he needs to practice more with this style his beats seem very complex and it’s hard to keep it going for more then 90sec, many would struggle the same using his speed, style and beats Kohey is one of the best 😁 Big fan of him wish he could of shown his work in battle im sure no pauses would occur just this elimination was too long to keep a killer beat like his going. Big respect to DLow
Yeah, the problem in here is exactly the thing that alem concerned with the kind of style, we can see that he finally solved it. I think with kohey, he does has a style in how he created a melody, but sadly he always did that short in the intro which just to be formal.
Honestly think D-low was a really good judge, he seems to have picked up on so many details, can't wait to hear his thoughts on the higher placed eliminations.
This series is honestly great for people who want to get into the competitive scene. Gives people an insight on what judges may be looking for when it comes to making a routine and performing live (or online)
Indeed I bet judging next year will be so much harder than this year because all the beatboxers will make sure that their piece checks all the boxes mentioned here, so maybe the ranking will depend more on the unintentional mistakes that will be made on stage or the overall melody and beat of the piece.
@@MrYass24 it'll be harder because a year from now because everyone will be so much better. The general judging criteria has been known for a while, this is just for new beatboxers in the competitive scene
I was expecting AMAZING things from kohey , but I think he delivered even more than I expected. def can improve, but I’m hella excited to see what improvement will bring to such a sick beatboxed already
Personally, and no hate on B-Art or Alem but I liked Improver and Kohey's eliminations far more than either one of them. The soundset and sound quality was just so much more pleasing.
Kohey was one of my favorites from the elims, what a beast, technicality, in terms of power, and even in terms of rhythms and grooves in my opinion. If he works on his structure and overall flow of round, I feel he'll destroy everybody, even more so in battles. It seems that everybody in sarukani is constantly improving and pushing themselves to the limit, cant wait to see them next year as well.
The energy and speed of kohey's flow is amazing. By the way, I was impressed by d-low's comment at the GBB21 press conference that he was paying attention to kohey. I'm sure he will be a great beatboxer. He can be active not only in Japan but also in the world. Please keep an eye on him.
They both have extremely loud and powerful (and clean) technicality so you're right, but Kohey seems to push himself really hard like Alem (since you can't really hear yourself much on stage) to make sure the audience hears him. That messed up his flow a bit. But I think Kohey has a lot more battle material than we think. We just didn't get to see it.
@@snoopyr1953 Yeah I agree and there is a difference between the amount of routines vs variety. It every routine is loud and energetic all the way through (and not saying that its not impressive because kohey has insane clean tech), it will be a bit repetitive. Again no hate, I'd say kohey has one of if not the best tech this years gbb. I loved dlow's point about dynamics and predictability. Dlow really gave sound advice to kohey.
I watched the livestream with a friend and we ranked the eliminations too. For us Kohey was in second place just because we were so fascinated and impressed by his beatboxing skills. After listening to your points, I think we ranked him a bit too high, but I feel like he would have deserved a place in top 16
Kohey's elimination was my personal fav 🥰 I enjoyed it sooooo much when I saw it live ^^ I was stunned when he finished cause I couldn't believe what just happened 🧡🧡🧡
Dan could you do more tutorials? You explain them so well. Also I have a new special sound I invented. How to I get recognition with out my idea ring stolen? Thx. You da goat
If its your own special sound that noone has made as well, just keep using it until you get known that you use and made that sound. Just like stitch's 626 effect if noone has used the sound then it wont get "stolen"
Master that sound maybe submit a shoutout to like beatbox international for recognition and then people will realize you did that before and invented it
Dlowもその中の一人なんじゃないでしょうかね😌 【English / translation】(Im not good at speaking English, sry guys.) Even after days, I go back and forth between the original video and this video many times 😆 Many people are advised about the composition, but on the contrary, it is really amazing that the top people are overwhelmed by saying "He is a beast / His technical is insane." think. There is no word that can be described well in Japanese (laughs) The top beatboxer and many people already want to see kohey's GBB22 which also has a composition and technicals of cource. I'm purely thinking that the expectations are high from now on because various people are saying it. I think Dlow is one of them 😌 Dlow, Thank you so much for your great judjes, compliments, indicates, advices, coments for Kohey's performance. Your judje's showcase was an amazing too. I can't wait for watching your showcase at GBB in the video😆 Big big big love from JPN💛
i hate the water rule so damn much… like i wish they would vote to take it out & either way this guy did it perfect cuz i didn’t even notice and it allowed the crowd to breathe it was good
His timing and breath was worse than Tomazacre. Just sayin', if that's why T lost, then please rethink your life. Lol No hate, just my opinion. Water, timing mistakes, and heavy breathing happened in this one, too. I think T's was the best. This one wasn't nearly as good, I think.
kohey aşırı iyi yapmış fakat 9. olmasının sebebi iki kere böldü ordan baya puan kaybetti onun disinda harika ötesiydi hatta kesmeseydi 1. olurdu kesmesinin sebebi ise dünyanin en hizlisi alem bile son iki dk hizlaniyo 4 dk hiza diyafram mi dayanir abi tıkandı kohey ama kesmese 1. olurdu bu arada alemden daha hızlı buldum bence en hızlısı kohey.
PLEASE HIDE YOUR MOUSE CURSOR FROM THE VIDEO CLIPS, so annoying D:! I always watch your analysis on every GBB video and noticed it happens in all of them. In my analysis of your analysis series that's all the critique I have, love-yow
This was the first elim I witnessed live, were i told my friend, this was extremly good, but this won't make it. The problem with high energy is, as a crowd, you're just overwhelmed. You literally don't have the time to feel or cope with the high energy unless that energy has been build up well. It sounded unreal but only highs become confusing and you don't get to enjoy them. Kohey is a future champ though, the things he's shown, mmmyyyyy gooddddd 🔥🔥🔥🔥
It is a plan to imitate the beat boxer when the kohey comes out ,d low said he did not know about Kohey. Such relations have brought the present relationship. It is very glad d low兄ぃ大好きよ💓
I’ve heard a lot from other analysis videos that drinking water on stage is a No-No but you didn’t mention that being a reason on Kohey’s placement on the rankings. Are the judges really paying attention to that?
on a previous video people talked about how they appreciated the no-spoilers for this event. Meanwhile, I - a total newcomer into the beatboxing world - am even having a hard time finding the actual results of the elimination! And I also can't seem to find any news/article about why there seems to be no mention of Show Go anywhere yet he won a wildcard. Can someone point a newbie in the right direction. Love the vids and the breakdowns, love the energy and what can I say, I love beatboxing!
Is it just me… Or does anyone else feel like looking back at it now… I feel like he could’ve or should’ve been qualified It would’ve made GBB 2021 so intense considering his elimination stage’s intensity
