This harbour falls within a closed area and it reads like this:" No person shall , except under the Authority of a permit, engage in fishing or collecting any aquatic plant between the fence at Lourensrivier and the eastern breakwater of Gordonsbay harbour. As long as they abide by the law relating to permits, baglimits and sizes, they are more than welcome to fish there.
you are not allowed to fish in the harbour its not the boats fault that they were fishing that imaggine if you were the skipper of that boat having to dodge line everytime you get into the harbour how would you feel? and the fact that if that like gets into your prop it could do up to 20k worth of damage
Ok lets put it into perspective...The guy on the harbour was fishing to feed his family as he could not get employment... The dude in the R300 000 boat with large 4X4 and Trailer (R700 000) which means he can afford a home worth R3 to R4million does not live in a township and can AFFORD to wait 45 seconds... its the kind thing to do.
