it's such a foundational element that I can't decide if it's the only thing that was able to cater to my bias for melodies or if it's what caused my bias for melodies in music - but how early Kondo got in the game and still remain one of the greatest is mindblowing.

Having an epic adventure in TLOZ, jumping and shooting in Mega Man, killing monsters and demons in Bloodstained AKA not Castlevania, racing in F-Zero, destroying the covenant in halo... but if I listen to music from popular artists/band I just don't like it that much I can't feel the connection with that kind of music. Sometimes people may take for granted just how innately, incredibly important a good soundtrack is to a game. I'm not using hyperbole when I say that the musical compositions are a major reason some of the biggest games/series of all times like Mario and Zelda are even as beloved as they are, and the emotion and zest for gameplay brought about by truly great compositions (which Kondo-san's represent better than any else in the history of the medium) can singlehandedly give games such a massive boost in overall value and emotional resonance it's hard to put into words.

I have listened to stuff from F-Zero X, SF64 and Ocarina of Time the most out of any other franchise because of them and I appreciate them for it. I think they have even inspired me a bit musically with what I want to make professionally. And I love how Kondo made the music based on the gameplay speed and the "rhythm" of player movements, because it really works when you see the games he has composed for. Also where Kondo gets his inspiration from in strange places, I can actually relate XD Thank you so much, from the bottom of my heart, Koji Kondo and Hajime Wakai. Your work means a lot to me.

So while watching this I decided to play Smash as Little Mac. And I did put the CPU at random and it was the builder Mario outfit which freaked me out considering the title of this video.

I always wanted to play some of these music on my Trombone when I was in my school years. I often asked my music teachers to bring in some compositions from Nintendo's Koji Kondo. Sadly they never knew who he was and they never knew where his music came from much less how to get music pieces for Consert Band music. While there is always other music in gaming composed by Nobu Urematsu (Squaresoft/Square-Enix) and David Wise (RARE), I will always remember Koji Kondo as being his music that first introduced me to Nintendo games and Gaming in general.
