As a Lakers fan I'm happy for all those dudes that are doing well with their new teams. It's tough to develop in LA. Though that kind of makes what Kobe did even more impressive. RIP King.

I remember watching this game live. I think around early 4th quarter something inside me realized this was going to be the last time I was going to watch Kobe Bryant play. I started choking up a little bit then he started that scoring run. One of the goals in my life was to meet him someday.

Man this guy helped raise me without even knowing. Growing up with a single mom who knew nothing about sports, I would watch Kobe on TV then go out in the driveway and try to copy what I had just witnessed. He taught me how to play, how to work and how to have that Mamba Mentality all from afar. I miss him.

the final possession was even more beautiful. kobe made the freethrows (similar to his first points in the nba, a freethrow) and then he made an assist to jordan clarkson who at the time was the most stylistically similar to kobe in that young core.

It’s been over 2 years since Kobe’s passing and it’s still hard for me to watch videos with or about him. He was/is the sole reason I started loving basketball. Mind you I was born in 2000 in Ohio and didn’t start watching basketball until 2008 all because of Kobe. For some reason I was drawn to Kobe over Lebron (if you aren’t from Ohio you might not understand how big of a deal that it) I guess I could just see the passion every time he played and I was glued to watching him. Ever since then I’ve been a lakers fans and Kobe has always been my favorite player. I remember exactly where I was when I saw that tmz article 5 minutes after it was posted on Twitter… of course I didn’t believe it at first it was tmz… but when it was confirmed all I could think about was how the night before he was watching Lebron pass him in scoring in a laker jersey with Gigi right next to him. My day was ruined my idol. The reason I love this sport. Just gone. It felt as if I lost a part of me. I have always been passionate about things I do/want to do with my life and I attribute that to watching Kobe play and listening to him talk about the game. I wanted to be like him in any aspect of life. Eventually I realized that he wouldn’t mope around, he would get up and keep pushing for his goals and dreams and that’s what I had to do. It took me awhile because man I know I never knew the guy but part of me left with him and I don’t know if I’ll ever get that part back. I love this sport and it’s because of Kobe. I wanted to be like him. I still want to be like him. And for that I thank you Kobe. Rest In Peace to the greatest Laker of all time

I was on a business trip this night. I knew it was going to be Kobe just jacking up shots all game and that's exactly what happened. He's pouring in points, it's getting later in the game. I'm like, "I'm gonna grab a quick shower, not too much can happen in 5 minutes." I come back out and Kobe has put up like 12 more points, it was wild. He could barely move around was a shell of himself. It reminded me of watching MJ at 40 with the Wizards on his bad days, except Kobe put up 60 points. Just wild.
