My grandma was like this before she passed. She said I went through the Japanese occupation and the Korean War. I seen and been through enough shit in my lifetime. I’m going to eat whatever I want
Listen my grandpa is single, loves to bbq and is familiar with Korean culture, at one point he even spoke some Korean and we make bulgogi all the time so yeah
My wife is Korean. When I first met her, her grandmother was still alive and they were very close. We used to take her out to eat all the time. She couldn’t speak English, so I got used to watching her expressions reacting to the food. We got to be very close before she died. Watching these videos makes me remember her. Thank you so much!
@@vanguardoftruth4166 Boomer Remover! I have heard them, "Millennials" call This virus that for us older folks! I guess these kids want to see their Mom's and Dad's, their Grandparents and so on, kick the bucket!? What a generation we spawned!! What I understand is that this sucker doesn't give a rats butt about your age!! You "Children" best not be wishing something on someone else! It may turn and bite in in the BUTT!
It’s so bizarre hearing random English words spoken perfectly amongst the Korean Lol. Also I love how the girl is describing everything and it looks like she’s describing a vintage wine or some kind of expensive scotch.
“The best food I’ve ever tried.” Your grandma is a wise, wise woman😊 We need to get her on a tour of the top BBQ cities in America. She’d be in heaven...
@@TexasRose50 Not really. Cities? really the best food comes from small towns, avoid the cities at all cost and go to small towns if you want to see the friendliest people and best food. Up state New York has some of the best food you ever have, but if all you know is NYC then you know nothing about New York State and how great the food and the people are. And I'm willing to bet its the same everywhere else as well.
Well, I don’t really have that many Korean grandparents to choose from, so seeing as she is in a field of one competitor I guess that puts her in an unassailable position.
I know i have actually never met her and probably never will but I genuinely love her, she is just such a sweet person that she literally registers in my mind as "grandma" not even grandma ok she is just grandma to me
My best friend is Korean and his grandmother was basically my grandmother. Most of his friends hated going over to his house because they thought the food was weird, but me? Oh heck no! I let my friends Mom and Grandma totally fill me up with amazing Korean food and when I made a big burp, (much to my friend's sister's embarrassment) they all applauded cuz that a sign of a good meal in traditional Korean culture. Sadly my friend's grandmother has passed on but I still miss her so much. She was a rowdy old lady that didn't take shit from anyone, but who was so adorable. May she rest in peace. Oh....btw....she LOVED TX BBQ!!!
This is one of the most heartwarming things I've ever seen. I literally have tears in my eyes it makes me so happy. Korean cuisine is some of the best in the world, so to see her enjoy American BBQ so much really means something special.
Even if my one grandma was still here (or the other one was sane, like she is actually institutionalised level insane) I would still just view her as grandma ya know, she is so pure she just sets off the braincells for grandma to me
It’s hard to get good meat in these times thank god my brother is a chief doe and can make great sauce I’d argue the sauce is just as important as the meat

Grandma is adorable! I just want to bring her back to Texas, cook for her and give her a big ole hug. She clearly loves food and her reactions are the best.
Seeing the two of you so earnestly enjoying foods from so many places, is too good and precious. I never really understood mukbangs [I have sensory issues and watching people chew is not something I can handle], but if you did one with you and Grandma Ok, I would watch it in a heartbeat, many times over. Thank you for the content, even during these tough times!
Once I make too much for my friends birthday and had to make parties almost everyday to get rid of it. Yeah don’t think that’s possible rn so I gotta eat it all.
oh my god I could sit here and watch these ladies trying new foods all day. They're both so open minded and so kind. Some of these "people try new things" videos on other youtube channels have people who are more judgmental or opinionated and it's not as enjoyable. These ladies are so open minded and so positive, they seem to like most of the foods but when they don't like something they are really nice about it. Just really pleasant to watch.
I prefer watching reaction videos of people who are authentic and open and kind like this channel too. I think the best reaction videos are made by more empathetic people who are genuinely trying to share an experience.
@@Weeble_Wobble eh, I believe it. The sweetness comes from brown sugar and honey, both of which would affect the look/consistency of the sauce. Not saying I'M able to see it, but I was a Corpus Christian, anyway; we do seafood and Whataburger lol
SeenyerDoesEverything Else you can usually tell just by looking but also bbq sauce needs some molasses even Texas bbq but also I ain’t a chef and I ain’t cooked ribs by self yet
not a texan, but as a foodie, I can't stand 'sauce' thats more like cheap syrup. So far, in any cooking style, this is what always tells me if the cook knows what they're doing or not.
Same. In Dallas, there’s a barbecue place called Pecan Lodge that people love so much sometimes you have to wait in line for like an hour. 😂 Funny thing is I’m a vegetarian now, so I don’t know why I’m here 😆
This is my first time watching this video. I love the Grandmother she seem so sweet. She’ll try almost anything. And like it. She truly is the star of the show. Love it.
The first time i bumped in to this channel i thought it was gonna be some grandma being very critical on the foods like many other channels are , but she just always seems to look more on the good of the food instead of what it lacks or what it has too much of and now im hooked on this channel.
Seriously how does this channel with these beautiful people not have more subscribers I’ve smiled and laughed more in the past couple of days from finding them than I have in a couple of years🖤 such pure content
She seems like an intelligent women. And I love the way she carries herself. So much confidence. She seems like the type of person who knows who's who. She probably doesn't need to understand someone's language to figure them out. Cool lady!
Your grandmother and you have become my favorite reactors. I'm from Florida, love the videos and the editing is very funny. I think it's great you guys get to have this quality time as well as enjoying different cultures. Keep up the good work , say hi to grandmother for me,I love her, she's so sweet
Love watching your grandma, and your interaction with your grandma. It feels kind of rare to have an Asian grandma that is so open to trying different foods and actually really likes different foods. Keep it up, Zoey!
I just stumbled across your channel a couple of hours ago and I love it 🥰. So in love with your Grandma sweet sweet Lady. Would love to see your reactions to Southern Soul Food, there’s a lot of similarities to Korean food. 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
I feel so good watching these videos. They put a smile on my face from beginning to end. I can tell you guys are close. It reminds me of how I am with my grandma.
I love watching you two together, my grandma and I were very close. Grandma seems so sweet I’d love to hug her, and you both seem to enjoy one another!! Love from NYC!!❤️❤️❤️
As a Texan, I have never clicked on a video so quickly. 💜 Few things are a little different from what I'm used to (like usually sliced white bread and pickles with the pork) , but I am glad y'all loved it!
Me too but a while back I was served pulled pork with Kings Hawaiian rolls and it was great! Either way, i love it all and that precious Korean grandma! ❤
I love how you have a respectful relationship with your granny, yet laugh and have a good time too. Its great. This doesn't seem to exist too much in the US.
Really? I am 38 and still hang all the time with my 99 year old grandma. And be careful.... You're generalizing 300 million people based mostly how the coastal states treat their elders
@@tacosanddutches9878 It is true that many Americans just abandon their seniors by ditching them at old folks homes, when they are no longer convenient. They wind up dying after a lonely, empty end of life, being cared for by strangers who don't give a crap about them.
Some people are under the mistaken impression that K-pop is the greatest thing Korea has given the world. Those people are obviously unaware of Grandma OK.
because most of the food american eat are junk food with artificial flavors if American eat organic food they can live longer and have lesser disease and healthy life. Grow your own food and cook at home just like past American woman use to cook.
Jordan it’s more cause unhealthy food is cheap and healthy food is for some reason expensive in America. Something I’ll never understand as a non-american.
" *Doesn't taste too unhealthy, does it?* " The obesity problem in Texas would like a word you with. (but in all seriousness, I'm so glad that you guys tried Texas BBQ! makes my lone star heart happy xD)
It's not the food, it's the lack of exercise and sedentary lifestyles. Look at how many athletes were born and raised on southern so-called unhealthy foods and went on to become world class NBA, and NFL athletes.
Fermion 90% of weight loss and health is the food my guy. Also top athletes eat healthy food. It’s just that sugar is in everything we touch. I’ve lost 60 pounds eating all types of meat, I wake up eat eggs and bacon with veggies, and have barbecue for my dinner and I keep losing weight. It’s about all the processed sugary food we are eating that spiked insulin and leads to fat gain. MEAT IS NOT THE ENEMY, WEVE BEEN EATING FOR ASLONG AS WE COULD REMEMBER.
"It's so good I can't put it into words" trust me Korean grandma we all love it here too :) that food is one of our national treasures as far as I'm concerned. So glad you like it. I'm very curious to try Korean ribs myself. Heard good things about Korean bbq :) many kind regards
Korean bbq is awesome. They have lots of restaurants where you choose your own cuts of meat and then grill them at your table with some other sides. Its usually all you can eat!
I seriously love your grandma, and you are so good to her. You can really tell that you love your grandma very much and are very close with her. You two are fantastic
I just found your videos and I have to thank you for making them. You and your Grandma are so wonderful together. I've lost all of my grandparents and your videos make me feel like they're with me again. I wish I could send you both American food.
i’ve been watching grandma videos with my mom.. she loves her just as much as i do! thank you for the countless smiles and laughs. love from pennsylvania💓
It brings me joy that you make videos with your grandma since I only live with my grandparents it makes me happy that you get to show her new things and taste the flavors of the world if you see this thank you this is so intertaining
