How? 250 a month? How???! I’ve never seen 250 a month for residential alarm monitoring. SimpliSafe is around 30 bucks a month. There’s even local companies that will install a system and do better rates. I just don’t get it.
IT is BS that they cannot adapt her system and integrate it back. Plus it is not about ADT, - there are plenty of other companies which would love to help with existing hardware. It doesn't take big toll to install some extra bridges or modules to reintegrate system back. Plus it can be wired also to home internet.
That old hardware is not compatible modern cell communicators. It’s not an ADT issue. I have a system around the same age that is compatible it’s made be a different manufacturer. Hers is a TS by Honeywell. Mine is a DSC both are on ADT Pulse.
ADT and most national alarm companies suck. The 3G sunset shouldn’t have any effect on her systems devices other than the communicator. At most you’d need to change the main keypad on a self contained system. No reason to upgrade everything. I’ve been in the industry for 30 years and predatory companies like ADT, Vivint, Safe Home Security…. give my industry a bad name. Always go local when choosing an alarm company.
I've hated ADT since I was 13 yrs old when someone broke into our home while I was there and the system didn't do what it was supposed to do. I see some things never change.
