James Holden at Dancity Festival, June 2013. Still one of the most unforgettable music moments of my life, he played this track towards the end of his set when the sun was about to rise...magical and touching! It reminds me of so many things that I always cry when I listen to it. Music is beautiful, guys!
I was there too man, Your 100% right, unbelievable track to end a set, pure euphoria! will never forget it myself, fair play to the twitch lads for booking him!
does anyone remember this pretty much being the finisher at the wearhouse project curated by for-tet/carribou with the huge wall of lights?, it was more than euphoric
Amazing. I love it. On the one hand you can imagine that the synthesisers were there to have made this in 1992, but at the same time this sort of tune has a Janus-like retro-referential and future-gazing quality to it, which wouldn't have been possible then. Electronic music marches on as it was, as it is, and with tracks like this as milestones.
Jacques Greene in manchester opened with this earlier on in the year, been trying to find it since! Such a good song! Can seee a lot of sets using this now!
could be. For me, I like it because it has a demoscene feeling weared in the clothes knitted by modern music production techniques. Such a "modern retro" as someone has called it.
Compelling. Glad to hear a young electronic producer try something different to that obvious eton messy/generic university house clubnight audio porno that's been polluting soundcloud for the last 3 years.
When he played this at In:motion in Bristol everyone was on some good md and everyone had their hands in the air and i think i saw jesus on stage. /coolstorybro
