Well you have to realize, unfortunately that baby is already dead. Komodos have an anti-clotting bacteria in their mouths. Now, or in a few hours the calf will simply bleed to death.
@@fishfossils8858 yeah but they dont really know that as they dont search it up or Google it so they can fight back as they mught think rhey can save it
@@shschesschamp Agreed. I guess water buffalos are just way dumber than what I thought they were. They could of maybe walked around and put them rock-paws and the 1000lbs of weight to good use & squish that Dragon. But They don't have the strategic mind required for that advanced of combat technique. Total morons lol
The two buffalo parents are stupid. Yes, they're animals but they are very, very dumb. Each of them is armed with two dangerous impaling weapons on its head and four knock out hoofs, yet they stand there looking like dazed morons while a lizard devours their offspring. Wild cats, bears are much smarter and would destroy anything trying to harm their cubs.
Look at wild life is it easy to problem solve it? I would not want to be killed by Komodo dragon for so many reasons. I want to be out of this situation like this calf and it can't happen.
Funny how people see this vid and are heartbroken but when a person is being beaten on the street most will look away, or worse, grab their phone and record it.
@Joe Howard they probably instinctual knew the calf was dead no matter what tho, Komodo venom is unsurvivable,, Also those horns are usually meant for sparring their own species to "scare" predators
these buffalo know through thousands of years of evolution that these dragons are extremely dangerous and they most likely know that the calf is as good as dead
Even if the calf got loose, he'd die in a while. The Komodo Dragon would track him and wait until the poison from the Dragon's saliva killed the poor calf.
Once the dragon bites, it's just a question of how long it will take the now septic prey to die. There is no cruelty here. There is only natural predator behavior. Sad to see a helpless animal suffer, but such scenes are simply a part of the natural world.
Cruel if your not a hungry Komodo-but are we any less cruel with our industrialized killing machines when we kill millions of animals sight unseen and eat them without a thought of what takes place that we may eat ?
@@jeffreycabanellas8113 Put on your big boy pants, Mr. Sensitive. Had our species not adapted to eat animals, our brains would never have evolved beyond those of gorillas. Explore evolutionary biology. It will answer a lot of questions.

There's nothing he can do to save the poor cow. Komodo Dragons carry deadly bacterias and there's no way that animal could have survived even if he interfered to save the poor animal.
The parents r just standing there trying to comfort it, like it's ok dear it will be over soon we have to sacrifice u to the lizard gods so that our next child shall be spared lol
Beo iys nature .....saving animal after getting hit by car or stuck in fence etc is a good thing.......but saving him from predators is not fair. It law of nature we should not interfere.........and taking about heart then just look at us the human we kill hen eat chicken, fish and what so ever thing..what have they done y are they been killed.....that time where does your heart go ??? No one raise questions on it.. if an Buffalo is killed by man for its meat then it fair but at the same time when it comes to animals killing Buffalo for its meat we raise questio... whyyyy the hell......
The parent cows doesn't know what enemy could do. Playing save is the only way. Yea! We know koodo drangon needs to eat. By the way watching these heartbreaking wildlife can change people in general.❤
You are the wicked one! Komodo dragon bites with poison - this is how they eat. Nasty of you to demand someone interfere with nature and risk getting the deadly bite as well. You should be ashamed of being such a cruel idiot.
El que está tomando el video no lo alluda porque le intensa más el video pa ganar dinero que la vida del pobre animalito deberás que el del video no tiene sentimientos
You are wrong. The calf will die even if the people with the camera helps. The komodo dragon bites with poison so too late for the calf. You want the komodo dragon to bite the people with the camera? You are ignorant.

My friend, it has been said that they have bacteria in their bite that causes bad infection in their prey. However, Scientists did come to the conclusion they actually release venom when they bite. It has been said in different programs, that they release saliva that has bacteria. They say their saliva's bacteria is normal. They are deadly regardless.
@@evx575 What I'm saying regarding Komodo Dragon's saliva bacteria is what have been stated in different animal and reptile programs, not so much my theory but theirs. Consult with where the statements about these lizards started from in the programs. Ok. You're a Toxicology specialist. Check with the aired programs or other reptile program officials.
This new study states that Komodo dragons (2020) are like phytons and saltwater crocodiles, where Komodo dragons can swim in water, have a tongue to smell, have poison, have thick skin, canibalism, have large nails and enjoy sunbathing. Komodo between the two, a brutal animal. Even the Komodo Dragon is different from the Monitor Lizard. It was even reported that a TOURIST FROM SINGAPORE was bitten on the leg by Komodo Dragons and that was not the only incident. This is no joke and this is 100% real. The tourist from Singapore did not know the difference between a Monitor and a Komodo dragon, so in the end he was bitten by a medium-sized Komodo dragon on his leg and his left leg was torn, so he was also brought in for treatment. Difference between Komodo Dragons and Monitor/Water/Bengal/Asian Lizards, please be careful, it's better to meet Monitor than Komodo. Because the tourist accident incident due to the Komodo Dragons attack in Indonesia is a real incident. Even now the population of Komodo Dragons has increased to 3.500, exceeding the population of the Giant Panda. Komodo Dragons are amazing animals and have many skills. Komodo dragons eat deer, monkeys, cows, buffalo, snakes, small Komodo dragons, turtles, fish, goats, wild boars, snakes and so on which are considered edible. With just a small scratch, Komodo dragons can smell the blood of their victims from a great distance. >Komodo Dragon can lay eggs without the need for fertilization. > Its claws are sharp, hard and large and can even dig the ground as deep as 1 meter to find food or lay eggs. >Skin that has a rough, hard and thick layer, even if the Komodo dragon sheds its skin, the peeled skin does not crumble or shrink. >Komodo dragons' teeth are like saws, very small but also very many. Located under the skin of the gums. Its function is not to bite but to tear. >Komodo Dragons have 2 layers of eyes, namely to see at night and dive under water. Because Komodo dragons can also swim and dive. >Its nature is very deceptive and very similar to a crocodile, the Komodo dragon pretends to be silent and will attack if the target is off guard. However, if the target runs, the Komodo dragon only needs to give 1 small scratch. >Komodo Dragons are also included in cannibal animals where they eat smaller ones. >Komodo Dragons have very good antibodies that's why there are no cases of Coronavirus or Covid19 that have affected the Komodo Dragon, unlike Dogs, Tigers, Lions, Bears or Wolves. Basically, in the body of the Komodo dragon there are more than 100 types of bacteria and viruses. >Komodo Dragons do not depend on water to survive, because basically the mouth of the Komodo dragon is always filled with its own saliva. So that he can survive even though the weather is dry. > It should also be noted that Komodo dragons are animals that have been named by UNESCO, NATGEO, ANIMAL PLANET, BBC EARTH and others as prehistoric animals for world history. >The Komodo dragon eats its prey alive slowly but also swallows it whole according to the size of its mouth. >The Komodo dragon can also camouflage by deceiving its prey, such as blending into the sand, becoming a statue, playing dead, lurking from a distance and following the scent it smells at a distance of more than 5km. Komodo is identified as a prehistoric animal because the bones of the Komodo dragon do not have the same backbone as saltwater crocodiles, pythons, blue whales and white sharks. And their way of life is to be alone, not in groups. The characteristics of Komodo dragons are indeed very ancient, such as saltwater crocodiles and pythons. Because these 3 beasts have the exact same characteristics. There are even videos of Komodo dragons eating pregnant deer, eating water buffalo alive, eating turtle shells, eating fruit bat, eating wild pig alive, eating monkey alive and so on. Komodo Dragons are included in the category of animals for researchers because they have been studied for a long time and previously, Komodo dragons were not notified to the public. Therefore several Komodo dragons were brought to the zoo internationally for observation. Many people hate komodo dragons because it is their trademark, basically dragons are ancient animals that even existed before the ice civilization and human civilization. So, komodo dragons is world heritage for International. Komodo dragons are much older than tigers, lions, wolves, bears, dogs, cats, monkeys, horses, elephants, bulls, pandas, porcupines, gorillas, foxes, giraffes, eagles, leopards, polar bears, chickens and kangaroos. Saltwater Crocodiles, Pythons and Komodo Dragons are 3 originality very ancient series of animals (From Lilith era).
Yes you so right i do so agree with all you statements and i am going to say four yeses for this And thank you i really appreciate your explanation it is all making sense and very mark able thank for educating people
А ещё говорят умные животные друг другу помогают, да боднули бы этого варана ...как у нас сейчас тащит полиция человека, а вокркг люди бегают и снимают на телефон...😏😏😏
Because if thry get bit they'll die as well and even if they kill the dragon when they finally give in to the venomous infection all the dragon's friends will be there to feast.
These cows don't know how horrible and dangerous this Komodo Dragon really is. The parents i don't know what to do in this situation.. I feel sad for the parents of calve watching the calve in this situation.
@@komodopark Not to worry. I generally don't watch nature docs anymore cuz they show how brutal it is. They didn't do that years ago. Survival of the fittest.
Surprised by the lack of protection on display here. If a Komodo dragon attacked a Cape buffalo calf, the adults in the herd would have decorated their horns with dragon guts…
For those who are mad or sad or different emotions. The buffalos were probably scared to even fight back for their young. And the komodo dragon already bit the calf. No hope.
