Does kookaburra live in the old gum tree? These birds are terrestrial kingfishers but they don't generally eat fish as their family name would suggest. There are four kookaburra species and they're found throughout Australia and Papua New Guinea, though they've also been introduced outside of the native ranges. Kookaburras are known as the laughing birds, though really only one species makes the iconic laughing trill. The other three species make rolling squawks, but they don't quite reach the laugh like the laughing kookaburra.
Scientific Name: Genus - Dacelo
Range: Native to Australia and Papua New Guinea; introduced to New Zealand
Size: 16 inches (40cm) in length on average
Diet: insects, small mammals, reptiles like snakes and lizards
Lifespan: 10 to 20 years

I personaly think my friend is made out of both the hummingbird and the laughing kookaburra.Side of her is very energetic and always on the go,but needs to rechargeon some sugar every now and then,and part of her laughs.A LOT
