In fairness its not their most popular or accepted album although I always liked it. Twas their Black Album albeit not for the masses. Slower & heavier sometimes is FTW
They can't Cover the whole song, no way they can play Kerry King and Hanneman Solos. Nu Metal Guitarists sucks. I don't even know why they show off to have a 7 strings guitar they don't even know to play with 6. They chose to cover slow slayer Song otherwise they won't be able to follow. No way they could have played Angel of Death or Rainning Blood, even just the intro.
Korn might be one of the best cover bands. Their cover of Alice In Chain “Would?”, Pjnk Floyd “Another Brick In Wall Pt.1, 2, 3”, Nightmare Before Christmas “Kidnap The Santy Claus”, War’s “Lowrider”, Ice Cube’s “”Wicked”, The Charlie Daniel’s Band “The Devil Went to Georgia”, Cameo’s “Word Up”,
Nu metal crowds weren't even born when this was going on. I believe I read somewhere that somebody said that the crowd that's watching it was nu metal also. Nu metal wasn't invented until just recently. This was videotaped in 2000 and absolutely sucks. I shared it to the Slayer wall and Slayer fans are literally laughing at them. They really should change their name to Korny.
Nope! I watched it. And I was around when Slayer first formed. Not to mention I witnessed with my own eyes all of the people that laughed at this video when I shared it. It's a failed attempt at trying to play it. I have been to several Korn shows. They're not bad. But this one definitely is. I've also seen Slayer many times... Enough to actually know what the song sounds like and it doesn't sound like. I've even learned how to play it from the guitar magazines and they're not even hitting the right notes. They remind me of that one dude at a party from the 80's who's trying to use that crappy stairway to heaven song to get laid by. Every woman knows why these people are playing it for them. And they clearly don't care. Every woman I have met has told me in the past that that song sounds stupid when people play it to them. This song is no different. People should stick to playing their own music and leave others alone because they just butcher it.
He only replaced David for a short tour. I sort of wish David and Fieldy would come back, I have seen KoRn live twice but It would be a dream come true to see the original 5!
@@billrobertjoe You're right, it's 2 harmonic notes that Brian is playing. Kind of similar to the harmonics they play during the verses from their song Good God. I've always loved that riff and harmonics from Good God, so simple yet it sounds really good at the same time.
Very true, I think Head and Munky playing together really was such a great thing, but Head really nailed eerie notes like that back at this time (sort of from follow the leader to untouchables maybe?)
@Seekup4ever This drummer? You mean Mike Bordin? One of the hardest hitting metal drummers of all time? Faith No More, Ozzy, Suicidal Tendencies? Good friends with Dave Lombardo? Mike Bordin can play whatever is thrown at him.
I remember seeing Korn on the sick and twisted tour with Mike Bordin March 2000 Chicago while David stood on the side of the stage chillin. I was so bummed because David was my favorite drummer at the time and being new to drumming myself I didn't know who Mike Bordin was and his epic track record of drumming.
I'm in shock that they are playing one of the best metal songs ever and the crowd looks like they have no idea what they are playing. I'd be going insane!
😂I can feel the devil himself, coming up through the ground and engulfing "all of our collective SLAYER souls"! We're All Doomed! ' I tell ya!!! S L A Y E R fucking rules!!! Get the fuck over it! BEE-OTCHES!
I saw this when they came to Dallas!! I think it was the BFD put on by 97.1 The Eagle at the time. Metallica I think had James out if I remember correctly. Korn came out. Fieldy introduced it by saying to the crowd, anyone here know Slayer South of Heaven??? Great show!!
I saw them in 2000 in Denver on the Summer Sanitarium tour, with Mike on drums. Killer show. Kid Rock, powerman 5000, system of a down, korn, and Metallica. Awesome show.
That crowd really had NO IDEA, JUST LIKE OTHER PEOPLE HERE COMMENTED. They had blank looks like "What album is this from??" Plus at one point most of the crowd stopped clapping when a different verse came up, LOL
