great podcast. I too love The Knitting Loft., It opened after I moved out of the city (Toronto) but try to visit it when I do go back. Needless to say I make quite a bit of my yarn purchases online with them. Their website is really great as well. The Woodlot has been doing so much beautiful work. They are located in the area where I live, just in the country. Those earrings are beautiful. I was at their studio a year or so ago and it is also so organised and inspiring. They use the wood from their property to make the buttons and other items. I hope you do knit the Lunenberg Sweater - the pattern is really, really good and the yarn so beautiful. One of the loveliest yarns in Canada and the Rustic is such a great price. Love your cats!

Thank you Megha for taking me along to the brief festival that cost me nothing and did not increase my stash! 🤣😂🧶I have ordered yarn from the knitting loft. They used to have a podcast mother and daughter. It would be a destination for me. I am knitting a Felix cardigan out of the worsted linen quill I bought several years ago in golden green colorway. I wanted a quick knit and this pattern has been in my library for years I was going to knit it in Mountain Mohair from Green mountain Spinnery. Used the yarn for another project. You need to try this yarn if you haven’t. Go visit this place in Vermont sometime. My yarn order of knitting for olive cotton merino in a caramel shade might arrive today. I want an Outline Tee for over dresses. I am in Minnesota south on Minneapolis. Our knitting group is going to a vacation rental in the very North of MN on Lake Superior 6 hr drive for me. I will also stop to pick up someone in StPaul. A few of us ordered yarn from John Arbon textiles to make Wonderwall by Melanie Berg. If it arrives in time this will be a cast on. I also have JOJI pattern for Simple Summer sweater I have a fade in Madelinetosh yarn that I want to use. Another Cast on for the trip. Only 7 day…I have a hat and slippers planned as well. Crazy stuff. There is a very lovely little yarn shop in Grand Marais called the Dappled Fern, and an amazing fish restaurant called Angry Trout. These will be highlights. Very possible we go to a beautiful lodge called naniboujou. They have a lovely restaurant as well.

I enjoy seeing your yarn purchases because you combine colors differently than I do, and I love your combos - especially that Lunenberg sweater yarn choice. I'm also looking forward to seeing how that variegated farm yarm looks in a blanket/shlanket - fabulous fall colors! Whenever I feel like I have been overbuying at a show (or like this weekend, when I visited the Wooldreamers mill on Saturday, and then won a mYak yarn giveaway on Sunday!), I tell myself that I am investing in my retirement knitting projects! I was looking forward to your knit city episode! The red is gorgeous. The fact that you guys forgot to buy tickets to Knit City Toronto cracks me up. It's so fun to see you guys talk about Knit City from different directions - like Selma giving you all the credit for finding the Airbnb. You guys seem like good friends, and I thought that when I met you all (I was the girl in the teal ombre dress). I'm still embarrassed that I blanked on your names when I first saw you both. Also, yes IQ is wonderful - I'm kind of glad I didn't go into the office and go there for lunch (it's my regular watering hole). It's kind of embarrassing to fan girl in front of your coworkers! Now for the yarn - Excellent 😊

Always enjoy your podcast Megha! I am hoping I can attend knit city one day. I live in Australia and our big event is in July. Bought my tickets in advance to avoid any mishaps 😅. It’s called the Australian sheep and wool show in Bendigo. Worth seeing, may be someday you can come and attend

OmG the lunenburgh sweater...scream...so beautiful...and your kit. I think it is the toughest thing for this sweater to decide on the color combination, i would love to find a curated kit!

He Megha: new viewer here. I'll be interested to follow your work on a set in sleeve in knitting. Top down is easy to make but I get frustrated with the fit -- my top downs usually have quite a large neck opening to accommodate my bust size. Fit in knits is an ongoing process I think. Just like garment sewing. :)
