This too shall pass my lady! You got this. I didn’t have false labour but I was 100% up all night for months with pregnancy insomnia so I can kinda relate. I say it’s a sick joke that at the end pregnancy keeps you up all night when you need to sleep to prepare for baby lol. I hope you realize how strong you are!

What sweet creations your making as you wait for your baby! I'm sure your getting every suggestion under the sun, but I thought I be remiss to not share a win I had when I was in a similar situation. December 16th, I was had been waiting for my baby with contractions for almost 2 weeks and I was 40.5 weeks along. 3 seperate people sent me the same video about a doctor who uses Latin dancing as a way to help his patients transition into active labor because all the hip movement helps the baby descend. So, after the 3rd time, I thought, "What the hey. I might as well dance. It will be good for both of us even if it doesn't put me into labor." I looked up some of The Fitness Marshall, because his routines have a lot of hip movements. After 4 aongs, I was calling my midwife and my husband to come home because it was happening and I had her that afternoon. (She's turning 5 in a few days!) I hope you get to hold your baby soon, but also feel free to tell everyone who checking in everyday to chill out. It's not like you would have him and not tell them. :) Okay, ending unsolicited advice. I so enjoy your podcast! Thanks for sharing!

girl, I had 2 weeks of constant Braxton hicks/prodromal labor in September. It was awful and I was so tired when I finally got to labor. All I can say is don't feel guilty getting all the rest you possibly can because you are going to want the energy for labor. Also, eat lots of sugar/carbs in early labor before you get to the point where you don't want to eat so you get energy from that! I know exactly how you feel, I'm praying for you!

Girl I hear ya! I was going through the same exact thing for 2.5 weeks until I was induced at 39 weeks. I had my daughter in October she’s our first! Those last few weeks suuuuuucccckkk lol. But it’s so worth it! Just keep your head up we’re all here for you :)

I also had to issue an eviction notice for my son to come. 😂 you can do it. Hopefully after you upload this video the baby decides to come.

I feel you, we had a false alarm last Thursday as well so now I am trying to wait patiently (failing at that) and getting as comfortable as possible . I am watching lots of knitting podcasts to distract myself. I hope both our babies decide to finally arrive soon

I’m an RN. Those are Braxton Hicks contractions. It prepares the uterus, and Cecil for the real thing. Don’t feel bad. I had twins. High risk I was in REAL labor for 5 months, in and out of ICU. I made it to 34.5 weeks. Then the labor freaking stopped! But someone said go out to dinner and eat a big Mexican meal. Dang if that didn’t work! Probably coincidence but my water broke on one baby that night at 11pm. I gave birth to both at 4am. C-section. I have the Montrealer in my favorites and have been wanting to knit it. I think I may do it in Fisherman’s wool birch tweed.

Giiiiirl, I had not one but two false alarms with my FOURTH Baby! Do not feel bad for it, even in my fourth rodeo I wasn't sure what was happening to me. My predominal labor was SO intense with my fourth that I really felt like I was having her for weeks before she was actually born. But on the upside: It was by far my quickest active labor of all of my children! I had her in just under two hours of active labor. Every one of those predominal contractions, while they don't lead directly to a Baby, they do prepare your body for birth. I'll keep you in my prayers, for sure!

Aww bless you and hang in there. I went to 42 weeks before I was induced. It will all work out. You need to make him an aviator hat by Tara Marie. It is so so cute.

Oh man I can totally relate! I just had my second (she’s six weeks old) and had prodromal labor the week before I went into labor at 41+5. I felt like I was gonna be pregnant like an elephant (they gestate for like 2 years lol). It’s super normal though - your body and your baby knows exactly what to do! I read somewhere that the baby releases some type of chemical from their brain to initiate true labor. Still it’s so so hard to wait but all the waiting will be so worth it! You got this! Rest, you will need the energy for giving birth! Don’t look at your phone, i know you know all that, but seriously sleep! And smooth sailings for the baby! The right time will come, and he will be born, when you are both ready! If it hasn’t happened already. All the best, relax, and sleep!

Does your husband have a sweatshirt he loves? You could always take measurements off of those sleeves and use that to guide your decreases

Women get a big energy spurt the day before labor. Even though woman know about it, they fail to recognize it when it happens.

Some women tell relatives a false due date, several weeks late, so that people won’t call them every day when they go past their due date. Enjoy your time. There will be days after he arrives when you realize how easy it was when he was in the womb and you wish you could put him back in for a few hours
