As a Houstonian, i hope that you choose Houston. There are so many amazing restaurants here. I recommend going to an amazing restaurant called The Blind Goat, the owner is Christine Ha, she's a Master Chef winner, despite being blind. Trust me, you won't regret going to Houston.

It's gotta be Houston Mike overall the food scene is unmatched in Texas, you have to go eat at Himalaya and explore the Indian/Pakistani culture along with China Town and the Vietnamese food and we have amazing Korean food and the best sushi I don't know who you are listening too talking about dallas, you may as well go to Oklahoma if you choose dallas

I live in Houston and I definitely recommend it! Houston has diverse people and diverse food. There is excellent Korean, Thai, and Indian. You name it Houston has it. We weren’t call the fattest city for no reason LOL.

He has a lot of Jollibee in New York though so that's probably not a factor. He could do another food tour in Houston of all the different Asian food since that's endless. The Mexican food and Soul food scene is something he hasn't really explored yet and I would love for him to check that out (especially Breakfast Klub). Dallas might have better American style or European style restaurants, but the ethnic food scene in Houston is unrivaled in Texas.

Also it is a reflection of the quality of ingredients available here in the US. You find great places here, not saying you don't, but mostly not. Especially compared to food tasted abroad. Flavorwise and qualitywise. Simple thing observed by the mouth.

Yeah. Because diversity is what makes Korea and Japan so cool. I bet they can't wait to celebrate their first white European or African head of state. The Chinese, Japanese and the Koreans can barely tolerate one another for long standing historical reasons. Most of South-East Asia, India and Australia are terrified of China and with good reason. Houston is waaay way more diverse, especially when you think of cultures outside of the East Asian ones. But within East Asia, it's worth it for the absolute top tier Viet food alone. Probably only matched by SoCal and the Orange County or Westminster areas.

Hi Mikey!! I'm from Texas, but currently living in PA and I always preferred Houston over Dallas. I grew up in Central Texas south of Waco and North of Austin. I also like the surrounding small towns near Houston. Dallas isn't that far from Houston so you can always go up for a day trip food adventure. Houston also allows access to San Antonio and the gulf where you can easily make trips to NOLA. I really think you need to experience Texas outside of just the bbq. There is amazing German and Czech food as well as the wonderful Mexican and Tex-Mex food that is everywhere. It's a huge state and changes from area to area with the different settlers that came in. Hope you love the state as much as I do and Pro tip we have huge state pride. Do not talk bad about Texas to someone from Texas. It's a huge insult and you will make an enemy. We love our state. Enjoy it and the hospitality.

If you're moving to Texas for food, there is no choice but Houston. There is good food all over, but Houston is an underappreciated gem when it comes to variety and quality.

Pre-COVID DFW had flights to pretty much all the major cities in East Asia (HND/NRT, ICN, PEK, PVG, HKG) while IAH has flights to TPE, NRT and PEK.

I'm going to have to vote for Houston even though I live in Dallas. Dallas does have some superb Japanese and Korean food but the quality of the Chinese food is just disappointing imo. There's also solid viet, tex-mex, and some of the best BBQ in the state here in Dallas though.

Come to Houston! One fun fact I learned when I moved here was that Chinatown here in Houston is the largest geographically! Even bigger than the one in New York! Better diversity here also.

As a Houstonian, we'd love to have you here. There's a lot of food here in Houston outside of Chinese and Viet food. We have lots of BBQ, Mexican, Southern American, Thai, Country, Soul food, etc. Its a melting pot of people here and since I don't have a lot of experience living in Dallas I can't speak for them. I have enjoyed a lot of the sights Houston has but be warned, the weather is very taxing on the body. It can be ridiculously hot here for no reason even in the winter. Our winter is basically only one month of the year and we see snow like once every 5 years if that gives you any perspective. This year every other major city in Texas had snowfall. Our Korean food culture is growing by the year but not as fast as Dallas. I hope you see this and I wish you a great upcoming 2021.

HOUSTON. I'm from Dallas, but Houston is close to the beach, about 2 hours to Austin, 3 hours to San Antonio, and 5 hours to New Orleans! We are a true melting pot of cultures and food as you've seen, plus our real estate prices can't be beat right now. Hope to see you in our great city!

Dallas has the travel access you need for what you do, Hmart, and many BBQ, Chinese, Korean, and Vietnamese places. Only a couple Philipino places.

Lol well it's mostly true. I think in part it's due to our economy, quality food doesnt cost as much to make over there, I would assume. Plus competition is different.
