The 140-160 proof lambanog is what people of Quezon province like. They can use it as an antiseptic, they can light up charcoal easily and they can drink it. A multipurpose alcohol. The people making it has to be from reputable & certified distilleries because a lot have died from improper distillation. Usually comes from the new distillery start ups.

Lambanog derives from young coconut buds cut the buds put some container on it and then the liquid coming from it is what we called tuba to be cook in the fermentation to become lambanog
I remember my dad drinking in the mountain with his mountain friends all red and was talking to anyone with words you can t even understand and we just laughed until he went out for sleep. He started drink at around morning like after breakfast then around 10am he was knocked out. 😂😂😂
i have an advice sir. While drinking hard liquors, drink water. plenty of water. use water as a chaser.. i told you it is effective.. after drinking, drink water. luke warm water. not too cold, not too hot. you will not get hang over or something in the morning. try it
@@jamesgrein678 its true though if you drink water while drinking alcoholic beverages you wont get a hangover in the morning but you would still be drunk.
Just came back from Quezon province. Drinking lambanog is a shared event amongst family and friends. Typical sessions 7-8 hours thats how you should drink it. We drink Sasa Lambanog that comes from stems of Sasa tree on the river sides. Lambanog from Coconut flower is Tupig I think. Finally, over the past year I have found the Lambanog seems to be less strong and effective. There were problems here with too much Methanol causing deaths so I wonder if this is why the Lambanog may seem weaker now, less Methanol.

local made is the same, "puro" but some of the products are not properly made or some amateurs who dont know how to make them properly, but they still sell those anyway for cheaper. those ones are probably what they call deadly.
Thank you for the honest review. I also felt what you experienced when i first tried lambanog. Felt normal and not drunk at all until i woke up with a very terrible hangover the next day. Never tried lambanog again after almost 7 yrs now.
Lambanog is from coconut sap taken from the stem of a coconut flower atop a tree where a cutb is made on the stem which makes the sap flow and later distilled.

Try LAMBANOG sa Sasa or Nipa! Better than coconut lambanog... from Northern Quezon is the best Nipa Lambanog.. I agree that Coconut Lambanog is soft.. or better to call it "weak" .. trust me on this one.. go to Infanta Quezon or ask someone to buy you one there and try the Lambanog sa Sasa or Nipa.. and try to drink it with other people.. it tastes smooth but strong and will definitely stimulate our Brain..
the brand of lambanog is island coco lambanog , cost per 750 ml. bottle is 100 pesos. to make 1 liter of lambanog you need 3 gallons of coconut sap or tuba at a price of 50 pesos per gallon , cost of empty glass bottle at 24 pesos , cap at 8 pesos plus label and 5 hours of distilling
Great video! I would question how they “certify” the proof, and suggest you try the Freezer Test. When I was visiting Mindanao, I put a new bottle (popular brand, forgot the name) of 80 proof vodka in the freezer to chill.. and it froze! Since home refrigerator/freezers are not cold enough to freeze real 80 proof, that means some distributors/makers over there are diluting the vodka with water.. not nice :/
Find a Triple Distilled Lambanog and its much better In Tayabas, you can get one bottle from Mallari Distillery for under 1k php. You can get flavored ones, Lipote, Pineapple and etc from Capistrano Distillery. These are the Legit Lambanog you can get.

we used to drink lambanog in a nightly basis becuase it doesn't smell bad unlike other strong liquors which come with your sweat and it doesnt give us hangovers

Lambanog is the processed product of coconut, try the traditional one Mr Bulbul when you visit PH for a unique experience. HaHaHa! The unprocessed and traditional one is called "Tuba", and the months-old "tuba" by the Waray is the "Bahalina". Coconut nectar harvested from coconut flowers for "Tuba". It is a white/clouded white water-like same with the coconut juice, but colouring is added called "tungob or tungog". The tuba taste a little vinegary, days old unconsumed tuba will also be made to vinegar.
*Mr. Bulbul pls. try Barikulkol from Bicol, it's similar from lambanog which are produced from palms but the difference is lambanog is from coconut palm and Barikulkol is from Nipa palm which grows on waters.*

Try lambanog made from Sasa Its localy made in southern quezon ph. Madalas yung nga gumaga ay Nag tatago ng pinaka purong alak they brew it for a year or more to make it softer, but it is relly strong
