[RECIPE IN THIS DESCRIPTION] Korean Style Ground Turkey.
What makes this recipe “Korean style” is the almost sticky, spicy umami sauce that accompanies it. This recipe is not only quick to make but also incredibly tasty!
| The Recipe |
INGREDIENTS:
- ¼ cup (60ml) Soy Sauce or Coconut Aminos
- ¼ tsp Xanthan Gum
- 1.5 tbsp Sweetener, preferably a brown sweetener (I used Sukrin Gold)
- 1/2 tsp Red Chili Flakes
- 2 tbsp Sesame Oil
- 2 Garlic Cloves, minced
- 1 tbsp Ginger, minced
- 1 lb (450g) Ground Turkey
- 4 tbsp Fresh Chives, chopped
- 2 tbsp Sesame Seeds
METHOD:
1. In a small bowl combine soy sauce, xanthan gum, sweetener, and chili flakes. Whisk rapidly until xanthan gum is combined, set aside.
2. In a large frying pan, over medium heat, add sesame oil, garlic and ginger. Cook until fragrant (approx 1 minute).
3. Add ground turkey and fry until cooked, breaking into small chunks as it cooks.
4. Add the soy sauce mixture, mix well and turn the heat up to high. Fry for 2 minutes, until fragrant.
5. Turn off the heat and add the chives. Serve & sprinkle each serving with the sesame seeds. Enjoy!
