KORG Pa3X Keyboard Internal System USB Drive Upgrade

This is a hands-on demonstration on how to replace and upgrade the internal system drive with a much larger capacity USB drive to hold more SET files, samples and MIDI files.
The internal system USB drive holds the system OS (Operating System) and all the Resource files. Make sure first you BACKUP ALL data, just in case. You can always swap back the original USB to access any unsaved data.
This procedure will replace the OS and Resource data. Just like installing a brand new hard drive for your PC, you do need to re-install both the OS and Resource files.
This video also includes a simple guide to installing the OS and RESOURCES files from KORG's website.

After a week of nerves with internal hard drive and bad sectors - successfully upgrade and update Pa3X 61 to 32GB! Just to mention that I used a Kingston 2.0 flash drive in this case. I have tried 16GB of Sandisk 3.1 before, but it doesn't recognize it. Thanks for the video!!!

a tutorial on how to set the pa3x i.e the master eq, the max studio, the 4 fx processor settings of the left and the right hand would be very helpful and welcome. looking forward to a video on the detailed explanation on the different global and media settings.

Thanks for the comments.The KORG PA series have great built in audio management that I guess not many new keyboard players know about, like the multiband compression and the EQ on the master audio bus. The PDF manual does explain it very well, but a visual instruction sometimes makes easy to grasp. I'll see what I can do, time allowing.

Yes, any USB thumb drive. But as always, better with known brand.

I know if you try to load PA4x sets, it will give you error, but I have never came across your error. Maybe check the manual for error message descriptions.

What is the maximum size limit of a pendrive which we can connect on the front or rear usb of Pa3X?

I use 16Gb and works fine. Better read the manual for manufacturer tech info.
