SQUAT VARIATIONS🔥

✅FRONT SQUATS: Whilst all compounds work on your core strength the front squat is amazing for not only your legs (more quad focused) but also don’t be surprised if you feel your core burning up too! (Anterior Chain)
✅BACK SQUATS: a compound movement that uses multiple muscles and joints to perform. I would say back squats are also more “everybody” friendly as it’s not as technical as a front squat.
✅SUMO & TEMPO SQUAT: The 1,2,3,0 Tempo (counting from 1-3 as you go down then exploding up) is amazing for workout intensity. This will also mean your load won’t be as heavy as let’s say a back squat as its more of a Time under Tension execution. I decided to use a sumo stance here but you could also do standard or narrow.
All variants work multiple joint and muscles and its truly a matter of each one “targeting” an area slightly more than the other!

Love when you explain each exercise Krissy, you are always so informative! The other day I shared to my mum your video about the difference between Core and Abs, and how can you train them both. And the huge importance of the Core. Because she's always like: I want to be thin, I want to slim my abdomen and waist, reduce fat. But she refuses to train in compound moves, like squats, because she doesn't want to get "bigger legs" or even a big booty. She used to train them, and since a very young age she's had an active life, always doing aerobics, swimming, even home workouts, but once she saw her legs grow stronger she was like nahhhh. And I'm always telling her to focus on strength, over-all health, performance, her core; rather than a superficial goal. She's already pretty ❤ I introduced your channel and IG to her 2 years ago, and you've been a great help for her to change her mindset about fitness lifestyle, health, etc. Of course, for me aswell, so thanks alot Krissy!!! Keep going!💙 😊

The back squat is both more technical and engages more core as you need a good core and technique in order to not injure your back, on the front squat the weight is almost always at the centre of balance reducing the tension on the core muscles

Maria, where in your back is your pain located? If it is more of an “Ache” not a “stinging” pain it’s actually best to strengthen them muscles to solve the problem. For example, lower back pain, do some “Supermans” and work upto “Hyperextensions”
