XG has been criticized for using K-POP in a malicious way to increase their own popularity. some K-POP fans who are not happy with XG's inclusion due to their unethical tactics. XG claims that their music genre is not defined as K-pop or J-pop, but rather an undefined "x-pop" genre. However, generally speaking, their music does belong to the K-pop genre. XG's addictive melodies and group dances are typical characteristics of K-pop. Therefore, when XG sings K-pop style songs, they can be classified as K-pop regardless of nationality. I believe that if XG wants to use the popularity and system that K-pop has built up for global market expansion, respect and courtesy are needed first. And the targets are not only K-pop artists but also K-pop fans. Please consider this when enjoying XG's dance and music.
