I forgot that I did a experiment last year with my integra wheel bearings. I put Koyo Japanese bearings in one side and Centric Chinese bearings in the other. After 16 track days and 10k miles I pull them out to check them out. They have differences and cost difference also. Watch n Enjoy!

I'm a Koyo fan. I think in the Japanese culture, there's a high level of quality that's driven into the workers, whereas Chinese quality seems to answer to no one and consistency is all over the place.

KOYO Seiko, same company that makes Seiko watch supply almost all Toyota bearings. You know why it is the best one. Koyo, Scheffler, SKF, Timken are good. NTN is decent but I have bad experience with it.

Quality control, quality control, quality control.. all manufacturing isn’t the same. You can’t beat Japanese engineering and manufacturing..

Good comparison. I always preferred Koyo bearings but I try to find anything that will last a long time.

What’s the driving durability on the Koyo’s please?

Koyo makes bearings that are on the same level as OEM(NTN). You can expect about the same life as an oem bearing.

Hey, no offence, but 50000 miles on the road and 80 track days would provide more accurate idea about how well they’re made. The time usually proves the quality, but for me 10000 miles on a decent car (which Honda is) is nothing at all ✌🏻

You are right ish. Some have had new brgs fail after 3 races. So most people at the top level change them every year as preventive maintenance. Im not saying I'm at the to at all lol. I was changing hubs 32mm to 36mm so its was the best I could do. If I have them in for along time I'll re do this vid.
