I just found out about this just a day ago. It's not only my favorite video game of all time since I've been playing from the 1980's, but it's the only video game I've played twice. I totally support POEM Studios that is doing this retrofit but I also signed onto their newsletter so as to get updates on their progress. Why wouldn't Disney/Lucas Arts not be behind this? I also hope that there would be a KOTOR 3 as well as similar retrofit of KOTOR 2 by POEM Studios. Thanks for the post.

I know there are fans who have never experienced the KOTOR game and may only know of it from the online Old Republic game, so of course I am excited to see this game return for the new generations and for those star wars fans who haven't played whether they end up liking it or hating I am more than happy to see this great game re introduce the fantastic story. It came out in a time when Star Wars didn't feel like Star wars, I mean when the Prequels were coming out and this game told a story much like the Original films and offered twists and different, interesting characters. If they ask for money I'll gladly donate.

I've been a fan boy of KotOR ever since it came out. OF COURSE IM EXCITED. I just hope Disney doesn't kill the dream :,) That and if it works on Mac or not. Regardless, i'll break out my old as hell PC to play it. I must.

Disney is going to KILL THIS SO FAST :/... However... this may serve to remind Disney/EA/Bioware that WE FREAKING LOVE KOTOR!!!!!!!!!!!! not the abomination that was SWTOR... but that we will THROW MONEY AT THE SCREEN until KOTOR gets remade. but like I stated, this may prompt EA/Bioware under orders from Disney to make an official updated remake of KOTOR I and maybe 2 (they could do away with 2 as far as story goes and I wouldn't be heartbroken). Just got to wait and see at this point, but I will be shocked if the independent project is allowed to continue... I was already curious if EA might announce something at E3 this year about a potential KOTOR update/remake/reboot, and if that is happening, there is no way EA will allow this independent studio to put our there own version of something EA might do themselves, if only to keep from being criticized if the independent studio version is better than what EA would put out lol...

I'm playing KotOR on my iPad mini right now, loving it, the old graphics are dated on PC but fine on tablet. And as a single-player game, KotOR now belongs in the mobile gaming zone more than the PC zone, because PC gaming is about MMOs and other kinds of multiplayer gaming. I play KotOR on the train, which has no wifi. So I'm not interested in a PC remake of KotOR I. The KotOR story is far more important than the graphics. I just want KotOR II on iPad please.

Really hoping they stay true to the originals if Lucasarts ever spark to this. I don't want to trash on "The Old Republic" but I don't want these to be MMO.. ruins the game for me, and the magic of the story. Bland game. HYPE FOR KOTOR!!!
