Tip for fluffy yarn, sometimes using a lighter weight, non-fluffy yarn, held together with the fluffy yarn, helps you see your stitches and to sew pieces together. It makes things a lot easier and a bit more secure. I just saw Well- Loved Knits made the same dog pattern recently, and it’s super interesting to see the pattern come up again. I might have to make it!
