The Driver Monitor is designed to provide Guests with additional peace of mind while driving by constantly checking their condition to ensure they remain capable of performing normal driving functions.
Available on vehicles equipped with Lexus Safety System+ 3.0, the Driver Monitor uses an infra-red sensor located on the steering wheel to detect the position of the driver’s eyes. It can determine which direction they are facing and can recognize if they have lost concentration due to fatigue or sudden illness.
