We stayed at Penny's Bungalows which was like a mini resort & had their own rocky beach & swimming pool. The fantastic breakfasts were included & the rooms were spotless. All for $15. cdn. per night. Might be cheaper for long stay but we stayed for a week.

I went to Koh Chang this month. The beach is great and quiet, but I saw lots of elephants were chained in some rusty place and the owner sold some bananas to tourist for 50-100THB, it’s horrible. The elephants looks helpless. If you like this videos plz don’t buy the bananas.

Loving this series, stayed at KB Resort a few years ago and the elephants are regular visitors to the beach. Lovely to see but like you said not nice to see them being ridden etc. You need to check out the Rasta View Bar on the main road just past Bang Bao (if you haven't already) xxx

Man!….I remember very very clearly that insane steep hill just after the view point with my wife and son on a scooter…….it’s where my first scooter rental broke down……in the rain as well, surrounded by monkeys……memories eh?

In Thailand you need to know the rate they charge for electric. Often they charge a higher rate than the state. Condos in Bangkok do, but I don't know about these places.

There are some truly beautiful places here on Koh Chang and some incredibly good prices on monthly rentals if you look around! I've spent most of my time relaxing over on the quiet side of the island and the beautiful mountain forests and rustic coastline here has been incredible for just letting any stress melt away.

Only half way through the video, but highly recommend The White Elephant restaurant and bar just up the hill from white sand beach. Also, I hade a question. How strict is the mask policy over there right now? I’m itching to get over there but not too excited about wearing a mask when it’s 95° and humid. Hope you enjoy your stay!

The elephants are tied and beaten when they are very young so They will be easier to control. Never, EVER patronise the elephant rides or photo sessions.

This island doesn’t attract me I won’t go there it looks like a pretty boring island and not as beautiful as Tao for sure

On the way back to White beach theres a view point almost opposite the hospital. Great view and a couple of machine guns. Dont upset the monks if you go there.

Great video. I had a fine cocktail at Tango last night. Easy to get too from the main road. Alley next to the green pharmacy sign.

In many ways its better to live on the mainland near Muang Trat. There are lots of private tiny beaches (eg bahn chew-an talay) and its a heap cheaper there. You can always pop over to the island if its night life you want.

Im looking for bungalow style accom right on the beach (obviously w seaview), which would you recommend plz ? You suggested STAR BEACH BUNGALOWS. Others? ALso how about WARAPURA resort or that area? Any other tips ? :)

Amazing places good for relaxing and enjoying the beautiful scenery BUT I feel like after 4-5 days it's boring unless there are organized tours or anything to see around like waterfalls etc. etc..

I’ve Been to Kho Chang before and really enjoyed it , I’ve been told elsewhere that it’s not all opened up yet and very quite would you agree as your videos look reasonable busy , also would you say the girlie bars are open as we are 6 single guys looking for company as well and are looking to hit some islands when we arrive on 12th May .
