Koreana's First Time Playing Jackstone (feat. Lumpia, Chicharon)

Jackstone is pretty much similar to Gonggi, but its more easier since you have more time to pick up the jackstones because of the ball.

There's 2 different kinds of jackstone games. One is the one with the ball that you played but the jacks are usually smaller and you use 10 jacks only. The other one is called Chinese jackstones. That one uses 1 bigger bean bag and three smaller bean bags and is very similar to gongji. Kids play that a lot in school. Ah, memories. 😜 Thanks for playing this game. Actually Jackstone for me is much more challenging than Gonggi. After the tenth level, you transition to the 'Tricks' much more level up of the game. There are tricks that you also do the levels, 1, 2, 3 and 4th so on and so fourth. Remind you that there are at least like 20 tricks within the game. Jackstone is the ultimate "killer game time" at that time. You can play it for hours and still enjoy it if you're a group playing. I used to dominate in this game. I used to know tons of tricks. 👍 Sadly Jackstone has been neglected by new generations of course by gadgets and social media.

there are a lot of version of jackstones here in Philippines. In our place, we only use 6 jacks and play it on 6 levels. After we finish it, we will move to what we called "exhibitions" (6 levels too) where the players are free to do their tricks. hehe

Jackstone has that "exhibition level" after finishing the basic level.....thats where the real challenge begins....

Jackstone is one of the reason every 90's childhood is so happy. Many childhood friendship starts and many childhood enemies started 🤣🤣🤣🤣

There are "tricks levels" in jackstone after you finished level 10, anyone of you will decide on what tricks you will play. The bounce of the ball makes the game more interesting because you can make tricks that make the game more challenging, such as circling your hand around the ball before it touches the ground for the 2nd time. The "Korean way" is actually one of the tricks in jackstone.

This is so wholesome! 💜 It's so heartwarming to see two different nationalities coming together sharing each other's cultures while being genuinely open to each others similarities & differences while playing & just having a good time! 😄

It's hard to play jackstones on certain wood tiles, like the one the one you have, since it dampens the bounce of the ball. There are two more variations to play it: A (harder) version is to avoid touching the other stones when picking a certain number. The next one is the exhibition round. You need to create different fancy moves in picking the stones; e.g. after throwing the ball up and picking a stone, you need to move around your hand (with the stone) around ball before catching it.

Jackstones is one of my favorite childhood games. The trick that I remember is the one Sylvia did 😂 and also pick-up sticks and Chinese garter. I miss playing those games.

I just got here and you brought me back from my childhood, jackstone is really a creative game and we usually play it with six pieces of stones and after you reach the level 6 it has some add ons levels just like ate moy showed in last clips, the 1 knock, 2 knocks, cave, around the world, baskerball and etc. 😍

4:34 We do this to know who will be the one to play first (the player who will catch the most number of stone). 10:15 yeah that's how we do it. Just pick all the remaining. For two players, sometimes we use 6 stones only but it's up to you if you want to play 10 or 12. Actually we play 10 or 12 if more than 2 players. After the level 6 (level 10 or 12) based on the number of stones you used, there is a 'tuktok' and 'cave' part before you reach the exhibition part. I think the hardest for the exhibition is the 'tahip bilao'. When you finish the exhibition, you will save 1 stone. You will go back to level 1 again 'til exhibition part and save another stone. The player who will save the most number of stone will be the winner. That's how we play it. Matagal 'tong laruin kaya 6 stones lang ang gamit namin for 2 players.

I first watched Gonggi played on TWICE's TTT New Year edition (this year) and yes, it's almost the same with the concept of jackstone. However, the stones of Gonggi is a bit smaller.

I have played this a lot with friends and cousins I my childhood. Whenever we lost the proper Jackstone, we used round pebbles with any kind of small balls or even marbles. We even slice roll ons to get that ball inside.
