I absolutely love the last version (along with variations) - my wife and I have made it several times since discovering it last fall and can't get enough! 🙂
Hi Kelly! Thank you🙏. I appreciate your kind words. It means a lot to me🙏 Here is the written Cucumber Side Salad recipe: www.modernpepper.com/post/cucumbersalads
Clicked like and subscribed! 😋 I’m currently living in JP and it’s been a little difficult to find my staples from back home in Seattle. I definitely must find chili flakes, I see a lot of daikon on sale here. Once I find my chili flakes I can make my favorite radish kimchi. Do you have a good recipe for green onion salad , bean sprouts (w/chili pepper) and fish cake? I know that’s a huge request, I’ve been wanting to learn them for a while. Thank you for sharing your recipes! Volume turned up when it was time to taste test yum!
Im still waiting for the hour long special on anything you decide it to be on! lol. You could even do a 10 minute segment on kitchen tool and equipment care and such just to start. Its not realistic to do a one hour video but hey I can dream right?! You need to open a restaurant, i need to get rich, then i can buy your food all the time forever. Then I wont ever have to buy groceries again! Keep these shows comin!
Aww...MIKE! That is SO SWEET of you to say💚. THANK YOU🙏. YES, I agree with all your suggestions! ONE DAY, I will be able to hire professionals and employees so I can create more contents. I would even LUV to create sauces/condiments, and even sell home-delivery Korean meal-kits, too! Maybe for the upcoming 100K subscriber milestone, I can do a LIVE stream video at a Korean supermarket so the viewers can ask questions. Thanks again for your support🙏. Here is a funny 😭 video I created in response to Drew Barrymore & Martha Stewart Ramen Scissors Hack video. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-5JolPFkrbhk.html
Love the way you break it all down it makes it so much easier to copy. My Mom spicy limit doesn't exist. She is worst then a baby. She think a papbleno pepper is like dragon fire. To give you some idea of what a baby she is when it comes to hot stuff. But she still wants that red color that everyone else gets. So can I sub out the Korean hot pepper flakes for something else? That will still turn it red without changing the flavor? The only thing I can come up with is Paprika not smoked Paprika just Paprika would that work? It would be greatly appreciated. If you have any other ideas I am all ears. Thanks
I have Korean pepper flakes that are not spicy at all. But paprika powder should also work. Maybe even a bit of tomato paste? Or blend up some oven roasted bell pepper for a mock chilly paste.
@@tinamorgan5099 mine are empty so I can’t check but I read that Assi brand is much less spicy than others. Maybe find a Korean supermarket and ask them? The people at mine are always incredibly helpful. Otherwise look for bell pepper powder online. 😊
Hi Tina! Great questions! For your mom that has low threshold for spicy foods, I would do one of the following: - Make the way it is suppose to so you can enjoy as it is meant to taste, and then for your mom, she can have a small bowl of cold bowl and rinse each bite in the water before she eats it. This is what we do for young children that cannot handle regular spicy foods. - Make her the other cucumber dishes that does not include pepper flakes. - Only add a tiny bit of the Korean pepper flakes when you make the spicy version for her. FYI - I love the taste of paprika, but using it in place of Korean pepper flakes will yield a completely different taste. Unfortunately, there is no such thing as non-spicy Korean pepper flakes. There are some brands that make "mildly spicy" pepper flakes, but instead of using this, just add less of the regular Korean pepper flakes. Just made the first dish. Tried a bit of sauce just now and it's nice and refreshing. Didn't have the beef dashida but I have Chinese chicken stock which is a different flavor profile but worked nicely. Thank you for sharing your recipe. Simple and quick.
Yay🙌. Thanks for cooking Korean food with me! You can order the Korean Beef Dashida online, if u can’t get to a Korean market. amzn.to/3PRgcRc The Korean product links are in the description box of this video.
I made this for the first time with dashida and my Korean GF calls me banchan ajusshi now..... she used to call Mr. Sang maekju man or chimaek man so I guess that is an upgrade......
