We've got a Kohler 277 that was flowing fuel straight into the cylinder to the point it was leaking straight out of the engine...This helped me diagnose and order the parts for the carb, thanks!

Great.....lots of help. Great video quality so I can see all actions. Only one fix I see is you forgot to show how to test the fuel solenoid. However, you showing how it moves so easily up and down showed me mine is probably bad. It is a bit difficult to move down and you can watch it move up slowly unlike yours which seemed very quick.
@JeffsLittleEngineService
@JeffsLittleEngineService 7 лет назад
when the fuel solenoid is installed on the lawnmower, it should make a "click" sound when you turn the ignition key to the first position (Accessory position). This is the sound of the plunger moving. If it is off the Mower you can watch the plunger move when the key is turned to the accessory position.

Great video! Question, no leakage when running. But if I leave the throttle lever all the way up in the choke position and shut off the engine, gas pours out voraciously. Any thoughts?

@@JeffsLittleEngineService OK. Will do when the weather breaks. Just got 6 inches of new snow. Funny thing, I have a Toro 1132 snow blower. Briggs d Stratton eng. The carburetor is completely different and it would leak if I move the lever to "off". Just the opposite. Crazy! Thanks.

So how do you test the solenoid? Test the wire for 12v when the key is turned on, and maybe hook it up "out of the carb" and it should pull downward, correct? Mower will run when sprayed but isn't getting gas, trying to fix it.

Those nuts holding the air box to the carb are loose from the factory. I don't know why.
@terrywhite3081
@terrywhite3081 5 лет назад
There are a few little things you had no problem with which are big ones for me. Such as the screw holding the carb on the right side keeps being pushed in when putting the cover on. Can't get your hand behind it to hold it in place. The new solenoid hard to screw in by feel with float bowl in place as it moves on me.
