So much hatred for an animal who helps keeps the beaches clean from dead carcasses that get washed up on the beach. I don't know how this turtle died; but I assume that perhaps it may have died out at sea. Then after death it was washed up. It's better for these scavengers to eat up dead bodies than to have the dead bodies stay their to rot and perhaps become a health risk to the public. Yes, these Komodo dragons do hunt from time to time. But for the most part, they're scavengers taking any opportunity to eat wherever they can. I'd much rather have Komodo dragons walking around the beach keeping it clean than to have a whole bunch of dead carcasses scattered everywhere.

They're excellent scavengers. When something dies they are there to clean up the mess. Yes, they hunt, but for the most part they are scavengers who take food wherever it may be available.
