I first heard and learned about koenigsegg back in 2005, when i was in 5th standard. Since it was a hot topic in news because of its CCX model, i tried everything to learn more about it, thanks to the struggle of non-availability of internet to the masses, it was difficult. Over the years the newer models impressed me more and the record breaks were insane. In the last few years i learned how Mr Koenigsegg managed to make non-stop innovations in every single part/ subassembly of the car, he is an automobile engineer and his knowledge in mechanical engineering is way beyond comprehension. So many patents under his name, he always works along with most of the employees of his company. Freevalve/ camless, Direct drive tech with no gearbox, 9-speed tourbillon gearbox, triplex suspension, hollow cfrp structures, are a few groundbreaking tech/ systems that he has developed recently which are mind boggling and still unbelievable for other automotive giants. He is a humble man with clear goals in mind, fast cars for sure, but not just for the rich. Last year i gave the interview to join them for nvh and structural fea engineer, their employees were as humble and technically sound as koenigsegg himself.

Lol no, Koenigsegg doesn't just have faster acceleration, it has faster top speed with stock setup, better handling, more rounded acceleration even at higher speeds, etc. The Bugatti used for straight line speed runs are modded with reduced weights and custom tires.
