Lala-Chan was the only one keeping me to still going to the Crossroads, not because I consider her a waifu material, lol, but because she was funny and actually cared about Joker.
Yeah, I was kinda surprised how kind and responsible she was about Ren, she won’t let him drink but he’s always welcome and won’t let Ohya be a bad influence, and considering the part of the city their in where shadier stuff tends to happen, she is probably one of the nicest characters funnily enough 😂
"If tomorrow I decide to date Yoshizawa, nobody bats an eye. But when I decide to date Futaba (who's a few months older than Yoshizawa btw), *well then everyone loses their minds!!!"*
The problem is not that she is younger than Ren (Joker), the problem with Futaba is that she is like a little sister to Joker (they are not related). Her confidant missions are like teaching your isolated brother/sister how to interact outside their bedrooms (I can relate), they don't handle romance at all. Yoshizawa was written to be Ren's canon girlfriend (Although he would have preferred her to be FeMC)
@@segiraldoviI see this argument constantly and it really frustrates me to see how people either see a waifu or a sister with no clue about how her confidant is actually intended to be interpreted. At the end of the day it’s up to the player to interpret, it’s great that you see it that way but others see it as helping a girl who only trusts you (Ren/the player) and her surrogate father enough to be around, and your attempts to help her come out of that shell. Only for her to confess that she still prefers hanging out with the player over others. It’s not inherently leaning one way or the other. She isn’t intended to be your sister, but she also isn’t written as a blatant love interest like Makoto or Ann. I appreciate that about her confidant but hearing this argument is frustrating because it’s so bloody subjective an opinion.
People know that Kasumi is actually even younger than Futaba, right? The latter just didn't attend high school earlier due to being a shut-in isolating herself at home.
@@thatguysho227 That's also something people are getting wrong pretty often. She isn't Joker's little sister (not even half-sister). They aren't even related in any way. She is the adoptive daughter of Sojiro, the dude who took you in after a customer of his recommended Joker's parents to send him to Sojiro for his probation. And even though Sojiro does initially isn't totally thrilled of Ren dating his daughter, he doesn't mind it either (he even supports it later on). Now, *all that doesn't mean an individual player isn't allowed to see her as a sister character despite no family ties* . But nobody should judge anyone for dating her in the game. Especially since it's actually more appropriate for Ren to date her than any of the adults (like your homeroom teacher). You know, since Ren himself is a minor and only a year older than Futaba.
@@thatguysho227 I'm happy to see someone else gets it. I also feel weird about Haru because even it feels like Joker is just a rebound after a shit relationship her father forced her in. And Ann feels like too much of the group eyecandy to do anything with.
@@thatguysho227 To reassure you, I did read the "basically" in your response. Hence why I said "people" (since it's a common misconception) and not "you". I apologize if it somehow implied an insult. But I still stand by the opinion that nobody shouldn't be judged for the whole dating debate. If you or others think it's weird, hey, that's no problem. If you think it's normal/okay, that's also valid. As long as both sides aren't going to be a d**k about it, everyone should be fine. About Sojiro: I'm not a hundred percent sure if we can call Joker his surrogate son. He cares deeply about him later on, "seeing himself in him" as he answers Yusuke question about why he took him in, that's for sure, so one could interpret it that way. But he never actually states it directly. At Rank 10 he does asks you not to date Futaba, due to being called "Dad" by Joker being weird but in the very next sentence he basically admits that this maybe wouldn't be that bad. I personally interpret it as, if they were to marry later in life, but don't take my word alone for it. Also, it being disrepectful really depends on how one does view it. I mean, both parties of the relationship in question agreed on their own volition to this, and I'm sure Sojiro himself isn't the person to dictate who his daughter dates, as long as they aren't a bad influence and/or dangerous. And to elaborate on the adult thing: I just wanted to hammer down again on the age debate. I mean, in comparison, it would be more normal for Joker (a minor) to date Futaba (also a minor with an age difference of one year) than *any* of the adults. Personally, I couldn't care less about who others dated in their playthroughs.
BASED, Haru getting more than one approve, puts a smile on my face..... but feels bad for Hifumi and Makoto getting one feels bad, we won but at what cost

Has nothing to do with age. If we use that argument then the jail loli twins are possibly thousands of years old, and that's stupid. It's about how they are depicted. And futaba is depicted as a younger sister who's on the spectrum.
@@kyoko-kokoro Dude… the lolis inside Joker’s head being thousands of years old isn’t comparable to a REAL HUMAN who’s actually 15… Of course the twins don’t age normally. And for the record, just because Futaba acts more childish doesn’t mean she’s any less mentally mature than Sumire. It’s Persona, so all characters show some level of maturity at some point.
@@oliverjurd 1- younger? how does she looks younger? anime and JRPGs has made you guys expectations of teenagers be weird as fuck, futaba looks like a regular 15/16 years old girl. its actually kinda disturbing you can't see how she looks 15/16 lmao 2- bro futaba ain't joker's sister, joker doesnt sees her as his sister, she doesnt sees joker as his brother, thats just persona fans schizoadding their headcanons into the actual canon
@@kyoko-kokoro bro stop thinking your headcanons are the actual canon ffs she isn't on "the spectrum" and she isn't "a younger sister" YOU CAN DATE HER FFS
Not only because she's young, but because she acts young. As, a lot younger than 15. Granted, she has valid reasons to do so, but still. Sumire does act her age, and she also has traumas to heal from. Joker is 16, and there is nothing wrong with dating one year down. And because Sojiro trusts you to care for her, while explicitly stating he cares for both Joker and Futaba as his kids. So, while not legally or by blood, there is that little sis-like bond with her and it is indeed weird to date her.
@@branlopgar And Futaba doesn't have trauma to heal from? At the end of the day, it doesn't matter. They're not real people and it's a game, not real life. It doesn't matter how old they look, or what their "age" is because it's just a made-up number for a made-up character, and many anime styled characters look young anyway.

This has been mentioned many times already, but do you do realize that Kasumi is younger than Futaba? Either way, it's a video game and the protagonist is a kid just like her, so why should anyone care? There's nothing inappropriate here in being able to date her.
People in the comments getting butt hurt over Futaba's I don't know on this list. He didn't even say illegal or no. In my personal opinion I wouldn't date Futaba, but that is literally just me. I hate these wars when we all have our opinions. If you like Futaba and want to date her in the game, that's fine. It's a GAME, an option you can choose. Same goes with Kawakami who again personally not for me but still. Makoto and Sumire are best girls to me and that is my outlook on this. I know this comment won't matter and will probably get some more people annoyed I was just sharing my opinion. Thank you for the video. 🙂
Yeah, and if I recall somewhere in the story there was an interaction where Kasumi calls Futaba her senpai. It's been so long since I played, I could be remembering wrong. By the way, It's Kasumi.
I was getting ready to throw hands over makoto's underrating, as well as ohya and lala's slander. But you cinched it with igor. So I'll just let you know that ohya is possibly one of the biggest badasses among the non-pt ladies. She is literally doing what the game says adults shoukd be doing. Also chihaya is a sweetheart y u mean to her :(
