After the first round I thought Pat Stay was going to body Serius. Then he had one of the most cringeworthy third rounds I've seen. This made the battle totally debatable. First round clearly Pat, second round debatable and the third clearly Jones.

Pat's "forget the battle, let me talk to you" in his third rounds have really become hit or miss. in this case it's a miss. his 3rd is his worst I've seen from him performance wise.

Pat Stay stumbled and stuttered so much in his third round, he almost sounded like someone having his first battle. The battle was somewhat close until then, but such an unfocused delivery really seals the deal no matter what you said before or after.

Imma have to re-watch this. Pat had the first pretty convincingly but the 2nd was kinda even and the 3rd beyond Pats choke the angle was just useless. I hate when rappers get on a soap box or pulpit and dont have no bars in the round. Clearance Rack was the best thing i took from that long winded story. It didn't help that Serius heated up and blazed his third rd, he probably woulda won against an actual Pat rd regardless. So 1st Pat off first watch 2nd iffy 3rd Serius, clearly Serius is so dated and boring and dry and his punches often have horrible angles and he thinks ppl didn't get them but they just werent hot. He'll say shit like " I'll catch him for the snow, got toast for the powder/ This Frenchy Fucked on the Drop, Like Soap in the Shower" ....... id just be like......ok??? Kinda like how Pat pointed out his quesdilla bar. His long pauses and "I Mean" 's , and waiting for crowd reactions, it just draws out the battle and ruins his rhythm. He's not that flow heavy anyway, he is more a conversationalist as he states. Problem with conversationalists are they often have no ramp up. They don't lead you to the punch. So when they miss, they miss hard. Crickets, dead silence. When they hit it can not be as impactful because there was no lead up. Occasionally they'll drop a haymaker that is undeniable and floors the room, or they will borrow from other styles and do a scheme or flow based set. Shit will be fire and unexpected. Serius heated up during the battle, Pat cooled off. Pats forced personals kinda fell flat, especially in the third. Serius hard bars and angles that worked were 'patch work' but they were there and when pieced together arguably had a better 2nd and possibly even 1st. They both failed at consistency, Pats grunts and chokes are no different than Serius's "I mean"'s and chuckles. Serius's attempts at freestyles were cringy aswell. So off first watch, I'll go Serius 2-1, thats giving him the 2nd although it was very close to me. Could easily change my answer on another viewing. One thing is clear, this was no 3-0 and despite who won, we all loss. Both of them could of performed better although Serius 3rd all 3 rds woulda been sufficient.

I like what Pat's trying to do here in changing from the angles and styles we usually see in battle rap. Whether it's done well or not I appreciate battle rappers truly experimenting with something that's actually original. That being said Pat's 3rd round did nothing for me. Between him choking and the concept that just seemed like a reach, it definitely fell flat. This was still a close battle to me though. Technically Jones probably got the w, but I was feelin Pat's second and most of his first more than Jones'.
