Knuckles: A Sonic Series - Angry Review 

I just don't understand why they make these shows with CGI "main characters" and then sideline them for obvious reasons, CGI costs money. If they aren't prepared to make the main character the focus of the story, then the show is pointless, because people want to watch for the character on the title. This happens way too often.

My daughter was watching this and every time I came to the living room I asked if she was still watching the show cause knuckles was nowhere to be found

What is with this trend where a show is called "Knuckles" or "Obi-Wan" and SO many more and the show is literally not about them and you rarely ever see them. Its like playing God of War Ragnarok and you can't even play as Kratos. I remember playing Phantom Pain and they did it so well that they hinted you were not Solid Snake but you were led to believe you were so you could spread his legend even more.

Knuckles was a pretty good side character, they should give him his own series one day like Imagine having a show called knuckles and have 90% of the show focus on a random comedic relief character. Yeah I’m sure that’s exactly what people were wanting from this show

What the audience wanted: *An action-packed adventure starring everyone's favorite echidna* What Paramount delivered: *A crappy 90s sitcom with Sonic characters making a cameo every once in a while*

*I HATED Wade's family lol 😂.* The sister was nearly unbearable to me. The mother was ok, and Cary Elwes was awesome as always. Oh, and Knuckles was there...

Fuck this show, they really made Knuckles a side character in his own show.

My 8 year old boy is a huuuuuuge Sonic fan. We have been counting the days for this show to come out. There were some cool parts but during episode 3 he looks at me and says, “can we fast forward this? His sister is weird.” Lol

I don't understand this. People wanted to see Knuckles, right? So...why make the series centered around someone else who is not only NOT Knuckles, but the DIRECT opposite of him? It boggles the mind.

That whole "Flames of Disaster" and "Knuckles totally fought and beat Iblis" is such a deviation from the canon, i have no idea what the writing team is doing.

As someone who is a massive Sonic fan and a fan of the movies as well, I absolutely hated this show. This show is just cringe all around and a complete waste of time. How the critics rated this HIGHER than Sonic 1 and 2 is beyond me.

My 3 year old loves the first 2 sonic movies and was super excited for this series. Halfway into episode 2 he got up and started playing in the other room 😂 I asked if he wanted me to pause so he could watch later and he goes “no I don’t like it” so even a 3 year old can tell this was dogshit

So fun fact. Sonic fans have been divided since 2005. They have not agreed on a single issue regarding Sonic between that year and now. And if you think this miniseries is an exception, it is currently at a higher rating than both the first and second Sonic movies. Sonic fans are divided on this too.

They hired the likes of Kid Cudi, Rory McCann and Christopher Lloyd for this series… *AND WASTED ALL OF THEM!*

Show should've been called "Wade and Knuckles". Would've set the stage better and made people less annoyed.

I'll help break this down: 1. For me (A sonic fan all my life since 93): I don't like it. 2. As an adult hardcore sonic fan: you won't like it. 3. As a child hardcore sonic fan: you might like it. 4. As a family show: you'll probably like it.

1:20:59 They are making a reference to Shadow as a way to hype up the 3rd movie, in a really strange and shoehorned way. In Sonic 2's Post Credits Scene, they mention Project Shadow, a research project that G.U.N. was conducting, and if it's like the games, it's their answer to the Ultimate Weapon and Eternal Life, hence Shadow's name as The Ultimate Life Form. While it'll probably work differently to the games, they do get a few things the same way, such as how Shadow is a Research Project that G.U.N. was somewhat in charge of, and the time of events. In Sonic 2 they mention that the project was from 50 Years ago, just like how The Ark, the Research Station Shadow was created on was abandoned, and how long Shadow was in stasis on Prison Island in Sonic Adventure 2 before being awoken by Eggman. The reason the announcers specifically say 1974 is because that is 50 years before 2024, and that's why they say he wasn't Red. As to why the hell they're talking about Shadow going Bowling or in any sort of sports? No fucking clue, it's really stupid no matter how you look at it. This show didn't have the proper wrap up to Knuckles' story as is, no way they'd do a cool tie in scene for the 3rd movie.

I personally thought it was enjoyable but I still agree with all the people that have problems with the show because it does have quite a few issues and questionable decisions. I think a funny detail is that the 4th episode has the least amount of knuckles screen time yet it seems to be the most focused on knuckles in terms of people talking/singing about him

I fucking LOVED this. I personally think Wade & Knuckles is a better dynamic and more relatable than Tom & Sonic. I think this is on par with the second movie and a fantastic prequel to Sonic 3

I loved the jewish dinner episode. It makes for a great contrast and relatability scene showing how Knuckles is so culturally different just how being a Jew is very culturally different so it becomes relatable

I loved it. It was a 6 eps, an easy breeze to get through. The humor was my right up my alley and I liked it better than both Sonic films

Our whole family watched this and Godzilla X Kong. We all checked out of Knuckles and were all entertained by Godzilla X Kong. Both were stupid, but we had so much fun with the other one. It can be stupid and still fun for the whole family. Knuckles (the show, not the character) was just stupid.

Finally! Someone's talking about the fact that they chose Pretty Woman as the movie Knuckles and Wade's mom would watch together. 😁 There is something she said about people being judgmental, so I thought it was supposed to be a remark that's connected to later events in the series, but nothing like that ever comes up again, which makes me think it was only a comment about that specific situation in the movie, which would make it just.... weird. (I don't think there's anything wrong with that type of work done voluntarily, and as strange as it is to have to think about it, I don't think any of the good Sonic characters would judge a "street walker", I just don't think this issue fits with the audience the previous Sonic movies were unfortunately marketed for, and the themes of the series or the franchise in general.) Dispite this, I really liked the show, this episode and even this scene. I just like to see Knuckles listening and understanding people's perspectives. I was a bit concerned about how they would handle the Shabbat dinner, but luckily, Knuckles acted the way I expected him to. He respects tradition in general. So he respects other people's traditions. And the fight at the end was fantastic!

The distance monologue joke came from Shazam! Dr Shivala or whatever was talking to Billy from a distance and Billy hadnt learned super hearing at the time.

2:55 The plot sounds like a sitcom from the 80’s or 90’s. Just good ridiculous goofy fun. The original Night Court… now that’s a funny sitcom! That manages to incorporate officers lawyers judges and a courthouse…and all the funnier for it.

This show has to be one of, if NOT, the ABSOLUTE WORST Sonic show of all time, along with Sonic Prime and Sonic Underground.

I will give them this.. I was not expecting an Alan Wake 2 music video parody in my Knuckles tv show. I was equally surprised, confused and disappointed but at least they managed to surprise me.

This show was even worse for Sonic fans. Knuckles' spirit guide, Pachacamac, is a genocidal monster who single-handedly caused the extinction of the echidna race (and had his daughter trampled to death for questioning him). And THIS is what they made of that. Also, he was pivotal to the arguably the most popular Sonic story ever so they just THREW that whole thing away for this... non-joke. It's hilarious Paramount thinks they can launch a Cinematic Universe with this. And very sad.

What makes little sense to me (as someone who kind of enjoyed this show) is the Flames of Disaster, Knuckles' new power...IS the demon Iblis, the same guy in the rock opera bit, IIRC. He's punching the demon with himself in another form! Edit: I don't know why they didn't just go with Chaos, the actual reason the echidnas were wiped out, again IIRC.

They use the name in the title to get you to watch it. But the reality is they simply won't invest the money needed for good writing and paying a good voice actor. They just need you to start watching or sit your kids in front of the tv

Paramount gave me a free month trial again. Pretty desperate to bring you back. So I watched and it sucked. The sister was so unbearably obnoxious I started to hate her character very quickly. Bully FBI sis, fine but she stabs him with a fork at dinner and it was just stupid cartoony. Liked Knuckles, WHEN HE WAS AROUND, Wade is dumb but inoffensive. The bounty hunter was weirdly fun because he full sends his own hype and you almost want to believe it.

The main problem with these live action movies and shows, it cost an inane amount of money to make a show/film purely focused on 100% CGI characters and that's why in the last two movies there were human dedicated scenes like in Sonic 2 to save costs and pan out run time. I'm worried about Sonic 3 cause if we have Sonic, Tails, Knuckles and then Shadow. That's already 4 CGI characters maybe more so I'm expecting a longer human dedicated scene again to pan out runtime and give false expectations that the movie is gonna be epic while it may not deliver.

This show was straight up cornball. Even for kids. The writing wasn't there for me but I've been saying that the movies were also horribly written. Don't know if I can go to the movies to for the third one. They gave this a certified rotten tomato and i'm like WHY????

Episodes 1 and 2 were honestly pretty good. The comedy was hitting imo. Episodes 3 to 6 felt like... a bad SNL skit. Like... the villains didn't even get much, if any development. Is the Game of Thrones guy even given a name in show? I think only in the credits and the interviews. Seriously, do better, Paramount.

In the show The Righteous Gemstones & Vice principals, the actress that plays the sister is funny as fuck cuz it works with those shows. The problem is , she's a one note actress cuz she acts exactly the same as in those shows in Knuckles where it doesn't work! She's literally the same character in every show she's in, which makes no sense in this kids show!
