Yeah I needed to be #1 on the lakers championship team over Shaq. That’s not a driven mentality. It’s ego and it’s dumb. Michael, Magic, Bird, and lebron would be smart enough to use a prime Shaq. Then he says shaqs lazy. Ok so what’s that say about Kobe that he has to tell everyone he was in the gym training and practicing 15 hours a day but couldn’t sniff an mvp or #1 player acknowledgement over the fat lazy guy. Could it be maybe he wasn’t a fat lazy guy. Dude had to run and jump up and down the court with 1-5 players hanging on him while carrying a 330 pound 7 foot frame. I don’t care how much Kobe’s game reminds people of Michael, I’m a 35 year lakers fan and I would never rank Kobe over Shaq on my all time greats list
@@bobbyjohnson9409 then you're not a real lakers fan. Shaq only got fmvp because he guarded rik smiths a old dikembe mutombo and a 6'8 center name Kenyan Martin
You're not wrong lol. Kobe was willing to be labeled the villain just to win. His mentality in the Olympics with the redeem team showed that perfectly when he literally told LeBron and company he was gonna run straight through gasol and proved it on the first possession. He had to set the tone and wasn't afraid to be the bad guy to do so
I love Kobe but he did anything to win. I remember growing up watching him vs McGrady all the time and I’m from LA but I still loved T-Mac’s game so when I saw Kobe come down with his elbow straight to t-Mac’s lower back … that’s when I knew he would do anything to win . I mean the elbow to Mike bibis nose in the playoffs also, the list goes on . Love him or hate him I’m just glad he repped the lakers baby !
“Like I said”…. noooobody gives a fuck what you said or even knows who you are. Pat yourself on back for having a popular take though. Hope it gives the desired effect
Lol if you think its just those two you have no clue. Read a little bit about Dirk Nowitzki, he is like them aswell. Giannis and LeBron probably aswell as some others. Just bc people (media) talk about them that much doesnt mean they are the only ones. And Jordan probably didnt even train as much as Kobe (and had a way unhealthier lifestyle)
A big ego can make you evil or great. Trying to prove something by putting a ball in the hoop is a skill that everyone can admire. Wait that sounds stupid this guy put a ball in the hoop for a living and here I am making burgers wtf.
No it’s not out of this world. It’s stupid. While people said oh he’s so intelligent and speaks 6 different languages and yadda yadda. The dude had a prime Shaq on his team and became so jealous of being number 2, that they broke up. And then after they broke up, he admits he was trying to win more than Shaq. Instead of winning with Shaq for the first half of his career. Then he talks bullshit and people listen when he says Shaq was lazy. Dude had 1-5 players jumping on him every play and he had to run up and down the court, running and jumping, being agile with a 7 foot 330 pound frame. Kobe still sounds like a moron up until he died but people don’t realize it cause he reminds people of Michael. Yay. How dumb it is to call Shaq lazy. So ok Kobe you’re a gym rat working out 15 hours a day but couldn’t sniff a finals MVP when lazy fat slob Shaq was winning championships with you????? And I’m a lakers fan of 35 years so I ain’t biased. You never saw Magic fighting over leadership with Kareem. Ya never saw Michael fighting over leadership with Scottie. It’s exactly why Kobe isn’t on those legends level
Jesus I'm reading all these comments and I actually think Kobe fans are gay for him😂 the dude died then all of a sudden people say he's top 5 when everyone before he died barley had him top 10 some top 15...like who's next Larry Bird dies people gonna bump him up to goat conversation😂
Not even sorry to say this, but LeBron doesn't deserve to be in the goat debate. Of course the dude has the scoring record because he spent years trying to carry whole teams to a title and he's played a lot longer than most legends were even able to because the man flops to the ground and gets fouls all the time.
Kobe is a god of destruction even when he telling the story you can see and feel the intensity of the MAMBA such a competitive spirit he have pure respect. ❤
Yeah but people only look at the stats and think they know it all. Like are you watching the games? Kobe in my top 5 easy!!!! Those last 2 rings were against some of the best teams ever.
@@renecerdas9395 I seen Kobe play on tv since I was a kid I’m 32 now when I was 10 years old I was saying this man is the best in the league I couldn’t believe the guy was making shots like that under all that pressure idc what you say about Kobe ain’t nobody make tougher shots than Kobe not Mj not kyrie
To say Kobe only won because of shaq is hating this man Kobe was different and rather than one needing the other they both proved they didn’t need each other to win ring.
@@J-fz7nw Bro why the hate😂 he's so right he's literally goku giving cell a senzu bean or sparing Vegeta/Frieza or Telling Buu that he literally wants him to come back to life at some point so they can fight again😂
Humility comes first, greatness only comes after understanding weaknesses and making them you're strengths. Thank Kobe and Shaq. Greatness Only Mentality
Wish he were still around and involved with the league somehow. Maybe guest spots on tnt inside the nba at least. His passion and knowledge of the game were amazing and it’s a huge loss for everyone. Even just seeing him pointing out specific plays and stuff to his daughter at games as a spectator was awesome
And that's why they're literally 1 and 2 in the goat debate. Unlike leflop, a true goat contender will always say someone else is better cause it motivates them to keep pushing themselves.
Kobe knew he had to want it 5000x more than the next great one to seperate himself FROM the greats. His mentality and work ethic got him beyond what his talent could do.
I love you and Shaq and Kobe Bryant competitive energy Shaquille O'Neal you are one of the greatest that ever lived big man I ever do this can you do on Kobe Bryant is a monster.❤😂🦾🔥😂💯 Imma call you big monster 🦾🦾🦾🦾
Kobe is one of my idols and its that fierce determination abd drive that made me a kobe fan for life. I sold my entire deck of Yu-Gi-Oh cards as a teen and i was very good champion level and took most of the money and bought a kobe jersey then rebuilt a new deck because like kobe i would always keep striving to ve better then i was the day before.
SHAQ thought Kobe was going to lie but he was dumbfounded when Kobe said I needed that drive but if it was the other way around Shaq would’ve lied no doubt !💯🙌
I literally had to stop... I had every hair pn my forearms stand up. Kobe Bryant is literally a 1 of 1. His demeanor, what he expects of not only others but of himself, is beyond extraordinary. The only people, IMO, you can compare to Kobe, are Jordan, Bird, and Brady. But, man, Kobe, you are TRULY missed ❤
Casually saying "I hit my thousand shots" is crazy. Especially because of all the other stuff he did. Ran, lifted weights and then a thousand shots lol. Goat status earned. RIP.
He didn't say he did 1,000 shots. He said he did HIS 1,000 shots meaning this is happens every time he trains.... He's a goat because he's taken more shots than anyone.
I wish they would've got on the same page and learned how to keep their differences between the two of them aint no telling how many rings they would've won. But shout out to my Pistons for putting the belt to they azz LONG LIVE KOBE
It hurts me that I wasn't a true Kobe fan I had no clue that I was witnessing one of the best basketball players ever I'm a grown man but I wasn't born when Micheal actually played Kobe was my Jordan even tho I'm a True Bron fan i tear up to this day about Kobe Bean Bryant he definitely had a huge impact on my life and I've never admitted this RIP BIG DOG smh 😢
