Sold!! I was going for a Kysek cooler but am now going for the Kong. As you say, a cooler that can be used in a number of ways that are very very useful in a camp/boating/RV setup......this is genius!

Looks good! Great latches, which can make a big difference when multiple people are using a cooler. I had a 95 qt. pelican, and the laborer crew at work could understand they needed to click it closed,.. as opposed to just "close", but not push down the lid on an igloo or coleman fishing cooler, or deal with the rubber toggles on my current ozark trail cooler. That alone makes a huge difference in ice retention. Well designed otherwise too!

I just received my Kong 70, grey and red. I have seen many reviews on them, that is why I purchased it. Why doesn't anybody ever talk about the HUGE GAP in the back part of the seal in the lid near the hinges? When it is closed and I press on the lid air escapes out so incredibly easy. If I press and release multiple times quickly it sounds like the darn thing is breathing! If I would have had a chance to physically see it before hand I would not have purchased it. Does anybody else that owns one even care about that? Why is it never mentioned?

707SonomaComa The split is on purpose. If you didn’t have a split they would have to install a pressure relief valve like the one Cabela’s Polar cap has. So those that go into higher altitudes the pressure can equalize inside the cooler. No big deal I’m sure you could always glue the seal together if it bothers you that much, just a thought.

Also want to add, is if you put dri ice in it as it expands the gas has to escape otherwise BOOM! You just turned your cooler into your own working BOMB!! 👍😀 Look up Fat boy coolers the manufacture says that you have to remove there pressure relief valve before using dri ice.

My Pelican has a quarter inch gap in the gasket. It still holds ice for a few days.

The Kong Cooler Company is awesome! I told them about the issue and they sent out a replacement gasket right away. I will be purchasing more items from them for sure.

707SonomaComa that’s awesome to hear! Pelican wouldn’t send me one, said it was designed that way. I was going to silicone it, but after ice lasted 5 days, I decided against it. Kong is on my list of future coolers. I might sell my Rtic 20 and get a Kong 25. Or just get a Kong 50.

What is the cost? The Yeti's are extremely overpriced. Walmart and Academy have their brands of Yeti's as well which are much cheaper and look very similar. Would love to see an ice test with all of the brands side by side with the same amount of volume and ice added. Great video young man!

@MrMrsregor Wrong sir.....KONG 50 qt costs $269.00 and the 70qt costs $309.00 The Yeti Tundra 65qt is $349.99 and its not a true 65qt it’s comparable to a 45qt-50qt inside dimensions.

Hey, I'm sold, so don't get me wrong...just one little quibble; that gizmo/cutting board combo being touted, as a chopping surface, is a stretch! Put your prepped ingredients there, if you want. Hell, Park your beer, there, if you want, but, I spent years, cooking, in commercial kitchens, and even the most junior apprentice would refuse to use a sharp knife, on a surface that flexes; we are talking fast-lane, to the E.R, here! 🚧 🔪 🆘
