It's been a really bad year for all the racists. First Jokic wins his 3rd MVP in four years, and now Luka has sent the "guy who should have won MVP" and the "Face of the League/Jordan 2.0" packing in back-to-back series. If the Mavs win the championship, it will be a LONG offseason for the haters.
Why do they have to be racists though? I think Jokic’s choke job in the playoffs kinda proves their point a bit.. no one ever said he wasn’t a great player.. but 3x MVPs are held to a higher standard than 1x or 2x MVPs and they generally don’t blow 20pt 2nd half leads in game 7s at home.. especially not after getting blown out by 50 after being up 3-2.. that has zero to do with his color.. and let’s be real, people overrated Ant to make Jokic’s loss not sting as much and let him off the hook.. no one said Jordan 2.0 before he blew out Denver in game 2.. no one said best defense in 30 years until Denver could only muster 80pts.. and then 70pts.. And really, Luka was the one who got robbed for MVP.. SGA probably deserved #2.. color doesn’t have anything to do with it.. And as far as face of the league, people saying that about Ant or Tatum or whoever else, let’s be real, face of the league is more than just being the best player.. it’s being one of the best players AND assuming the responsibility of ambassador of the sport.. you gotta like the cameras.. gotta want to shake hands and kiss babies.. gotta embrace the media, embrace the culture of the league, do sit-down interviews, all of the photo shoots, charity events, meet with league offices, players unions, etc.. it’s more of an unofficial figurehead role.. and Ant seems like someone who would embrace that.. he’s already been in movies and stuff lol.. Jokic has probably already left the country.. Luka curses out fans on live TV lol (which I like, but the NBA probably isn’t fond of lol).. Maybe there are some who only see the color aspects.. and they’re gonna have to live with it - for years to come lol.. but not all criticism or opinions are based on that stuff.. don’t fall into making the same mistake as them..
As someone who also live in Minneapolis I know you aren’t a true fan. I mean all the hate coming at Ant and you are going to get behind the cry baby Luka? Bro the Wolves don’t need fans like you. Be loyal. I think the Mavs will win but why would you want Luka to win? Dude manipulated the refs the entire series. No way you are a real fan….probably a Dallas fan posing as a wolves fan
@@bsmccrunner4bruvv I'd rather see the mavs win the title than the celtics. Nothing is more embarrassing than the fact that the team that beat you will just get folded the next round.
@bsmccrunner4 😂 bruh you can make a whole movie all the times Ant yelled and cried to the refs, only difference is Luka delivered compared to crybaby edwards 😂😂😂
Big Perv being the biggest clown. I don't watch anymore because of the bs. Probably making millions and couldn't pass the GED. Was nothing more than an average player on a good team. Yes these folks helped me cut the chord.
we all know what they are, left politics racits, who pretend to be be open minded, but are only open minded for things they promote ( much like most left leaning politics in US tend to be).
Skap and this buy are the best ones but youtube suppresses their channels and don't put them in the algorithm because it goes against the mainstream agenda of black players superior at everything and whites are racist, privileged, supremacists etc. Also international players are soft etc..
The Ant hype train was one of the most ridiculous media overreactions I think I’ve seen in my entire life, and that’s saying something. People were saying he’s the best guard in the NBA, not just potentially in the future but right now. Crazy talk. Are we sure he’s even a top 10 player?
They are trying too hard to say an American is the best in the world haha Jokić and Luka, two Yugoslavians, two Serbs (Luka's dad is a Serb) own basketball for now and they will be the best in the next couple of years.
lol bro this comment right here is ABSOLUTELY ridiculous. Are you certain you’re not just trying to prove the “media” wrong or maybe your ego so strongly just wants to go against anything you deem “overhyped”. I truly believe it’s NOT an overreaction. Now yes, the MEDIA constantly DRAGS shit, BUT YOU SHOULD KNOW THAT ALREADY! Your tryna some badly diminish A.E by EVEN making claim he isn’t top 10 ?! Please name 10 better right now
He won't even make top 5 MVP candidates next season. He's just another Jimmy Butler who showed great playoffs performance and got eliminated at the end. Same old story for this guy named Ant
They’re pushing Ant so hard also because Wemby is another dreaded Euro player and he’s on his way too. Jokic, Luka, and Wemby are about to own the league. I love it.
Euro players still have fundamentals and after 30 years (Dream Team in ‘92) and loosening of international player regulations, they made themselves a permanence since ‘04 when AAU LeBumBalco lost the US a gold medal. Euros went from end of the bench to solid role players, to starters, to now Superstars.
He's been locked in on defense. That's what has him taking the next step. Man can hoop and is a wizard with the ball, but when he is bringing it on defense, it motivates his teammates to give their all. When your superstar is playing hard all game on both sides of the ball, it makes the role players lay everything out. You see PJ Washington, Lively, Gafferd, Derek Jones, all the Mavs playing with fire. It takes a team and Luka is owning his role as the leader.
Luka is representing his country, that's special drive USA players don't have. As a Lithuanian i know how meaningfull it is to do well in NBA, whole country supports you.
I am a huge Luka fan and think he's absolutely the best current player and should be the face of the league, but let's check in on this comment during August when Olympic Basketball is in full swing. I'm sure Bron, Steph, KD, AD, Bam, Booker, Tatum, and the rest of the Team USA roster were shocked to discover they don't have the "special drive" that others have. Maybe Slovenia will win the gold with this great special drive you speak of. Will bump this comment thread in 3 months!
I'm an American and a massive Luka fan. What you said is exactly right. White Americans players are afraid of being shamed by the media for national pride, they'd be called racists for it somehow. Most black American players grew up being told how "oppressive" America is, so they don't have much national pride, either. It would be beautiful if they did, but personal pride and talent still gets us over the top in most cases.
@@OpinwoodYou missed the point completely 😂 foreign players often actually take pride in their country and therefore feel like every time they perform they’re representing not just themselves but a whole nation, meanwhile lots of the athletes here in the states claim to hate this place etc
@@Opinwood Ah yes a country of 2mil people, where Basketball isnt even the #1 sport, hasn't produced enough talent to beat the 333mil population US, this proves that Luka plays without any national pride in mind. You people truly are genuises.
Hey I'm American and I'm glad that international players are doing the batman slap meme to American bl ack entitled spoiled Brats athletes.. someone had to humbled them for thinking they are better not just by race but better then the game itself, huge fan of the joker and Luka the don and all the new international players wanting it more.
Luka is showing that he is a competitive killer like Kobe and Jordan. Many VERY talented basketball players in the league are missing that gene. Edwards is an athletic freak but to compare him to Jordan is laughable. The kid needs to grow up, show some maturity and humbleness. Jordan always shook the other teams hands after being eliminated from a playoff series. Edwards looked like an entitled brat just walking off like that. The optics were terrible.
That first quarter from Luka in game 5 might be the best performance from a player in a single quarter I’ve ever seen, they woke up the beast and he was focused to finish the series in that moment
@@jaywoodside0731Yet Rivers was a “professional” but couldn’t be more wrong about Luka. Saying all of this while on national TV, not in a comment section of a YT video….
@@jaywoodside0731We all know Austin's take was biased just because he last played with the Timberwolves. Nothing he uttered is correct anyway. What a 🤡. Just like Stephen Racist Smith. 😂
10 years AT LEAST for Luka! If not 15. He is 25. And 5 years at least, half a decade at least for Joker. He is like 29. Joker is a center that doesn't relly on his athleticism. He could EASILY be a POWER in the league even in his 40s, like Kareem, etc. Which would mean 10 or more years for Joker in the NBA.
Ant is having the Devin Booker/Jayson Tatum effect…whereas the league is so desperate to crown a “face” of the league that they hot shot it and don’t let them try to prove they can be the face. It’s got a lotta ppl salty that Luka and Jokic (last year) been going off on the league lol
@@woodymullons7587Its about US vs EU players where the discrepancy happens and not being white or black. Its cause they dont wanna crown a EU player as the face of the league
Man I love Luka and I’m a big fan. But you gotta take into account defense. Luka isn’t bad on defense at all, he’s actually been pretty good on that end in the postseason so far, but when you have a guy like MJ who was a monster that won a scoring title, MVP and DPOY in the same season with 35ppg and 3spg/1.6bpg…it’s a tough ask.
@@AveChristusRex789 Lukas about to get his first ring at 25. MJ couldn’t do that 🤷♂️ maybe I’m wrong but I don’t see the Celtics beating the mavericks in a series. Plus look at the team MJ won with and look at the Mavericks. The bulls were a far more stacked team when it comes to talent. Lukas a better leader than Jordan.
I’m just happy mavs made it, I’m not even a mavs fan but luka deserve it. No way people thought he was just another harden. No disrespect to harden but Luka drops 30 not for stats but because he’s like that.
What everybody seems to forget is that this dude was an MVP and highly decorated champion as a teenager in Europe, in the second best basketball league in the world, dominating grown men. It is not fair to Antman to be compared to such a generational talent. He just doesn't have the pedigree.
Says something that the highest level of European players are taking over. 1) The best of other countries can compete 2) They learn basketball at a fundamental level, here in the U.S. is all about showmanship and flopping.
I mean curry and Klay can have all the accomplishments in the world no one is taking them over Luka and Kyrie. Fit is just as good and Kyrie wipes Klay from a talent perspective
People see how good he is, but the possibility of him being better than their goats scares the hell out of them. That's why they don't give him credit...
Stephen A and Kendrick Perkins are crying themselves to sleep every night Jokic won MVP and Luka got the finals. Dominating their darling Anthony Edwards.
This is why I hate the NBA media. They don't talk about the players that deserve to be talked about, they only push their little narratives to promote certain players over others. We all know the reason they hype Edwards and not Luka, this is just wrong.
Doncic is a modern day Larry Bird, no speed, no Athleticism, can't jump, but has one big heart, a huge talent and one big desire to overcome obstacles to win at all costs. Hope he comes out triumphant in this finals series.
He has change of pace. We’ve literally seen him go from slow to quick in spurts for example when he did that spin move on Kyle Anderson at halfcourt and pulled up from 3. He can go from slow to slower or slow to quick in spurts
They still insist that Luka is slow, apparently they didn't watch his videos in the Euroleague, in the NBA he controls the game and his speed, he plays with intelligence. The media tried every way to burn the guy, but they couldn't. Everyone is seeing his talent.
Jokic is the better talent by a smidge, but Luka has the heart of a lion like MJ and Kobe in him. The way Jokic played in that last series against the T wolves and the way Luka has played against them has actually made me root for Luka a little more now ngl.
When a player is as good as Luka is offensively, there is nothing any defense can do to stop him from scoring. Unless you block the shot, there is a good chance the ball is going in. Meaning, just because Luka tore up the Timberwolves defense, doesn't mean their defense isn't as good as we thought it was.
In this decade there have been two European Superstars winning a championship: Giannis and Djokic. Maybe Doncic is next, What does that tell you? There's a power shift from the US to Europe when it comes to performing superbly and winning titles. P.D: And who knows? Wembayana can join this club, another potential Superstar.
And it's funny because the proponent of the NBA is ''the best in terms of talents ever" are not so good to aknowledge this shift, you can hear a Reddick talking about plumbers or Arenas claiming they should be banned or that they can't guard, but when you think of the big names of the league you see more foreigners players than ever dominating. Also, they are contradicting themselves when they say that the changes of rules allows those guys to thrive in the league because they wouldn't be able to play in previous eras but aren't those guys plumbers and sewage workers, which one is it? 😂
Physicality of europeans has combined with basket fundamentals...theres not much gap in terms of physicality beween europeans and americans anymore, but there is huge in fundamentals...
@@minimalischminimalisxh9668And the skillset and talent pool has finally caught up. If we assume integration was in the 1960s, Europeans didn’t think about basketball until 1992, 30+ years later. It’s already been 30+ years after that and 20+ years after Argentina’s ‘04 upset. European players are just more skilled now.
Luka and Jokic remember the importance of fundamentals and of teamwork.Kobe as a young man, he lived in Italy where his father played and learned the fundamentals, teamwork (and obviously Italian) which helped him when he returned to the USA.
@@SteP23179he made first team all defence as a rookie and finished 2nd in dpoy on restricted minutes spurs clearly tanking to keep there picks to buiod around him
Luka is the best player in the NBA, led the league in scoring, 2nd in assist, 15th in rebounding, the numbers speak for themselves! 5 times all NBA, face of the league!
@@OD-DP Hakeem had a 10 times better block to win game 6 and force game 7 in the NBA finals on the last play. LeBron made the block with 1:51 on the clock. That is the best you have?
@@DK-bl4hp the block wasn’t what made them win that game it was kyries clutch 3… and lebron in the last 3 minutes of that game was like 0-5 with 2 turnovers until he deferred to kyrie. That block was the most overrated play ever
ESPN/FS1 analysts were having orgasms when Anthony Edwards had a 20-25 point game, but when Luka dropped 30-35, they focused on Rudy and KAT for their lack of help. It’s obvious, they hate the Europeans. Same with Joker.
"Face of the NBA" is not someone that can be proclaimed as such by the media. It's the guy that people around the world tune in to watch at whatever hour.
I agree and I didn't make that for few, few years (10/15 perrhaps) , but for Joker and Luka I'm back to see games at 4h00 am in France, like I did for MJ too.
Luka might look like he’s not the most athletically gifted player, but he is! He’s 6’7 and is the main point guard, he’s the one that makes this offense extremely explosive! His basketball IQ is off the charts…He see’s the court so well. When the defense collapses on him, he ALWAYS finds the open guy! I think the Mavericks have 50+ alley oops, the next closest team has like 5…Game 5 Luka set the tone early, scoring 20 points in the first 10 minutes of the game, out scoring Minnesota himself! Luka & Kyrie are the best backcourt in NBA history, period! And I agree, if Luka was black, he’d get way more respect from the biased/racist media!
Ant Man is good, like really good. BUT, you don't walk off after losing without shaking hands, you gotta lose properly. The argument i hear is "same as MJ when he was young in the NBA" without considering that MJ was NOT the face of the NBA in the 80s, he was becoming quickly the best player, but he wasn't the face yet.
I will keep saying it until someone can prove it wrong. I swear Luka tanked game 4 just so he could go back to Minn and break their heart on their court.
Forget that they have been the underdog in every series, you can guarantee that if the MAVS don't go all the way and win the championship, all the hate will come crawling right back.
Rule n1 for being the face of the league ....be actually the best player in the league and all these young players like ant, shai and tatum just don't compare to Luka, hes on a diffrent path and stratosphere.
Lol. Shai was individually far better than Luka in the series. More points and with significantly better percentages. The Mavs as a team are simply better than OKC. Facts.

Luka at 22 with another perennial all star,dpoty,6th moty,2nd team all defence player, runner up coach of the year with the no. 1 defence would have been interesting.
Everyone knows if Luka was a born American, the NBA would hail him as the next coming of Jesus. But because he's European, they will find everyone else to put above him. They did the same with Jokic until he won his Chip too.
This is best video presentation about Luka facts I saw. And I saw alot of them. On You tube or tv`s. Destroying with statistical mind. Thanx for this and greetings from Slovenia.
The man that swept the suns and beat the defending champs. You luka fans are so weird and insecure that you have to trash Anthony Edwards to bring Luka up.
Ant's gonna be a have of the NBA, but not THE face, especially with that fake tough attitude after the WCF loss, not shaking hands, being shitty in the post game conference's first like 2 minutes. I get it, you're disappointed but you're still a pro, act like one.
First of all, you do realize he shook hands with Luka right it’s on Twitter. Also he doesn’t need to shake everyone’s hands. That would just be stupid. Does he need to shake their dicks too you’re so sensitive over shaking hands.
First of all, you do realize he shook hands with Luka it’s on Twitter also he doesn’t need to shake everyone’s hands. The media & fans love to hate Luka but honestly it’s just because they’re jealous he’s not on their team. Luka is the biggest killer in the NBA right now.
It's just the media making noise tbh, and I like that they celebrate more than one or two players. We're so spoilt with this generation of ballers and having so many elite players in the league. The NBA and media around it needs to be more team centric again and knock it off with constantly talking about individuals. I'm a Slovenian basketball fan and Luka is our pride and joy, but the team around him is so important this year. I hope they can take it all the way and win, go Mavs!
