantly. I loved your show, and I was happily surprised when you started showing toys knitted based on Allen Dart's designs. I discovered this designer about 7 years ago and fell in love with his work. Since then I made at least 10 different toys using his designs. Mainly, I gift these toys, and everybody loves them. Recently, my husband rebelled and begged me to leave these beautiful creatures for us. This is why I have a few of them living with us now. Thank you very much for showing his work. It made my day brighter to know that there are a lot of people who admire his work too. Ella

I absolutely loved this interview with Knitting For Olive, thank you so much! I was actually knitting my second Baby Bear Balacava and had some KFO merino delivered while watching. I love their ethos, colors, yarns and designs, many of which I've knitted. I am so drawn to the nuanced colors that can be created by mixing merino and kidsilk yarns together. Joy! Pure joy! Pernille and Caroline remind me of Andrea and Madeleine! Did everyone get the same feeling watching this episode? Two talented mothers and equally talented daughters. I enjoyed the knowledge and superior skill of Pernille, she is the type of knitter so many of us wish we had as our mother, to learn not just to follow a pattern, but to know our knitting. She kind of made me think of Elizabeth Zimmermann. Plus, I must have some of their yarn! Hearing such commitment to creating a superior product is grand. Wow, these infant and baby clothes are amazing! So well thought out and beautifully designed. Though I would imagine that some mom's would really prefer superwash yarns. You are making me feel rather "broody", though I'm in my 60s and neither of my adult children have any inclination to _have_ kids.

Their wool is just gorgeous, so special, and the range of colours just wonderful - in this they are filling the void left by Rowan who many years ago had a similar wide range of variations in their colours. Now.... which yarn and which pattern to choose ..
Another top notch episode! I haven't tried Knitting for Olive yarns yet - although I did find a LYS recently and actually got to see a few colors and feel the Merino and Silk Mohair. The yarns are lovely. I love knitting baby knits and they have gorgeous baby knit patterns. I have plenty of cousins with kids to knit for. Wow so inspiring! I couldn’t stop watching - even though my knitting skills are advanced beginner at best. I’ll probably never be able to knit those gorgeous intricate designs but I learned so much about the different fibers and yarn combining and now I’m inspired to choose some luscious yarns to knit a basic dress or sweater for my granddaughter. I want to thank you for talking about how to count gauge for a lace pattern. I have always struggled with this and seeing how you can just use common sense and measure in different areas is not only ok but encouraged. So thank you!
I'm knitting a little dress design by Pernille as I'm watching this podcast. The last dress you held up at the end of part 1 is the Vanilla Dress and I'm actually knitting my 2nd Vanilla Dress I'd like to knit all of those cute designs for children but I knit too slow and the kids are growing too fast.
Another wonderful episode, I enjoy it when you refer back to previous episodes. I remember you making Count Dracula! All the work you put into him Andrea! I hope you brought him out for Halloween..I will definitely look up the Knitting for Olive website, I have a granddaughter and I could picture her in many of those sweet dresses.
