The Fruity Knitting Podcast is a video knitting podcast that brings you knitting inspiration from around the world.
Each episode features an interview with a professional designer or yarn producer. It's a long format interview, so you really get to meet the people behind the knitting patterns and yarns that you love.
Our Knitters of the World segment features a dedicated amateur knitter from somewhere around the globe.
In New Releases, a designer takes you through one of their latest designs - construction, techniques, color and yarn choices. It's a quick but personal introduction to a new design.
And we take you through our own knitting projects, with a little chat and the occasional adventure.
We hope that our knitting podcast keeps the life and creativity in your knitting, and we would love to have your company.
Re: grafting, Roxanne Richardson has made the point several times that doing a graft adds two rows to the piece. I’m afraid I don’t really see what she means, despite asking her about it in the comment section, but possibly there’s a nugget of truth in there somewhere to explain why you struggled with that graft so much
It’s so crazy that you two were talking about meditation and several times mentioned ego! It’s a word that’s come up for me and I’m working through how it’s impacted my decisions and my life! I’m going to take this as a sign that I’m doing the right thing for me at the right time! 🥰❤️
You and Madeleine are just fabulous! Really loved your interview with Trine from CaMaRose - so interesting to hear about the company and their yarns! I am brand new to knitting - I learned the knit and purl stitches in the English style many decades ago as a ten year old but never progressed. Just started knitting last October and taught myself the Continental style of knitting as it is more ergonomic. Will be visiting Copenhagen for the first time in a couple of weeks and very excited to look at all the lovely yarns there - especially CaMaRose! Thank you for your brilliant videos! :)
Another fabulous episode Andrea and Madeleine! Loved the interview with Joji. I’ve been a fan of her for years, but have never seen her interviewed in such an in-depth way. Her knowledge of garment construction is amazing. Makes me want to get going on a swatch!! Thank you for continuing to bring us great content at the highest level! ❤ from 🇨🇦
What a lovely episode! I was watching another podcast talking about sequence knitting and of course the YT algorythm came through and recommended this. The first sweater you showed us with the dolman sleeves and the unusual construction really piqued my interest and it was so lovely to see your banter with Andrew as you support each other's projects and learning. The love in his eyes when he looks at you is so palpable ❤🩹

Been there, done that. I made an Aran jumper for my sister's grown son, and, five days before Christmas, found out that it was too small. It fit my sister! Then I had to run out and find a pattern and yarn for a simpler jumper and get it done in time for gift-giving. I managed it, but it meant an awful lot of frantic knitting.
Another excellent episode, not only entertaining of course, but once again you provide so much useful information, from the virtual travel to Innsbruck to the in depth interview with the charming Joji Locatelli. This episode as well as the previous one with the physiotherapist have been truly informative and useful to me. Even if I'm not able at this time to support you financially, I do hope my comments and 'likes' are of some help to you lovely ladies. Wishing you much continued success.
New to this channel . Just watched the few last ones before this and I am so so sorry for your loss . My sincere condolences to you , your beautiful daughter and your families .
I have found that when bragging this way, if you knit the stitch (on the RS), the bead wanders to the back of the work. It works better to purl the stitch with the bead. Happy knitting! @fruityknitting
Thank you for this wonderful upload. I am german and my family and I have been to Tirol in my youth many times. It brings back so many memories. We used to lodge in a small town called Niederndorf, not far away from Kufstein. Kufstein is a real treasure and it is called the "pearl" of Tirol. (Die Perle Tirols). There is an medieval castle on top of the mountain in the middle of the city and every day at noon time the "Hero Organ" plays. (Die Heldenorgel). 🙂 So awesome. When I was younger, we also stayed at a place called Schoppernau. 🙂 We used to mountaineer in the Kaisergebirge (emperors mountains), visited the "Elmauer Tor" etc. Elmau is famous for the film location of "Der Bergdoktor" (The Mountain Doctor). 🙂 My grandpa, who looked just like the famous mountaineer Lois Trenker, and my dad were avid rock climbers back in the day. I love those folk evenings and all of the traditional musik, clothing and all of it. Andrea, you must wear your Dirndl anyway. Be a pionier for it and make the germans wear theirs again too, not just at the Oktoberfest, lol, back on Sundays, parties, festivals, etc. Love, love, love. My son recently requested, that I knit him one of those traditional german vests (Trachtenweste), the sleeveless version, with metall buttons (Trachtenknöpfe). I am almost finished. So much fun. Huggs from the Schurwald in Baden-Württemberg. 🙂
Fantastic vlog of Innsbruck, Austria. The views were breathtaking. Joji is such a sweet personality. Those 2 measurements that she recommended we take to make jumpers and other tops that will fit better were gamechangers for me. Thank you, ladies. Enjoy your well-deserved holidays. See you next month. ❤❤
Thank you for an excellent episode! Well, all your episodes are excellent, but what could be better than an interview with the wonderful Joji by the wonderful Andrea? You are both so accomplished and kind, it was delightful to watch the interview, which was incredibly informative. And a shout out to lovely Madeleine, too, for all the excellent work! Thank you ❤❤❤
Hi Andrea and Madeline ! Loved the interview with Regina but may I suggest putting the subtitles from Madeline either up or down the video because it masks the translation of Regina at times in the video … thanks !
I ALWAYS enjoy your interviews but this one definitely figures in my top 10! There was so much captivating and informative content, expertly navigated by a skill full set of questions and carefully filmed to capture the lovely interaction… something I shall watch again and again, for sure! Thank you! 🌻
I took a long sabbatical from videos and podcasts. It shocks me how many episodes I need to catch up on and the shorts look like fun too. I have missed you and Madeline. Those bonnets are perfect on her. In Regency times she would be an ”incomparable” taking the town by storm. Thank you for the lovely tour of Bath ❤️
Joji is full of so much valuable information! And you are such a great interviewer, asking all the right questions. Thank you both. The view of Madeleine knitting up in the mountains in Innsbruck is incredible! Also, the shows you saw in Innsbruck were so entertaining.
