I love koh samet, been there in 2009, 2010, 2018, 2019. Allways stay at Samed Villa resort at Ao Phai. Awsome, love to see it again. My place on earth!
Beach 4 or Tubtim beach, say helo to my friends at the first bar, some swedes and an old norwegian dude hangs out and plays pool. Nice relaxed atmosphere there
Great video from the best SEA vlogger, no bull, no ebegging, just quality content. 100 Baht an hour for scooter rental is very steep for Thailand. I don't trust those Thai ferries either, did Ko Larn once and couldn't wait to get back to land!
when you drank that chang beer and said yes its cold, I suddenly thought that would be the perfect advert for chang beer, you done it with such perfection almost like the famous Carlsberg advert
What a difference a year makes!....I could almost taste that pint of Chang ay 9.56 Thanks for the video Eddy, i'm late to the show and so going back on your old stuff, never been to Ko Samet as i had heard it was overrun with Chinese day-trippers but from what i saw in your video i'll definitely be going when i get off on my trip...might not eat in that beachside restaurant though....bloody expensive!
Only recently subscribed and loving the videos mate, sorry fellow scouser here, been to Thailand loads of times over the years but you have brought Siam Reap to my attention thanks for that. Been to Koh Samet a few times Candlelight beach was fab but then I was with a lad then cheers pal
Nothing like a paradise beach in the tropics....... the best beach i ever went to was on saona island (Dominican Republic) and it had it all the coconut palms, white sand and cristal clear blue water and the burning hot sun
Yes island paradise Eddie. Fantastic beaches clear water what else could a man want. At least you left the bones mate ... looked a great meal. Thanks for your adventures. Bushyboy Oz.
Eddie, when are we going to get back to all this again? I love watching these vids, especially yours, but at the mo its just getting me down. I'm starting to wonder if we will ever experience these great, fun times again! Hope all is well mate, your a top quality geezer👍
Beach number 4 is where i will be with my family on the 27th Jan to 24th Feb, at the end of that beach is a place called TUB TIM a chalet bungalow for one night is about 1800 baht including breakfast. great thing about TUB TIM is you do not get speedboasts every 10 minutes bring hoards of Chinese on day trips.
I was first in Samet on my first visit to Thailand around 2003.Stayed at Vondalong beach ( sp ?) down the very end of the Island .A few years later i came again and took my Honda Phantom motorcycle on a fishing boat over. It looks far more developed now. Then there were no concrete roads that i remember. It was all dirt tracks which got very muddy in the rain .Its handy to get to only around an hour to the ferry port from Pattaya.May give it a try again on my next visit to Thailand .
Great stuff Eddie, not been there for around 10 - possibly 12 yrs but must make an effort to get back, certainly a very beautiful island. How much is a speed boat ticket, I think the normal ferry takes too long. I think nick dean (NDTVI) did a video on that. But it’s Ao nang & Pattaya first for me at the end of this month - then Boracay (Philippines) with my beautiful thai lady the end of August, so Samet will have to wait until December
Hi, Martin. Don't know about a speed boat. I only noticed those after I made the journey. Hope you have a great holiday. Sounds like some great location.
Beach number 4, or as you called it - 'a miniature model version of Christmas Island,' is known as Ao Pudsa. Stayed there in a bungalow for 3 nights in 2017, it was wonderfully peaceful. The staff were friendly and helpful too.
I stay at silver sands (beach 3) and love it there, my favourite bar is on beach 4 and its trio cocktail bar. I have them on my channel. I do love koh samet
Edward. Have you thought about doing Vietnam this April for F1 race weekend. Who else will do it??? Me and 2 mates doing it then pattaya 9 nights then onto China for the race in Shanghai. Would love to meet you fella.
Oh I was soooo close to doing that, but the GF is coming to Oz mid March so I had to go mid Feb instead. It will be a blast, but as with all things Vietnamese there will be a degree of fuckery involved in the 1 (and 2nd ..) one. Enjoy, travel well.
Mr Sweeney my last few trips to Thailand I have been going to Hua Hin. I will be there in April. Thanks to your video I shall spend twelve day in Koh Samet. Looks lovely just what I am looking for a bit of R&R.
James Lane To be honest James I have been very lucky. I have been travelling around Southeast Asia since 1996. Only once had food Poisoning that was in Vietnam. As I say very lucky or a strong Constitution.
Nice one Ed, made me want to have a wander down the beach and bird watch, nudge nudge, wink , wink.. a good place to chill after a week of debauchery in Pat's.
Brilliant video Eddie! It looks an amazing place! I usually watch the videos on my phone but had you on the big screen tonight. You could’ve been on “wish you were here?” 😎
another great vlog Eddie been koh chang a few times.this is a great alternative my next trip definitely trying it out I do like islands for some relaxation and charge the batteries
The way that cat was licking his lips I tip he shared a bit of that fish with you haha! Usually in Thailand when I eat fish I have the red snapper, one of my favorites, but last year I had a mackerel for the first time and yes, as yours, it was damn good.
After watching many of your videos I am inspired to get in touch with Tim Martin to suggest an all-inclusive Wetherspoons package of accommodation, Asian ladies mixed in with a few beaches, maybe some sun, roast dinners and a lot of beers which can be experienced within the UK at a package price of say £500 for a weekend. No alarm clocks, no airports, no jet lag, no hassle all provided within easy reach of your home town. Just a thought. What do you say Eddy it’s got to be a winner 😂
Surely my comment deserves more than a like love Eddy. Apart from anything else, it’s hilarious but also true. Come on Eddy wise up. Like the Thais do ie say many a true word in jest. You need to understand why you get depressed when leaving the land of smiles etc. Know thy self is the clue. You take yourself with you wherever you go in the world. What you seek maybe very near by but until you know what it is you seek you will never know.
I have always fancied Koh Samed one day I'll get there but Pattaya keeps dragging me back every time, what is it about Pattaya.... it must be the 2000+ bars and plenty of ladies to chat to you on a hot and humid night.
Nice vlog Ed ditto about Kho Samet been going for years deffo best to take a girl with you for 2/3 days of relaxing cant go wrong , 100฿ a day to hire a bike not hour
Hi mate. damn, that vlog makes me wanna go back to samed. We were only there last feb and we also had a couple in that nice Island Bar too. Fish n chips looked good. We also ate at that food hall too. ;-]. Glad you seemed to enjoy the contrast compared to Pattaya. ;-]
@@Angie.Globetrotter Absolutely. I live in BKK - Sathorn. This isn't the cheapest district around the city. But I can get "Pad Thai Gung" at every corner. Prices usually vary between 50 and 70 Baht. Depends on if you want egg "Hor Khai" as well. If a Thai would offer me Pad Thai for 250 Baht, I'd seriously ask him what's wrong in his brain...
Steady Eddie! Glad to see you sit in front of a Cold Beer again! Ironic that a SIAMESE Cat was the only Pussy... Cat to show interest in you! In a comparison, how expensive/inexpensive is that place compared to Bangkok, Pattaya, & Phuket? Thank You for the info & love to live vicariously through you! I'll make it out there in the future & buy you gallons of Cold Ones! All the Best, GUY
Hi, Guy. I didn't think Koh Samet was really expensive compared to those other places. If you avoid the obvious pricey eateries on the beach front, you can get good value. Good to hear from you.
