I literally saw that Kösem clearly favored Osman over Mehmet a lot of times, and Kösem even put Osman on the throne when she could’ve put Mehmet on it. Osman is a snake
She always loved and supported him the most even though he wasn't her son, he was her favorite child, there were problems between them but she still loved him very much, and avenged his death. She kept remembering him.

@@ilayda426 you need to understand the characters of magnificent century are totally fictional, hurrem and Kösem in real history have nothing to do and are completetly different from what the show have portrayed them. Same for all the other characters. The only characters who were portrayed correctly were safiye sultan (except she never rebelled against ahmed or Kösem, she loved them and they were friends irl) but like she was i’d say the most power hungry one irl, Osman 2 his character and his life was portrayed correctly and they didn’t change anything. Mustafa 1 also.
He was not snake. It was I guess Kosem mistake to put Mustafa on throne and the relationship with Osman was broken because she didn't show trust to him.

Maturity is realising kosem was never same to her childern after osman's betrayal. She loved them all but after mehmet assassination she gave up TOTALLY. she only faught for power from that day.
Yes definitely after Mehmet’s death kösem was completely changed.She is lost her smile and innocent ;kösem loved Osman this is true but Mehmet is something else for kösem because he is her first son and kösem actually,loved Mehmet the most among her children. Kösem raised him, loves him, treated him more than her own sons since 1605, but she just giving the throne to Mustafa just only 96 days. Osman was the symbols of Betrayal. The throne should belongs to Mehmed not him. Kösem regency would started from 1618 not 1623. Osman would died alongside his mother.

No wonder with constant betrayals, death of loved ones and back stabbing from own.…finally we see the monster in Valide Kosem even ready to kill her grandson for the throne in the ending episode.She was too good as a Sultana and underwent lots of pain.Osman did not deserve a mother like her.Had it been hurrem, safiye or nurbanu… osman would have been under the bottom of bosphorous.Ungrateful sultan.
That was one fight the real Kosem never won. She actively attempted to prevent and end the practice of princes being assassinated by whichever brother took the throne. That's why they caged the princes later, though that also failed to keep them alive. But she did try. Albeit, she was the one killing them off eventually.
