Here in this video, you are going to learn the right way to grow and care for Petunias in pot. With very little care, Petunias would reward you with lots of colorful blooms. Here I have covered about single petal Petunia but if you are going to grow the Double Petals Petunias, you can grow and care the same way.

Hi, I've put down some petunia multiflora seeds for the summer. What i would like to know is, if I can plant the seedlings in hanging basket or shoukd I plant in normal container pots. Also im not sure of the root system of the multiflora variety. So what should the ideal depth of the pot be ?

so informative.The more information you can share the BETTER! 🥰 Can you believe I kept cutting off all my new blooms for 3 weeks!! hahaha. i was thinking that they were growing in already spent/dead because I had divided them and re potted into separate pots! Is petunia annual plant?and also my zinnia plant is drying, hope u remember I asked you regarding this previously....I recently bought n re potted..it's drying slowly. Shall i fertilise the plant?

@Hema Palanivel, Yah, Petunia is Annual, not perennial. Remember about your Zinnia plant. As per my experience, they actually don't like it much if we disturb their roots. Since you have repotted recently, it's not going to need fertilizer at least for next 15 days. The plant is already in stress and so it's drying. Plz allow it settle down first and till then, continue caring for it. You might want to use Fungicide once as they are very prone to fungal disease infection. Zinnia is best to grow either from seeds or seedling stage. In most cases they don't do that well if we repot at their maturity level. Good luck :-)

Great help. Thanks. One thing I would like ro know. After applying saaf all leaves become white spotted for next 15-20 days due to the fungicide which looks ugly. What do you do to remove these white residual fungicides on plant leaves?

Anyway, you can spray just normal water to clean the leaves if you like. But again, fungicide won't be that active in that case.

@koushik krishna, Thank you So So much for your amazing feedback and I truly appreciate it :-) The diameter and height is almost same, 6 inch and there is only difference of 1/2 inch. Perhaps, you can visit few nurseries..anyway, plz note that not all verities do great in Summer. For Summer, Multiflora Petunia would be perfect, thank you :-)

@S Bahadur, first of all, I am extremely sorry for the late reply, was busy on growing lots of plants and so was away. They are doing this because they are getting less amount of sunlight. Anyway, the stems of Petunia's are not same like Roses. So, naturally, it doesn't stay like the Roses :-) It's not going to die, just don't overwater your plants. Also, plz keep doing pruning and deadheading on a continuous basis. Thank you and plz let me know if you have any questions.
