Great video. You young folks getting into film photography is really inspiring and interesting at the same time. My personal opinion from 20 years ago was I despised the NC but adored the VC-especially the 400 when they came out. The NC replaced the venerable VPS that all the portrait and wedding photographers went nuts over (hated that film too. Contrast was flat as a pancake). Of course now my opinions are moot with the ability to scan and adjust color, contrast, and saturation in whatever lightroom/photoshop program one uses these days. Keep 'em coming man. Really entertaining stuff.

Portra 160 NC was my absolute favorite color film. When I was in college in the early 2000’s it was my go to for color. The modern incarnation is great too though. Nice to see some love given to the old NC. 🥰

So I was also scanning on my Primefilm scanner as watching this video as i ss this on timeframe 2:55 as I see this and then I see this and said: "Wait a Minute???" Aren't these Rocks in the background were used in the location shooting from Star Trek TOS from the episode Shore Leave, and Arena, and also Star Trek - Picard First season??? Great Video, Vintage Film on a Vintage Film Location... Give them Points....

So are you saying shoot 800t at 800 and have them push it +4 in the lab? Or shoot it at 12800 and tell the lab you shot at 800?

I recently bought five rolls of Portra 400 UC (ultra color). I had never heard about that one before and am curious as to how the rolls turn out!

small feedback: one can really see that you are a vfx artist and know how to edit pictures, but sadly the audio was really quiet in this video and sounded thin it wasnt like this in the other videos and it looks like you are looking not straight in the camera but probably on a little screen beneath it, maybe mount the screen at the top of the camera or just look straight into it anywas i really enjoy watching your videos

Bro I just got a gsw690iii, there is not ISO reader on the camera, correct? I couldnt find so I assumed to just plug the film iso on my light meter and call it good on the readers. haha sorry im a moron sometimes just let me know if you can. Also your videos rock :)
