What moves me is the absolute safety Gianna felt with Kobe. Look at the way she looks up at him, the protection in his eyes when he embraces her. That kid was happy, man. She loved her father so much, and she was so loved by him.

When I heard the news, I felt like my childhood and my past has departed from my memory. Kobe is my childhood and he was the one of the factor to make me love basketball, enjoy yelling out his name when I make the shots, first time buying Kobe jersey, collecting Kobe basketball cards, buying Kobe signature shoes, and first time making friends over talking about Kobe’s performance. I truly believe, if either had left without the other, the pain of living would have been just way, way, way too much. Their bond was SO evident; just the most beautiful father/daughter relationship I think we've ever seen before. Gigi simply adored her father and he was so proud of her picking up the mantle and he poured his love and skills into helping her to achieve her goals for a game they both loved. I know Kobe fiercely loved and adored his entire family - that is very obvious as well and he was a truly inspiring human being on and off the court, a life truly well lived. I sincerely pray God's grace upon their entire family to come through this unimaginable, devastating time and that He will comfort them as only He can. I myself am a dad of a beautiful daughter and putting basketball aside I could only imagine the pain he felt looking in his daughters eyes as that helicopter began to spin out. Yes he will he missed for what he did on the court but he will be even more missed by his family. We got 20 years as fans and they only got 3 as family. Tragic.

I am one of my dad's six daughters. My father never had sons but he raised us all to be strong capable women with good work ethics and a strong sense of family.
